The yellow blanked Jimin is always holding is a representation of the light Sun is providing everyday to Moon.

To explain the tides and water in the MV: There's another phenomenon that creates huge tides and it's pretty similar to an eclipse. "The gravitational force of Moon and Sun pulls the water in the oceans upwards making the oceans bulge, which creates high tide in the areas of Earth facing Moon on the opposite side". Basically, Sun is aligned with Moon, making huge tides in the oceans.

In EUPHORIA, we can see Jungkook running to Jimin who is riding a bike. Sun, in yellow clothes, and their infinite circle trying to stay closer to their love.

In the teaser of IDOL, Jungkook is seen with the sun behind him.

In the MV, Jimin is the only one facing the sun.

And let's not forget this.

There is an old tale about the Sun and the Moon in which they are deeply in love with each other, even though they can't stay together.

The tale says that when one of them rises, the other one disappears, due to a curse by God. The Sun has the duty to take care of the day and all diurnal creatures. The Moon also has a duty with nocturnal creatures and taking care of the night.

However, they can't stay together. The Sun is always providing light to the Moon to keep shining and to be able to give us some light at night, making them (the Moon, who lives in a grim and sad darkness) happy.

There's a moment when they finally give some pause to their sad destiny and the "day to day” monotonous life. They stop chasing each other in the sky, and for a moment they can stay together. The shortest and most precious moment of their lives: the eclipse.

The eclipse, a rare event where the lovers can finally meet each other.

SERENDIPITY means "the phenomenon of finding happy, valuable, agreeable, interesting things by chance". Basically, it means people can find happiness when they aren't looking for it. In other words, it could mean that destiny was playing around again, but in our benefit.

This SERENDIPITY isn't about a good destiny though. It's a really unfortunate one. Two lovers who can't stay together because they have to fulfill their duty/role. The real SERENDIPITY happens when, even though there are many circumstances that make their love impossible, they find a way to, occasionally, stay together.

[WHAT DOES HAPPEN IN THE MV? AND WHY IS IT RELATED TO JUNGKOOK AND JIMIN?]

As we can see on this post, with pictures taken when BTS were in Malta recording Bon Voyage, there's an order in the pictures that makes things interesting. Jungkook's picture is right under the picture of the sun, and the cat's picture is under the moon. Keep it in mind.

When BTS talk about "no coincidence" in their music, they are talking about destiny.

There's a little setup of the solar system in the room. SERENDIPITY is all about the Sun and the Moon’s love story.

The fact that Jimin is touching the cactus, even though he knows it is dangerous and he can hurt himself means he is not afraid of the circumstances of his love. It's a prohibited love.

The little yellow ball Jimin touched was a tiny representation of the sun, or our Sun. The moment he touched it, the ball moved away.

As the eclipse appears on the screen, Jimin and a huge yellow ball also appears. Jimin is the moon, our Moon, and the huge ball is a representation of the Sun.

And, because of the sudden appearance of the Sun, Jimin has to disappear and go to "work". Jimin, our Moon, has to come back to the night and darkness.

Ok, now, with that thing I said previously about the cat, you have a proper idea about who is the cat/Moon, and also who is the Sun.

This is the moment when the eclipse happens. As we can see, the whole world is shaking because it isn’t something that should happen. It's a phenomenon. The world, which normally, was the Sun taking care of the day and the Moon taking care of the night, is now an encounter where they are both together.

The light that suddenly lights Jimin's room, which was dark few moments later, is the Sun coming back to their love.

The eclipse is finally happening.

“I decided to live as me by kim soo hyun”

I did a little digging about the book that JK had beside him while packing in the recent Bon Voyage episode and I found some interesting information regarding the author of the book and the subjects she is known for. Kim Soo Hyun is a South Korean author and screenwriter who specializes in stories about how “traditional values conflict with the new.” She is known for talking about “controversial” issues in SK. One of her main works is a drama called “Life is Beautiful” about a same sex relationship between two young men. Kim has been heavily criticized for her work especially her openness in dealing with the subject of same-sex relationships. She has stated that “she wanted to eradicate prejudice toward gay couples and make homosexuality no longer a taboo subject.” It may be pure coincidence, but I think that it’s important to note that JK was reading a book (and had it next to him so that the camera would capture it) by an author who is well known for openly discussing and normalizing same sex relationships.
