Dick Grayson is a living legend.

This guy is literally being run ragged but he still makes time to do everything.

Barely even getting time to change in between jobs.

He's on a call managing several duties and worries at once.

He's so intense that

He literally makes himself sick from overwork.

And literally not even a week later he's dealing with Deathstroke collapsing at the Titans Tower

Like this man can multitask like a god but also he really just needs a break, not that he's ever going to take one because everyone needs him for something all the time.

Whether it's heroes dropping by Bludhaven to ask for help on a case, the titans calling him for solutions, the government's military division calling him to help them, Batman requesting his presence, the batfamily dropping into his apartment for help, advice, and comfort, Batman also needing him to act as his emotional support, people wanting to date him, his friends needing his comfort and to solve their own problems, other teams needing his interference to deescalate a situation, teaching other heroes-it's insane how much the dc hero community revolves around him. He literally keeps the ball rolling and the community functioning.

I stan this man so hard. He's just a nonstop machine and the epicenter of the heroes. Every movement he makes ripples outward and affects everyone.

Summary:

“Dick you fucking idiot,” Rachel cries into his chest. He holds her closer in his right arm as he feels her small body shudder against his.

“Kory,” he whispers and she gazes into his dark wild eyes. Her own eyes sweep across his wild helmut hair, eyes dilated with adrenaline and doing his own appraisal of her state.

“You made it.” She breathes and he pulls her by the waist into his embrace, crashing their lips together quickly before he winces slightly after she pulls back. He doesn’t want to let her go. She doesn’t want that either.

“You’re bleeding?” Rachel noting the blood sticking to his left shoulder as it grows damper, and successfully ignoring his charged reunion with the supermodel, who, last time Rachel checked, had a boyfriend. The closer he holds Kory to him, the blood transfers to her hoodie.

She closed her eyes tightly. She didn’t think she would be affected like this but everything that went down with Sebastian made her skin crawl like never before. From the Church of Blood drugging and brainwashing, Project Starfire, Star Labs, it was all too fucking much. “It’s just me.” He whispered softly and wrapped his arm around her.

“That’s the problem.” She muttered under her breath.

“What do you mean Kory?” He turned her chin slightly so she was looking into his eyes. They were wide and hurt was decorating his deep stare.

“I don’t know if you’re ready to have this conversation.” She stood up straight and crossed her arms in front of her body, effectively shutting him out in case he decided to disappoint her again.

“What conversation?” He steps back and mirrors her pose crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes.

That’s how it always is with him. She wants to have an honest conversation and his wall of invulnerability starts forming in front of her, brick by brick.

“About us. About what happened in Metropolis?” She raises her chin at him.
