We moved up to the Hudson Valley two years ago and one of the first biggest shocks for us was that black bears were local to the area. Mind you, we didn’t find this out until one of our video cameras caught one at night! Up until today, we haven’t seen any with our own eyes… until today.

We were eating lunch and I saw a black spot moving in the backyard out of the corner of my eye and sure enough, this big boy (or girl?) was walking up through the yard! Thankfully it stopped long enough for me to run and get my camera!

Patreon?

Thinking of setting up a Patreon for my wallpapers (and other digital works). I'll still keep the core set free but thought about alterative calendar lockups, more resolutions, unique colorways. Debating if I'd do a membership or shop approach. The idea of a membership sounds intriguing - just offer up a package each month, could offer them up for more on a store later (give members unique access). Or just go straight up with a shop. Curious your thoughts!

Made it out to the local grasslands in hopes of seeing the Short Eared Owls that frequent there. Pulling into the parking lot I saw A LOT of cars and tripods setup which was a good sign. This was the first of 300+ photos I took (still have to comb through them), but was really happy to add this to my life list.
