When I look at how creative and smart Izuku is when using multiple quirks I always think about how much of a fraud all for one was 💀 he kept calling himself the all powerful demon lord but dude kept doing almost random quirk combinations like he lived for more than a hundred years and this is all he can do??? I believe he's actually stupid he just had a lot of time to think about plans lmaooo

Look idk if i'm out of line saying that but, did Hori legit think him barring any mutually romantic moments between Iz/och, not making them talk properly, and only having Izuku "realize" he wants to be with her at the LAST chapter would be like this big conclusion where they "finally talk" and then get together??? Like am i supposed to think that for 8 years nothing happened then conveniently Ochako dreams of Toga to push her towards him???

Like i get that maybe he wanted to avoid being cliche by not damseling Ochako for Izuku, but at least we would know right off the bat what all this was abt.

If you wanted her to be especial, then make her especial right away. Give her that importance. Don't just give her severe trauma abt someone else just so you can conveniently make the protagonist notice her.

I agree that pushing iz/och together after 8 years for no reason really comes out of nowhere... there was no trigger to it and no point either. It brings nothing to the story, nothing to their character development either. It just falls flat. The 3 main plotlines havent been talked about either. No focus on the todoroki family, katsuki achieved none of his dreams, no conclusion on One For All, All Might (he disappeared?). The epilogue being centered around ochako doesn't make sense at all. A part of it? I would've enjoyed it. But almost the whole epilogue? No. I feel like Horikoshi just wanted to make his fav ship canon or answer to some kind of expectations idk...

i love Mha and Horikoshi is the author that made me start being an artist so I admire him but right now I'm just disappointed. How can an author who understands psychology so well make such a garbage ending..

Toga isn't a vestige or somekind. Ochako can't actually talk to her anymore. The Toga she's seeing is entirely made up in her mind from trauma. Ochako is subconsciously dreaming about the girl she couldn't save. She has regrets and guilt. She feels like she could've done more, she could've saved Toga. It's haunting her still 8 years later.

A good ending on the Toga/Ochako plotline would've been focused on Ochako and the actions she does as a pro hero so no other child gets rejected by society the way Toga was. Just Ochako accepting that she can't save everyone and not feeling guilty about cases like Toga anymore is moving on. Moving on is feeling sad about the past but not guilty anymore. Because you can't prevent every tragedy in the world. Heroes are humans too. That's one big point of Mha.

In theory, that's what happens. At the end, Toga pushes Ochako. That's a way of saying that Ochako wont dream about her anymore and finally feels free from her guilt. Good.

But not because she realizes that she can't save everyone and heroes are humans too, just because... she wants to live her own life happily by dating the guy she loves...?

This is not moving on and healing from trauma.

This is being crushed and devored by the guilt so much to the point your own brain goes into a defense mechanism and just searches for any excuse to let go of the guilt. "Toga lived happily, I have to live happily too in her memory..!" and hop hop no more dreaming about Toga no more guilt and a hollow crush on a guy.

This is complete and utter denial of trauma.
