ooc; departure
Junior year of college is kicking my butt. I’ve just been so overwhelmed and don’t have time for much of anything outside of school so I’m going to be pulling Jiho from Keisung, at least for now.
Keisung is definitely the best RP I’ve even been a part of, and 90% of that is thanks to the great culture, community, and admins that I met here. It sucks to have to leave right when everything’s been rebooted, but I’d rather not half-ass my interactions and leave people hanging.
Hopefully I can come back someday soon and write with you guys again! It’s been real, y’all.

after this whole mess had started, jiho hadn’t had much to do and was perpetually bored without a place to meet or work. things just kept getting worse, and the hipster just kept losing more and more hope that these were all just isolated incidents that would stop soon. somin had even had a talk with him recently about how they should spend some time apart as things fell apart around them and suspicions between cliques rose, but even then, he had been stubborn and refused to back off just because someone decided to mess with keisung. despite him saying that he would always be there for his closest friend, things had unavoidably become awkward since then, so he had become bored and lonely without her. laying on his back on his bed, deciding whether or not to look for part-time work off-campus, he was shocked into action when he heard the sound of multiple police sirens approaching. there was no way the sound could have reached him all the way in the dorms had then not been right on campus, so he jumped out of bed and pressed his face to his window, looking around until he saw the flashing lights surround the bleachers and whispered a strangled “oh shit,” under his breath.
his eyes glued to the glass, he watched as a handful of students were dragged away into police cars before they could even run. he searched the area for her telltale orange hair until he found her in the center of it all, being put into a squad car. panic rose in his throat immediately, and without thinking, he put on his shoes and grabbed his essentials, ready to bolt at any moment. jiho had been trying to run into the staircase at the end of his hallway before being stopped by two police officers, others preoccupied with other students who had tried to rush downstairs to gawk at the scene. they were combing the building top down, looking for anyone who might by under the influence as well. as he waited for them to finish the inspection of his floor, he tried calling somin’s cell to avail, so he knotted his fingers together in worry until he got a call from an unknown number. picking up, he almost shouted to the person on the other end of the line. “i saw everything,” he murmured blankly, still shocked. “i’ll be right there, babe, just hold on,” the barista said before hanging up his phone, trying to keep his voice low and say as little as possible, not wanting anyone to hear him.
the search was coming to a close on his floor, which was only one above somin’s, so he had to move fast before they closed her dorm off. after telling the officers that he had already been checked and needed to use the bathroom urgently, they let him into the stairwell, where he sprinted down and into somin’s dorm, using the illegally made copy of her key that he kept with his other keys. his palms sweating, he climbed up onto her bed and pried off the vent gently, grabbing the cash and storing the rest as far back into the vent as possible before replacing the vent cover as neatly as possibly under the time constraint. he didn’t need the cops finding anything else she could be hiding. sprinting down and out of the building, he ran so far into the street that he almost got hit by the cab that picked him up. the ride was short but felt like ages, and he threw a 20,000 won note into the front seat before jumping out, not waiting for change before sprinting into the station. “i’m here to bail out han somin,” he half-shouted at the person at the front, not his usual composed self. “they arrested her from keisung university.”
lost cause | hsm&ojh
@ksjiho
this wasn’t somin’s first time at a police station. not even close. it was her first time in one for the charge of drug possession and dealing, though. everything at keisung had happened so quickly. she was under the bleachers one seconds and pulled into the back of a police car in the next. she spotted a few people getting questioned as she was dragged across campus to where the cars were parked. she even saw a few other students being ducked into cars, some familiar faces and a few not so much. by the time she was questioned, her high had completely worn off, even if the whole debacle had sobered her up some. she was allotted a phone call after being told her bail was temporarily set at 10,000 dollars. she just needed 10% of that to be let out. she called the first person she though of, and it was no surprise to her that she still knew his number by heart. it rang a few times before the other picked up. “jiho, it’s somin. so, uh, i got arrested. i know we’re not talking, but i need you to do me a favor. i have money stashed in the vent next to my bed. grab a thousand out of there and come bail me out please."

