Got massive art block and I tried fixing it by listening to bionicle audiobooks to fill that void

Ooof, sorry for the inactivity on the side blog. I am going through it a bit this year so it’s kinda taken a back seat.

I had a hysterectomy back in February for severe endometriosis. I’ve been begging for the surgery since I was diagnosed at 19, and I’m now 34, and it was kind of surreal finding a doctor who finally agreed. Getting very very sick last year probs helped my case 😅 but you know. I feel so much better, but it was major surgery and still took a lot out of me. And then I had some sort of related complications? Two ruptured ovarian cysts less than two months apart, that my doctor now thinks is actually an endometriosis nodule they missed, so surgery again for me in September 🫠 My right side is very ow and it doesn’t go away even with the pain meds.

Also my car decided to be dumb and have a million things break all at once, and I had a massive car bill. So between that, the surgery, the two ER visits, and future surgery, it’s been a little stressful. My work has been very understanding, both with me being out so much and needing to pick up extra hours, but oh man, I’m so exhausted.

With everything going on, the hyperfixation waned a bit. I still follow the tag, so popular posts show up on my feed, but I used to browse the tag and reblog stuff every day. Just don’t have the energy or focus for it atm.

Which like, this is the original hyperfixation, so this will never truly be a dead blog. It always rears its head every few years. But if I don’t show up much for the time being, that’s why. I just didn’t want anybody to think that like, the blog is dead or that I was abandoning it or anything.

it's funny that Tahu is short and gold in that final build lol but honestly the fact that his Hau is no longer a Hau Nuva is probably going to fuck him up one day. like he reaches out on instinct to shield his brothers and sister - you know, like a leader is supposed to be able to do - and his mask will only protect him, leaving him to watch his teammates take the full brunt of whatever's coming at them. there's that one moment of panic as they all remember he can't shield them like he used to be able to and then they have to scramble to defend themselves. he would have so much guilt watching one of them get hurt because of the way the Ignika changed him. gold armor doesn't mean anything if he can't protect them
