I was wondering how would Komaeda reach to urban legend stories? Dude likes horror movies that involves ghosts and zombies and I think he probably would be interested to talk about urban legends, as urban legends can be ambigous (either it's true or it's just a myth).

This is an interesting take! I can imagine him liking to talk about various urban legends and conspiracy theories just as a way to exercise his own sense of imagination! The reality of his life has been pretty harsh as we all know, so indulging in topics of fantasy would be a fun escape for him! As for the real urban legends I think it would be hilarious if he and Hajime somehow ended up investigating them at ungodly hours in the night and filming everything that goes on like a chaotic episode of buzzfeed unsolved lmao.

IM ALIVE!!!! Hello!!!! I am so sorry for being gone for so long out of no where, it’s been difficult for me to post for awhile because of IRL stuff going on, but I had to make time for something on our boy’s birthday, so here’s this!

Morning time with Nagito on his birthday!!!

Luckily, you somehow wake up first. You were planning to set up a nice breakfast before your boyfriend Nagito woke up.

You slowly move out of the bed to avoid waking him up, and as you leave the room you get a look at his sleeping form. He was snoring quietly and hugging a pillow with the most peaceful look on his face. Your heart swelled with love for him.

For breakfast you make eggs and bagels with various spreads and toppings laid out on the table along with a pot of green tea. In the center of the table, you place a vase of Iris flowers (they symbolize hope!) and next to it, you place his present, a gold necklace with a yellow butterfly pendant (yellow butterflies also represent hope heehee) wrapped in a light green butterfly print wrapping paper. You also tie a few balloons of various colors on the chairs.

Upon hearing the noise of your cooking, Nagito wakes up a bit bewildered by your absence and heads into the kitchen in his pajamas to see what you were doing. Upon seeing everything his eyes widen.

“Happy birthday babe!!” You exclaim happily.

“S/o?! You...you didn’t have to..” he started.

“But i did!! Come on! Eat up! You got a whole day of celebration ahead of you!” You reply as you plant a quick kiss on his forehead.

Nagito’s eyes start to water up a bit as he smiles warmly. He places his hand on your cheek and pulls you in for a proper kiss. After pulling away, he grabs your hands and looks into your eyes. “Thank you my love, it’s perfect.”

“Anything for you pretty boy!” You say cheekily with a wink, causing a pink tint to spread across his face.

You both sit down and start eating. You reach over to his birthday present and place it in front of him. He laughs nervously. “Ah...you really are too good to me...”

“Well you deserve it!!! Now open the gift!!!”

He slowly unravels the wrapping paper, careful not to tear it as to not soil your hard work. Upon seeing the box, he opens it up and his eyes widen once again.

“Darling, this...this is..!” He stutters.

“You like it?”

“Of course i do!!! You truly are amazing, s/o, doing all of this for someone like—“

You cut him off. “Ah ah! Hey! Remember! You’re treasure, not trash!” You go over to him and kiss him on the cheek. “Want me to help you put it on, angel?” He nods happily.

You take the necklace and put it around his neck and he holds up his hair. After securing the clip, you get a pocket mirror out of a nearby drawer and hold it up in front of him. You both smile at the sight of the yellow butterfly shining in the sunlight.

Nagito then turns to you with a soft look on his face. You look into his eyes and and marvel at how mesmerizing they are along with the happiness in them. He then takes your hand in his. “I really must be the ultimate lucky student to have you in my life.”

Happy birthday Nagito!!! Thank you for being such a huge source of comfort for me and so many others!!!

Random headcanons I have for Nagito

He normally doesn’t care much for sweet stuff, but he really likes things that have only a small hint of sweetness in them like bitter dark chocolate, coconut water, tea, the less sweet kinds of mochi

Usually sleeps in the fetal position since he feels pretty cold all the time and curling up that way helps stay a bit warmer at night

Post game heals from his lymphoma after a very long recovery process with support from Hajime and some help from Mikan and Nekomaru (Mikan helping with the medical stuff, and Nekomaru helping him train his body to grow stronger through exercises after he’s clear of cancer)

I know I said this in a past headcanon, but he really likes butterflies!!! A lot!!! Specifically yellow butterflies since they symbolize hope

Has dry skin and ends up having to use moisturizer/lotion a lot

Learned how to speak English pretty well by teaching himself through all the time he spends reading

Really likes reading Shakespeare plays and lowkey wanted to be a theater actor for a while

I don’t know why but I think he would probably smell like a mix of vanilla and sanitizer

He doesn’t really know how to swim too well at all, but he really likes the beach and the ocean! From the fresh breeze, to the calming atmosphere, it’s really great place to relax

I think throughout the killing game he was secretly very scared and upset at the deaths happening around him but because of how he copes by believing that good things will come after the bad and that every tragedy that occurs is something that had to happen for the greater good, he forces himself to feel numb to everything happening and doesn’t even realize his own emotions himself until one day post game it just kinda hits him out of nowhere like a really delayed reaction :( he ends up feeling confused about why he’s suddenly upset when to him, it’s pointless to get upset about the past especially when Hope has already endured since the killing game

He does eventually get the help he needs and learns how to process through everything and heal from it. After a while, he finds it easier to smile and for the first time in a while is able to let himself be genuinely happy :) he still has bad days every so often, but this time he has support from people around him
