Remember when Dick told the Titans that it bothered him how they didn't always talk to each other about everyday things, and how he was tired of crime being their main talking point, especially when so many of the conversations he'd had all his life revolved around crime?

I find his desire to talk about the mundane particularly endearing because Dick doesn't want to be as private about himself as Bruce is. He wants to open up to his friends. He doesn't want to have to rely only on himself like Bruce taught him to. He wants to connect. He wants to relax. He wants to forget about the pressure he's under, the responsibilities he has, and the worries that consume him.

He just wants to shoot the shit for Pete's sake, and he wants there to be opportunities outside of crime-fighting to do that. He wants to get more personal with the Titans in particular because, as he said, "I feel better with you people than with anyone else."