ksnoelle:
Noelle didn’t like to ask for help because she could find a way to do almost everything by herself and she had learned a long time ago to rely on herself.  It was easier that way and she also didn’t have to owe anyone anything which was always a plus.  Of course for this problem, she was too tired and in a hurry to figure out how to do it alone so she was forced to ask for help to the nearest student.  At the sight of the smile, she offered the younger a small smile but the moment the guy grabbed both boxes, the school nurse’s smile vanished as she looked at him with furrowed eyebrows.  Not only that but his words and the wink had her blinking because if there was anything she expected was nothing like that.
She opened her mouth to protest but decided to just lead the way as he said because that was easier than speaking right now.  Assuming that they would not speak, she jumped a little when the student spoke and then glancing back, she nodded as he introduced himself but at his cheesy words, she found herself laughing quietly.  “You are cute, thank you for helping me.” Halting, she reached for up and patted his head with a smile that she only gave to kids.  “As a reward, I’ll give you some candy and you can rest in the infirmary if you need to.” It was as she finished speaking that she turned around and continued on her way into the building where the infirmary was.  “I’m nurse Zhou but you can call me Noelle as long as you don’t flirt with me.”
“Jesus, woman, I’m twenty-two years old,” he said, gaping at her in disbelief. Rarely did women ever react like that to him, so he was surprised. “Candy?” Jiho laughed, shaking his head at her, impressed. He liked her guts and thought she was a pretty cool woman, so he gave her a more genuine, less flirtatious smile, feeling that he could enjoy her company in the year to come. “Did you just mom-zone me?” he asked jovially. “I’m fine with that if you are.”
Following her into the building and navigating the halls behind her, he sidled up to her again, this time more curious. “So where are you from? Rarely anyone who graduated from here would actually consider coming back, but...” he trailed off, scanning her face. “That name and that accent tell me that you’re not Korean. Noelle,” he said, his English heavily accented, “Zhou,” his Chinese equally as bad. “Canadian, perhaps?”

event!
Tumblr media
hello!
i owe so many of you replies and starters, especially on jaekyung, but the reason those aren’t coming out is because i plan on switching her out for krystal. she just wasn’t developed enough and doesn’t have a solid personality :c
as for the event, jiho is just???theheck????? he suspects that rather than the cliques actually having a war, there’s a lone wolf trying to stir shit up for whatever reason, and he isn’t angry with any of the cliques (yet), nor does he have a suspect in mind.
he’s like a dog that barks but doesn’t bite. he of course isn’t letting his guard down completely, but he’s not going to put blame where it isn’t due. for now i plan for him to mostly be concerned with the cafe restoration, his clique staying out of trouble, and his friends that have gotten arrested, rather than fighting.
i’m finishing up my last day of work tomorrow before i move back into the uni dorms on wednesday, so replies should be coming out faster! therefore, if you want any plots with jiho or you want to get a connection with my new character before she makes her way out, please send a message my way! (or if i’ve been classic dingus and forgotten about something we were plotting/a reply i haven’t done, feel free to remind me through messenge!)

