the idea that you can buy milk at the grocery store seems just so self evident. it's hard to imagine the time before pasteurization and refrigeration were common, when the milkman would come by your house every morning and lactate into a bottle for you.
So when my mom was going back to school for her masters, I was a little kid and got enrolled in the on-campus pre-school where they give people going into child care professions some hands on experience while also offering a free place to drop off your kid when going to class.
Anyway I found the portfolio they made of me back then and honestly this one entry almost made me cry when I got to the end.
I got 91/100 for Russian, 5/5 for maths, 94/100 for social studies and 98/100 for English
I guess, I know my second language better than my native language lmao what can I say
Been reading “Atlas shrugged” and had to sketch these two cuz I love ‘em. Esp Hank, he’s such a cutie, honestly, he deserves more than anybody can give him
no bc this video has me in TEARS it looks like a sketch or a bit or a fucking tiktok but no that woman is legitimately fighting for her life while this bitch records some socmed segment for a ski resort
I have this running bit whenever I'm in Grand Central Station with someone where I'm like "You know, they filmed Madagascar here. This is when they had to chase down Marty the Zebra while he was trying to go to the wild" in like a very serious reverent tone. It has never made anyone but me laugh but I still do it every time.
Anyway I decided to show my dad and my brother the place and I was about to launch into my hilarious Madagascar bit when my brother-- who has never been to New York before and has never heard me do this-- smoothly interrupted me to go "Oh hey the giraffe from Madagascar got his head stuck in that big clock." Family bonds truly are something
