I am trying to start a career in music photography and deathly need pointers, please.

Hi there,

Start out by photoing some local bands to get some good practice and build your portfolio. The more you shoot, the better. Once you’re comfortable with  your shots, you can start working on shooting bigger bands. It’s good to get in with an online publication because they can help get you access to shooting bigger shows.

Before Kitten’s show at Rock & Roll Hotel Friday night, I got to take some backstage shots of Chloe getting ready. She’s a total sweetheart and it was nice to photo her in a calm state getting ready for a wild show. I love her energy on stage along with that voice! Hoping to work more with @kittentheband more in the future. I’ll post pics from the show later today :)