“pipe the fuck down, asshole.”
“yeah whatever,shorty,” jiho said, brushing her reprimand off, his hand doing a sass-filledsnap in the air. “no one who hears me is gonna care.” the two of them actuallygot along quite well when they weren’t bickering, as the two soon-to-be seniorsjust trying to rein in their cliques could relate to each other… sometimes. heknew soojung could actually be quite sweet under all the crap she gave him, sohe wasn’t really afraid of her, but the hipster did know she could pack aserious punch so he tried to make sure he was at least 3 feet away from herlittle arms before rolling his eyes in the vicinity. this also probably wasn’t the best time to be messing with her.
the two of themhad somehow drifted off campus together after the whole mess with the policehad finally started to slow, deciding to get some food from street vendors inthe boulevard nearby. jiho had been starving,as the police had had a lot of questions of him, since people pointed him outas the ex-boyfriend of somin, the stoner leader. as they sat at a plastic tablenear the food stand, he continued on with his noisy explanation, paying littleattention to the fact that he was disturbing the other people trying to enjoytheir evenings.
“listen, I’mjust theorizing here, and I think we can rule out your leader as a snitch,”jiho nodded, talking animatedly with his hands and drawing abstract shapes inthe air. “let’s be logical, hm?” the male gave her his usual cheesy half-smile,his brows furrowed together, trying to remember the facts. “our café wastrashed, but why would the rebels mess with the place just for the sake of it? yongjoondoesn’t seem like the type to fuck with people just for the heck of it. Ican’t say anything for the art room or what happened to the stoners, but if mysuspicions are true, this is all one person’s doing, or maybe one group, but it’snot a war like they want us to think. seeing how whoever’s messing with us seemsto be moving up the school food chain, it just doesn’t add up. why would therebels fight down? you guys don’thave anything to prove,” he concluded, taking a bite out of his spicy ricecakes while quirking a brow at her, curious to know her thoughts.

ksxsomin:
even though jiho was late, she was genuinely happy to see him. and, his perfectly made hot chocolate.
“excuses, excuses,” she grumbled, but found comfort in the familiar gesture of his lips pressing to her forehead. she pinched his side in retaliation anyways to keep up her facade of annoyance. “you didn’t mention it, but you are absolutely not wrong. you don’t look too shabby yourself, jiho-ah,” she said, maneuvering their arms so they were linked together while they walked towards the edge of campus. being with jiho was comfortable and, more often than not, that was exactly what she needed. she had quite a few people within the past few years ask her if they were ever going to get back together, but truthfully they were much better as friends. she feels uncomfortable even thinking of him as someone she could date, he’s like a brother to her. they were family, at this point.
he knew things about her that most people didn’t. he knew that her body ran cold constantly and only brought her hot drinks from the cafe, even on the hottest days. he knew she truly hated cats and was afraid of squirrels. he knew her favorite color was pink and that she hadn’t talked to her father in over four years. he knew that she overdosed before arriving at keisung and it was getting harder for her to resist even after being clean for years. he was the most supportive person around her and she would never be able to repay him for that.
“what do you feel like doing? i’m seriously hungry so if we can get food at some point that would be great,” she said as she waved a hand to flag down a taxi.
While Jiho acted incredibly cheesy and extra to his fellow students to keep up their impression of him, in reality he was still the boy his parents raised, holding open doors for the elderly and helping girls down staircases. He walked along Somin’s side, used to the weight of her arm as it was linked through his, when they finally caught a cab and slid in, one after another. “Dongdaemun, please,” he told the driver, opening the window of the car halfway. “We can grab something to eat, see the new shop displays on the street, maybe buy matching pink hats,” he joked. The lights of the city glittered brighter as the evening sky over Seoul got darker, and it was nice to see so many people out on the streets during the summer. The traffic hadn’t been terrible that evening as the taxi ambled down the streets and brought them closer to their destination, a pleasant warm breeze floating across them.
After a few minutes of comfortable silence, he then turned to face the older girl. “Tell me, how have your kids been?” He, of course, had not been referring to biological children, but to the other stoners in her clique. Jiho knew the stoners lived up to their name and often dabbled into drugs that were illegal in Korea, but Somin had been struggling against falling into that path since before they had met, and it must have been a struggle to keep the clique in check and garner their respect while still trying to stay away from it all. While they had gone out to drink together on numerous occasions, Jiho often tried to choose places that were a little more relaxed and proper so they wouldn’t lose control in public, not wanting to see her fall back onto alcohol as a replacement substance, but also not wanting himself to go back to the times when he worked as a host and could sometimes get lost in a dozen drinks in a long work shift.
She, of course, knew about the habits he had developed early in his college years, and how he had sold himself to pay for his mother’s hospital bills during their sophomore year after they had broken up. They weren’t proud moments of his, and he really treasured the friends he had now, so he had put in a lot of effort towards his grades and toning down his behavior in the past year, just as she had during her time at Keisung. They understood each other well, and didn’t skirt around hard topics, so he added, casually: “Is it getting worse? Holding out, I mean.”

