So, I have fixated on the idea of a deaf tiny and a hearing giant.

Can you imagine?

Being so small the world doesn’t just sound different, it doesn’t make a sound at all. You don’t hear a door slam. You feel it. Through the floor. Through your ribs. A boom rolling up your spine like thunder with nowhere to run. You live by those vibrations to avoid being stepped on, you live by those vibrations to know what’s coming next. You have to learn all the pulses. The tremble of movement under your feet like reading waves in still water.

Now imagine your giant. 20-30 feet of heat and mass and motion. A voice you can’t hear but always feel through the floorboards, through your bones, when they laugh, when they sigh, when they hum under their breath and don’t even know they’re doing it. Everything they do moves the world you stand on.

Their lips are the size of a billboard. You have to watch them speak, tilt your head back, squint, follow the slow shape of every syllable like reading clouds. You get good at it. You learn the way their mouth forms “sorry,” or “come here,” or “are you okay?” and it makes your stomach twist in a good way, like vertigo from affection.

Sometimes they try to whisper, forgetting you can’t hear at all. But you feel the whisper, like breath moving the tiny hairs on your arm. That counts for something.

They learn to sign for you.

Not well, not at first. Their fingers are too big, clumsy, slow. They mess up “friend” and “forget” and once accidentally signed “death” instead of “sleep.” You nearly choked laughing.

But they care. They try. And when they want to understand you, really understand, they lean down. All the way down. Their head on the desk, chin resting on their palm. Eye level, leaning closer to make sure they don’t miss anything. Holding their breath so nothing shakes the surface. Watching your hands move like birds. So close their eyes blur and refocus and follow each twitch of your wrist. Not wanting to mess up.

You have to remind them to come close so they can see, you know you’re too small. They get embarrassed when they aren’t paying attention and miss when you sign, generally and whole heartedly trying better to always watch to be sure they don’t miss a thing.

Sometimes, they haven’t learnt certain signs. You have to mime out scenarios so that your giant understands. You once had to flop around on the desk then sign NO to express you didn’t want the fish.

It’s a challenge but always a wholesome experience when the giant gets it right. Smiling sweetly, proud of themselves.

I loved th angst of the gang finding out about Varian past crimes and all. But I can't help but laugh at the concept of Hugo sweating bullets knowing dang well he's going to betray Varian in the end and thinking "Donella wants me to betray HIM OF ALL PEOPLE?????"

It was in the moment that Hugo realizes he f-ed up

Honestly Varian not believing in magic at the beginning of the series makes a lot of sense when you remember that he was inaccuratly labeled as a wizard!

He probably just assumed that magic was just science people didn't understand since nobody else seemed to understand his science either

We also care for my elderly father. He suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes. Recently, he sustained a serious injury to his left eye, and he needs an urgent, complex surgery — but we have no access to the care he needs😭💔

I feel powerless as a mother. There is no greater pain than watching your children’s dreams fade, and their lives hang in the balance.💔🇵🇸

I know you will never let me down 🙏🥹

We didn’t choose this life. We are not just numbers on the news. We are people — families — who once had normal lives, just like yours💔😭

All I ask for is safety for my children. A chance for them to live, to hope, and to heal

Sizeshifters. Just in general. I feel like there’s not enough of them out there, and when they’re implemented, it’s usually just the basic formula. Why not play around with it a bit?

What about a sizeshifter that has trauma related to their powers? Not that shifting itself is what puts them off, but due to some sort of situation, their powers almost got themself or someone else hurt, and they don’t want that scenario repeating again.

What about sizeshifting that hurts? Like bones snapping and reforming as a person grows, or their body feeling like it’s melting when they shrink? How about tying this into emotion/stress-related shifting?

What about monstrous shifting? Not just growing bigger or shrinking smaller, but adopting certain characteristics, like fangs, or claws, or other animalistic traits?

What about shifter fighting? (Because LORD, there’s not enough action at times. Sure, fluff and tame stuff is nice, but also, KAIJU BATTLE!) But also, seeing this in regular G/T stuff would be cool too.

And lastly, what about forced size changes? Be it a shrink/growth ray, some sort of potion, etc., I think it’s a neat idea to play with.

Hey all! So, if you've been following me for any amount of time, you probably are already familiar with recent life events, and how badly American Airlines (fuck you) has screwed me over in making me have to leave my sweet little tabby cat, Bumper, home with my family in the states.

@territorial-utopia and I have been looking into pet travel services, because once I apply for a residency visa, I can't travel, and I can't really depend on my family to lend a hand in helping bring my cat here...

Something I noticed that I haven't seen anyone talk about is how in the episode What The Hair?! when Quirin ask Varian what happend you can hear hyperventilation breathing and i'm postive that it's Varian!

We see Varian hyperventilate earlier in the episode as well before this scene when he was freaking out about he has 3 more pumps to shut off so we know it's something he does.

this poor kid was hyperventilating before he told his dad that the explosions where is fault.

I like the idea of 'weak' giants

Like sick giants, giant kids, sad giants, etc

Idk why but the idea of characters that are supposed to be strong being vulnerable idk I just like it

Same with characters with superpowers or magic

Give me a character with godlike abilities being hugged and comforted and i'm good

I see posts of sizeshifters shrinking when their tired but what about the reverse

A sizeshifter who's "normal" height is giant and everytime they get tired or sick or pass out they grow back

Like your friend gets tired, they fall asleep and suddendly BOOM!?
