Lucy isn’t sure what gets her more. The emptiness of the apartment now that Tamara and Tim are gone, or all of the things that were left behind. It’s the earring backs littering the sink in Tamara’s room, the stray bobby pins. It’s the LAPD hoodie that smells like sandalwood and grass and is three sizes too big that she stole and never gave back. It’s the regular milk in the fridge next to her fancy almond milk because Tim doesn’t understand how you can milk an almond. No Lucy isn’t sure why the tears don’t stop, just that they don’t.

Unpopular Rookie Opinions

1, I like John Nolan just as much as the other characters. I think the ensemble of this show make it, that includes Nolan, Harper, Lopez, Bradford, Chen, Wesley, Bailey, Jackson etc.

2, I like Nolan and Chen together at the beginning of the series. Yes I am a Chenford shipper, but I did like Lucy and John together. I think they made sense for the beginning of the show and helped each grow

3, I didn't like Bishop and think that bringing in Harper made for better chemistry with everyone else.

4, I think the show is better for being an ensemble and I like that not every episode and every second isn't about Chenford. I like the other characters getting their time to shine

Lucy is broken hearted after seeing Tim fake propose to Ashley and avoids him and he confronts her

Tim was getting damn tired of seeing the back of Lucy Chen all the time. It had been almost an entire week since she had bothered him with some of her hippy dippy shit and even worse a week since he had gotten to look into her eyes. If the eyes were the window to your soul, Lucy's eyes were the window to so much more. Tim had never believed he could care for someone as much as he had cared for Isabel and he hadn't. Rachel was good, a great way to get back into the dating game, but when it had ended it had felt right. Things with Ashley had been nice, but fundamentally he knew something didn't match up. She was beaches and travel, but he was hikes and patrol. He couldn't see the same future Ashley did, and even when he did look into his future, it was warm brown eyes and luscious brown hair. But this, this was inexcusable. Lucy wasn't allowed to not be a part of his life, especially now that he was...well he didn't know what he was, just that he and Ashely were over and maybe he and Lucy could finally begin. He was two seconds from cornering Nolan to force him to give her up when he saw Lucy going into the locker room. Tim didn't care what happened next, or who saw what, he was going to get to the bottom of this all.

Slamming the door open, he was grateful to see no one else in the room, just Lucy mid pulling the pins from her hair. He turned and locked the door before turning to face her. "You shouldn't be in here," Lucy said standing up, looking caught between running or hitting him? Good, the fight was good.

"You shouldn't be ignoring me, but it looks like we're both doing shit we shouldn't be doing." He walked over towards her, faltering only slightly when he saw her flinch. "Want to explain it to me?" he asked, slowing down and coming to a stop in front of her.

"I don't..."

"Don't you dare tell me you don't know what I'm talking about," he said holding a hand up to stop her. "You...I...We have spent way too much time together, we know each other far too well for me to buy that, so talk to me. You've never not talk to me...just talk to me...please" He ended, desperation causing him to croak out towards the end.

"I can't talk to you about this, because this...it shouldn't matter!"

"What shouldn't matter Luce? What shouldn't matter enough to make you hate me?"

"Hate you?! You think I hate you? God if only I could hate you, none of this would matter. I should hate you, for every Tim Test and every time you've made me question who I am, but I can't...and stupidly I was starting to think that maybe we were on the same page, and that things with Chris and Ashley were petering out and you and I were...but you and Ashley are going to make a great life together...honestly, I wish you well" she said grabbing her bag to leave. He threw an arm out against the lockers to keep her from exiting.

"What in the hell are you talking about?"

"I saw you, okay? I saw you propose to her...Congratulations, honestly, you'll make the perfect blue eyed blonde haired children ever," she said, fire eyed and angry.

"I...I'm not engaged to Ashley...I knew you'd be watching and I wanted you to stop butting into everything," he said dropping his arm. "I don't want to be with Ashley...I want to be with you"

Chenford + “He didn't reply and immediately she thought: they've got him and now they're coming for me”

Chenford + “He looked at his phone, turned pale, then quickly left the room. She watched him, smiling.”

Prompt 1:

Tim was not ready for this. He wasn't ready for another Isabel situation and he wasn't ready for that situation to include Lucy of all people. But there she was being taken into interrogation after an undercover bust. She looked worse for wear, and after not seeing his former boot for over a month, hew was sure the sight would stay with him for years to come in every nightmare. No, Tim Bradford was sure he wasn't in love with former boot, it just sort of felt like it sometimes.

Prompt 2:

There was only one reason why Tim wouldn't respond to her on and that meant there cover had been blown. She had been absolutely sure this undercover mission with her and Bradford couldn't fail. She was damn amazing at what she did and she had never once questioned Tim or his abilities. They had been living as Greg and August Stanley for 3 weeks, infiltrating a group of foreign agents looking into what the big plan was. Tim had been so sure earlier today they had been discovered, but Lucy had told him there was no way. She was sure they were way too close to the end, to figuring it out and she couldn't tap out. But now, as she loaded her second magazine into the extra gun she pulled from the closet, Lucy Chen was sure of one thing. She had to go out guns blazing and she had to find Tim, no matter what it took.

Prompt 3:

Lucy couldn't help the laugh and grin that she was currently directing into her beer. She had found it so easy lately to get under Tim's skin. In fact, she was positive that this was her new favorite game. You see, Tim loved to do a Tim Test, but Lucy Lessons...those were her new favorite things. Tim this morning had used a good make out session as a way to distract her long enough to get into the shower before her and had then proceeded to use all of the hot water. So now, in the middle of the morning round up, she had sent a lovely and fun photo of her wearing his favorite jersey...and nothing else. Lucy could only hope Tim had learned his lesson finally.

Lucy rolled her eyes and looked down at Tim on his back. She hadn't realized he was hanging the new light in the entryway of their new place. She couldn't believe that her and Tim were not only a her and him, but that they had their own place. And this time, it was really and truly hers. She wasn't renting some slummy place in the middle of gang violence, she wasn't trying to make ends meet, she wasn't struggling. She was with the man of her dreams. And this man was now laying on the ground after she had accidentally hit the ladder he was standing on. She couldn't help the grin that spread over her lips. "Thank you for falling for me...but maybe, just maybe...don't take it so literally next time!" she finished in a scream and fit of giggles as Tim pulled her down to the floor with him.

Chenford + why are you afraid to be with me?

Tim hadn't expected to see Lucy so emotional. She hadn't been this angry with him since he couldn't even remember and worse than that, she couldn't see how desperately he wanted her. Not just in the physical sense, but in every way he could conceive of. He couldn't imagine her not being in his life. He couldn't imagine waking up in the morning to a world in which Lucy wasn't there making the day just a bit brighter. The way her mere presence in the world made his life easier...how could she not understand that.

"I'm not...I'm not afraid to be with you," Tim said, shaking his head as she turned to walk away. He grabbed her arm, pulling her back to him. "I'm not afraid to be with you Lucy,"

"I can see you're lying and I don't know why," she said with a frown, her warm eyes looking even more hurt than she already had.

"I'm not afraid of being with you Luc...I'm afraid of being without you"

What did you start shipping Chenford and what's your favourite chenford moment?

I actually started watching Chenford scenes because of Erika over at (@nctafraid) introduced me to them. If I'm not mistaken she had me watch the Day of Death pieces with Chenford in them and then kept telling me scenes to watch. Eventually I just binged the entire 3 seasons that were out (twice in a row actually) and then I was hooked. Now I watch (usually the next morning on Hulu so I can skip the ads) and I'm hooked.