“are you finishing that or…?”
“sHHHHHH,”Jiho shout-whispered as he shoved the remainder of his corn dog into theyounger man’s mouth, the stick poking out of Jihoon’s lips as the hipsterleader craned his neck to get a better view of the two students that werewalking by the vandalized café. The two of them were hiding behind a shortconcrete wall, crouched and watching what used to be their clique’s hangout,but there was really nothing to watch. Jiho was just a soon-to-be senior with nothing todo, and he had been sneaking around behind the hip-height wall near the cafe,seeing if anyone suspicious would pass by, but nothing had happened in theapproximately 20 minutes he had been there. He had brought a corn dog with himwhen he started this “stakeout” as it was getting close to sunset and he wasgetting hungry, but since Jihoon had joined him about two minutes ago, the youngerhad been eyeing his snack. In reality, Jihoon was being quieter than Jiho, butin what he thought was the style of a Masterpiece Theatre detective, Jiho hadto maintain the image of the vigilant constable, which included gently scoldinghis junior for no reason.
Peekingover the side of the wall, Jiho noticed that the two students had passed by,engaged in quiet and un-suspicious conversation. His stomach gave a littlerumble, and deciding that campus security would take over from there, he stoodto his full height and stretched with a loud old man groan before noticing acouple watching him and Jihoon with a confused interest. The two hipsters may havebeen hidden from the side of the café, but were easy to spot from behind.Reddening slightly, Jiho motioned for the younger to come with him, making totrot away quickly towards the edge of the school. “Let’s grab something to eatand discuss any new information on what’s been going on.”

With his usual haunt out of commission, Jiho was restless. He didn’t have a place to hold club meetings, didn’t have work, and didn’t seem to be able to shut out the whispers that followed him when he walked around on campus. He hated to admit it, but he likes to keep an eye on the school gossip blog and knew, as a result, that campus opinion seemed to lean towards the idea that he and his clique deserved the destruction of their headquarters. While Jiho knew his clique has some good and bad eggs mixed in together, he himself didn’t have many enemies at this school, if at all. He was both surprised and confused when he had seen the state of the café, as it felt like such a personal attack at a time when clique conflicts seemed to be at an all time low. Not out of anger but rather curiosity, when he had heard that the art room was vandalized, he knew fingers would begin to point at him, but he just had to take a look for himself at the second territory to be trashed on campus.
Trying not to look sneaky about his surveillance of the art room, Jiho casually walked into the arts building (one that he didn’t often set foot in, as he was a business major), and found the art room easily thanks to the roping off of the area. ‘Perhaps there’s something, some kind of clue, some kind of similarity here…’ He paced, looking for something that might connect the trashing of the café to the art room, but there wasn’t much he could gather from the situation as the studio had been firmly locked. Just as he had prepared to give up his little tour, he heard a voice directed to him and his back stiffened out of instinct. He turned, surprised; Jiho hadn’t even heard Jaesuk approach. When they met eyes, he tried to look into the other leader’s eyes, wanting to convey his openness and transparency to the older man. “No, I just needed to see…” he trailed off, a tone of pity and apology in his tone. Jiho knew how Jaesuk must have felt, and shook his head regretfully. “I know how this must look, but I don’t think this problem is between the two of us,” the hipster said, sounding more sure of himself. “Someone’s trying to stir shit up at Keisung, and it stinks.”
why are you here?
@ksjiho
since the art room has been thoroughly trashed, it’s closed until further notice. it’s locked and no one can get in, including the artist clique. jaesuk was able to grab a few of his things before they closed it up. one thing is for sure: it won’t be closed down as long as the cafe. also, security still insist on looking for the culprit who may be stirring up trouble. they asked jaesuk for a potential list of perpetrators, but he refuses to accuse anyone unless he’s sure. however, he doesn’t believe they will actually catch the person. it’s all just fluff to pretend like the school is a safe environment.
as jaesuk walks past the art room, he sees someone standing in front of the door. it’s none other than jiho, the leader of the hipster clique. the artist sighs; he really can’t catch a break. despite what has happened, jaesuk doesn’t personally harbor any bitter feelings towards jiho. he calls out to the other male. “art room’s closed. you can’t get in.” he comes to a stop in front of the hipster. “do you need something?” even though the artist leader wants nothing but peace, there is definitely some sort of tension between the two males.

