Don’t rlly think that clip is indicative of anything lol but i do agree that they ship themselves, my opinion is just that contrary to the common view in shipping culture, real life relationships aren’t always so black and white that I’d feel comfortable labelling jikooks current relationship with 100% certainty

I feel like two major schools of thought have always existed among Jikook lovers but even more so after the show.

On one hand we have those for whom this show has cemented their belief in Jikook being romantically involved. They see how Jimin and Jungkook interact with each other, talk to each other, and act around each other and conclude, "There is nothing platonic about this."

On the other hand, for some watching ARE YOU SURE has simply confirmed a long-held belief: Jimin and Jungkook have a beautiful bond and are crazy about each other. They are really really close friends with a strangely intriguing idea of what boundaries are. They might have crossed the boundary line a time or two over the years but never really ventured into the deep end.

Both are not wrong. Both are not right. Both can co-exist. The requirement for a single, coordinated point of view is cultist and unrealistically unreasonable.

Based on some blogs and asks I have seen, it seems some people expect all Jikook lovers to gush about how in love Jikook are. It is why when this belief is challenged, some people lash out, try to make excuses, nit pick everything or analyse things to ensure that the evidence supports their belief. (Insert "you didn't call" car conversation and how people were scrambling, or how mad people got that JK wasn't treating Jimin "right')

Some people look for certainty in Jikook. However, there is no guarantee. Some people are terrified—how can you live without knowing for sure? It is not unusual at all. Actually, you only think you know. And the majority of your beliefs are based on imperfect knowledge, but you really have no idea what is actually going on. No matter how certain you are, there is never 100% certainty that you are correct.

Leave room for doubt. For your beliefs to be challenged. Nothing is certain or set in stone.

Where do I stand on this? What label do I assign? I really don't care. I have never really cared. What it is or isn't is none of business. I am simply intrigued by the bond that these two humans have in whatever capacity it presents itself. I will gush about how beautifully these two love, how selflessly these two give, and how fiercely these two protect until the end of time. And I may honestly never know and am ok with that.

Jm’s 2021 Birthday Live

I’ve recently seen a couple of posts on jm’s birthday live from 2021 pop up on my tl. This live has also seemingly sparked some general discussion on 2021 jkk.

So, I decided to share my own experience🫶🏽

I remember watching this live in real-time. It started off with typical Jimin antics (which was literally just him exisiting and being the most adorable being on earth). It was his first solo live in a while so, understandably, he was feeling a little bit awkward. Nevertheless, he talked with us, answering some comments, reading birthday wishes and sharing some recent updates. It went on like this for a couple of minutes until he apparently couldn’t take the silence anymore😭

About 10 minutes in, he suddenly goes:

“I’m gonna call someone to guest on this live with me, kay?”

AND THEN, I find myself watching, absolutely stunned, as the man ducks out of frame and crawls (??) under the table to make his call.

At this point, we were just watching the abandoned wheely chair while jm is talking in the softest, most baby tone to whoever is on the other end of the line. I really wanna emphasise his tone cause I’d never heard him talk like that before. Anyways, he continues asking that person to join him on the live and I remember thinking ‘hah it’s probably jk’🤪 (cause literally who else does he speak to like that?)

Jm finally emerges from the depths of the table, asking the other person if he can put him on speaker. Of course, turns out it was jk.

So, jk abandons his work out session with the bros to come keep jm company on his live (someone did the maths💀 and apparently he travelled 15 storeys or something from the hybe gym to get to jm in under 2 minutes). Bro dropped everything as soon as that phone call ended.

(Honestly, I would too if jm was asking so sweetly.)

Jk shows up and obviously, those two have me cheesing the whole time. Jm slaps a tiddie, soju is brought onto the premises and even hobi comes by.

Now, Hobi’s little visit was interesting. Interesting cause he asks jm “why are you in jk’s studio?😋🤨”.

Now, I didn’t really pay any heed to that. It could’ve just been a genuine question BUT, jm has this reaction that had me raising a brow. He ducks his head and smiles shyly?? Here I was thinking that little offhand comment wasn’t too deep but, apparently it was. He even chokes on his water a little when hobi keeps teasing. Considering jk’s head is out of frame, we don’t know what his reaction was (let’s assume he was smiling. he’s a smiley guy after all:)).

Anyway, they continue until jk has to leave. Cue jm begging him not to and jk replying back with the most indulgent tone abjabsjsjjs. It was so cute.

Anyway, it is as the allegations state, they were insufferable in 2021. The tannies were having the ptd concerts and, afterwards, those two would always be hanging out together in their hotel rooms (jms words not mine). They were really stuck at the hip and yes, jm went through this seemingly random phase of being uber-shy and bashful around jk.

It was a fun year for us jokers!

I don’t think many of us understand the implications of Jungkook putting his arm around Jimin massaging his nape, looking him in the face while saying “We went on our first trip to Tokyo…..that’s why I wanted to come back” in the softest most romantic tone ever.

No I don’t think we get it because Jungkook just very casually admitted that that trip to Tokyo with Jimin was extremely special to him that while thinking about where to go again, he wanted to return to the same place he went with Jimin years ago, to relive the moment. I didn’t even really get it at the moment because alot happened in episode 6 but I decided to rewatch the episode today and that’s when it hit me and I don’t know why people aren’t screaming about this more.

It wasn’t just what he said but how he said it and what he did while saying it. Imagine Jungkook’s “boyfriend” or “girlfriend” watching Jungkook touch Jimin’s nape while looking at him and telling him in the softest tone ever that he wanted to come back to this place just because it was where they went to for their first trip. That would have been my cue to quietly pack my bags and leave especially because Jungkook’s literally had just two weeks before he enlisted yet he choose to spend his last free days traveling with another man to make memories that he will think about while enlisted 🙆🏽‍♀️ ABOMINATION!
