i make a conscious choice to not shave my legs because i don’t want to look like a child. ive already spent so much time growing up and having my body moulded into that of an adult woman only for what, to pretend it never happened? to pretend that i haven’t lived through a lot and overcame so much just to be here?
isn't it crazy that a woman being gender nonconforming literally just requires her to exist in her own body without making any changes whatsoever. why does the fact that i don't wear makeup and i don't shave and i don't wear a bra have to be some political act. why can't i just fucking exist

Honestly, y'all, I'm begging you. Take the time to think and learn for yourself. Even if it's just something casual like knitting or cooking. Exercise your brain. It's important.

"save me, substance abuse!" i cry. before you can moralize to me about the dangers of addiction, a noble and powerful steed gallops into the room - my horse whom i have named "substance abuse". you learn an important lesson about making assumptions. i snort a line off its back

AI art generation is for people who so desperately want to be creative but are scared of being bad at it. And yet, these “AI artists” miss on the most fun part of the creation itself.
As a beginner artist, many of my art pieces (especially for the first year) were garbage. But I still kept drawing, even though I was regularly churning out garbage. Why? Because I loved doing it.
Because I love the feeling of the pen on paper.
Because I love watching the painting come alive as I continue to glaze the layers with watercolour.
Because I love the fun texture brushes and layers in digital art.
AI art users miss out the whole point of art —- because its not about the final product but about the process. And THAT is why they will never be real artists.

Unpopular opinion, but I actually like Maddie.
I think she is an incredibly interesting study into how people can support monsterous authoritarian ideologies like fascism, and how good intent for lawful change within the system can lead to corruption. I mean… I get why people hate her, don’t get me wrong, and I wouldn’t want to be her friend either, but sometimes I find that hate for a character can override the merit they bring into the show and story-telling.

When we look at her introduction, she is surrounded by bright, golden/white light. It is crowning her silhouette; white is often associated with innocence, but considering how bright it is, it implies a ‘guardian saviour’ sort of image. She calls herself ‘one of the good ones’ meaning, she isn’t like Marcus, she doesn’t go against the rules established by the police/enforcer institution for her own gain, aiding Silco in his own pursuit (harming Zaun citizens) —> thus, in her words, she implies that she doesn’t hurt undercity citizens like Vi.
And yet…

She is one of the first Piltover officers to join the chest-banging war chant started by Embessa. I still think she has good intentions. She is following her philosophy of those who go against the institution(s) must be eliminated or dealt with. Albeit extreme, we can assume that she thinks that this is a necessary step. I think this is seen in this screenshot, her face is determined, with her furrowed brows and fixed gaze upon Caitlyn.
Although… there is a slight smirk on her lips. it’s very subtle, but it is our first hint of sadism…

Notice how later in Act 3 she tries to shoot Caitlyn. Her impact frame shows a smirk. I’ve had someone try to argue that it’s her jaw, but you can literally see the black teeth gaps in between. Her shooting Caitlyn is the final step of the evolution of her sadism: the smirk from before is now a wide grin. She still thinks she is doing what is right — she is one of the good ones because she is still following the institution (i.e, Ambessa’s orders), but now there is sadism in the enforcement. You can already see the real life parallels.
One of the most interesting aspects of this scene, however, is that she is literally killed by her own bullet. Her own uncritical loyalty to the institution is what caused her death. She supported the war and her and Caitlyn’s task force gassing Zaun citizens. She supported those things, knowing that there will be sacrifices — and yet, she became one of them. Think about minorities that support the right-wing ideology, and how if they do come to be implemented, right wing women will no longer be able to leave their abusive husbands because he controls all of her’s and the family’s finances; how immigrants that support anti-immigration policies and candidates will be deported.
Simply put, the face-eating leopards ate her face, and everyone else’s who supported the face-eating leopard party. This was, and will be true for both fictional and real life.
