The majority of states that regulate massage require that the Massage Therapist should curtain the client at all times, only un-draping the present location being dealt with. Massage Therapists holding liability insurance are held to a set of conduct and ethics that should be followed at all times. Not following these guidelines or those set by the state can result in disciplinary action being taken against the massage therapist. Massage therapy can be utilized for either relaxation or to ease tension or lessen the effects of illness or injury on the body. Massage therapy in considered a WEBCAM - Complimentary and Alternative Medicine and most massage therapists work in combination with other doctor. Massage therapists might work with Chiropractics physician, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, nurses and physicians of all specialized.
Massage therapists can not practice medicine, Physical Therapy or Chiropractic work unless they currently accredited in any of those locations. Massage Therapists do not identify, can just treat, and can not cure disease. Massage is not sexual in nature and the genital areas and anal area should be curtained at all times. If the massage therapist believes the client is beyond their scope of practice (understanding), then s/he must refer that customer to somebody else who is more qualified.