we’re gettin the band back together / jaehyun&jiho
@ksjaehyun
Jiho had no idea what he was doing at this party. It wasn’t that he was blackout drunk, but that he was really not having much fun being the only one who seemed relatively sober. Sure, some shit had gone down between the cliques after the vandalism of his baby cafe, but it seemed like most of the cliques had some representation here, minus the famechasers and artists, who for the most part, had the sense to stay away for now. It was nearing 2AM and Jiho was sitting on a squashy couch with the stoners, Somin’s kids, which he kinda saw as his kiddos too. Everything was very boring mellow until he heard a sudden bout of raucous laughter to his left as a figure sank into the couch excessively close to him.

After the coffee shop had been trashed, Jiho seemed to be in a perpetually sour mood. He was so attached to the café that he would walk over every day at the time his shift was meant to start even though the place was closed for repairs, patting the walls of the empty building and saying “it’ll be alright,” to no one in particular while skulking around the place for clues as to who’d done it. He had just been making his way back to the dorms, deep in thought about what he should do now that he didn’t have work for the next few weeks, when a he heard a woman’s voice behind him.
He looked around and realized she was talking to him, blinking a few times before giving his usual disarming smile and taking both of the boxes from her.  “Anything for the lady,” he winked, going full cheese. “Just lead the way,” he said, following her with the boxes. He noticed she looked a little nervous, so he tried to start some conversation, not wanting to make her feel awkward in the silence. “I’m Jiho, and you are? I don’t think I’ve seen you around before, because I wouldn’t forget such a pretty face.”
Noelle did not sign up for this when she applied for the job but it seemed that since she was the newbie, she was left with doing inventory.  If that was all she had to do, then she would have been fine but then she was instructed to figure out where to buy the supplies at the cheapest price before going to pick them up because it was better to do that than to pay for delivery.  She even had to pay for the bus fee but she should have known that this crappy school was just as crappy as when she was a student.  Once she had everything in her list and two boxes full of supplies, she decided to get back to Keisung by taxi because there was no way she could carry both boxes at the same time.
Once she arrived at Keisung, it became apparent that she would need help carrying the boxes inside and even though the last thing she wanted to do was to ask for help, she knew that if she didn’t do it, someone might take the other box.  “Hey, do you have some minutes to spare? I need to take these two boxes inside, could you help me carry one?” It was because she was slightly nervous that she spoke clumsily and biting her lower lip when she finished speaking, she hoped that they understood her because she didn’t want to repeat herself.

"rise and shine, sweet thing."
“i see that you’re channeling my mother again this morning,” jiho groaned,covering his head with his pillow in an attempt to block out the sunlight. “why are you so chipper this early in the day?” it was not, as he assumed, early in the day. in fact, it was probably closer to sunset than it was to sunrise, but that’s what just what people do during the summer when they don’t have a job because their cafe was smashed to bits— but whatever. he wasn’t even surprised that she was in his dorm room, as she had probably had the foresight to make a copy of his key in instances such as these, in which he had gotten drunk off his ass and refused to open the door.
