Aim

Heyy, long time no posting new one-shots. I was very busy these weeks. By the way, this is my first x reader one-shot. The idea was credited to @kungfu-panda-imagines. But before anyone could ask, I AM NOT YET READY TO OPEN ANY REQUESTS INVOLVING X READER, I apologize. So, enjoy the x reader one-shots ;)

Warning : very long one-shot

Summary :

Young Lord Shen was forced to socialize with other royal peacocks, on an archery session. And you were the only one who was willing to accompany him.

"He?!" "Yes, he." The other peacock frowned. "Lord Yi," You called him as he grinned mockingly. "I thought only peacocks allowed to attend, (Y/N)." "Lord Shen is a peacock. A royal peacock." You corrected him, but he turned his face away. "What kind of royal who never attended social gatherings like this?!" He commented. "Lord Yi.." you muttered, slightly annoyed. Lord Yi glanced at Shen, who was exchanging some conversations with few peacocks.

"He doesn't even bring a bow." He complained. "We can lend him one," As you suggested, Yi widened his eyes for a while, turning at you in disapproval. "We?! Nope, this is getting worse." He said, grabbing his own set of bow and arrows and walked away. "Where are you going?!" You asked, following him. All of sudden, he shouted, "I'M NOT GOING WITH THAT SICK SNOWBALL-LOOKING BIRD, LADY! YOU CAN GRAB YOUR SET AND FOLLOW US OR YOU CHOOSE TO STUCK WITH HIM." You widened your eyes, this sure drew attention to some royals. You sighed.

Now, Lord Shen was barely talking to any people. You approached him, carrying your archery set. As you went closer, you observed him. This Lord barely attended any social gatherings, not even the royal school. So this was also your first time talking to him in person. And the first thing you wanted to do was to check whether or not those rumors about him were true.

You looked at his feathers--white feathers. You knew there was such thing in this world, even if it was called a "curse". His expression was cold and intimidating, as if he himself wanted to snap at anyone at this point. The best thing you could guess was that he was forced into socializing. And lastly..that pair of metal talons he wore, that made the "clink clank" sound everytime he walked in. Why did this peacock needed a talon to wear? You had been hearing rumors that he was quite invested in science. Was it because he loved it? Or, was his feet--

"I am not going." He stated quietly, but firm enough to snap you out of your thoughts. "..but-" "I said I won't." He slightly raised his voice. "Why? Is it because you don't bring your own set? I'll lend you mine." "No need to-" "Son." Lord Shen glanced back, looking at the other two peacocks behind him. They seemed to be his parents. "Fine." The young peacock Lord sighed. He grabbed your set. "Guide." He said shortly, looking at you in annoyance. You sighed, "Follow me,"

Both of you walked beneath the tiny forest behind a palace. It had a beautiful view, but also a suitable place for archery, you thought. Though, this was not yet the place they were prepared to use for the archery event. As you two walked, there were barely any exchange of words between you. You were still trying to find the right topics to bring up. While Lord Shen looked distracted, or purposefully avoiding eye contacts. "..Lord Shen," you called him. However, he glanced for one second before turning back into the view. "Lord-" "Just say it." He said, a hint of annoyance in his words. "Have you been doing archery before?" You asked. To your surprise, he actually glanced back at you. "I am." He answered. "Oh, you are still." You started to smile. "Since when?" "Since I was born." You sighed, grinning at his sarcasm. "What are you actually wanting to say?!" He asked, confusing you. "What do you mean?" "Don't act." "I'm not?!" I said, confused. Lord Shen sighed in defeat, looking away again. You started to think that he heard what Lord Yi shouted back then.

"..are we supposed to walk there?" "Hm?" You snapped out of your thoughts once again, realizing that Lord Shen had stopped at a crossroads. "Is that a way to the archery area?" He asked once again, raising one of his eyebrows. You blinked few times. "OH! Right," You walked back into him, realizing that you took the wrong path. "We are supposed to walk to the left..wait. How did you know where to go?!" You asked him. "It's..forget about it." He said, about to walk away. "What if I don't want to?!" You said. "Why?!" "Because this is my house?! You are one of the royal peacocks who attend here annually, and I'm pretty sure none of you must have remembered the tracks." He was slightly caught off-guard, but Shen quickly composed himself. He was annoyed, but also didn't expect a seriousness in your voice.

He grabbed your hand and guided you to the edge of a nearby cliff. "Look." He pointed out. You narrowed your eyes at the sight, bending to the point of almost tripping yourself off the cliff. "Tell me if I'm wrong, that is the archery area, isn't it?!" Lord Shen asked. "Oh, you're right. It is! How can you see it in such distance, Lord Shen?" You asked him, as he looked away. You could see a little smirk he showed, but quickly brushed away after a second. "You have poor eyesights." He said. "Hm, but maybe it's you who has the eye of a hawk." You complimented him, observing his slightly blushing cheek's feathers. He feigned a cough, before walking forward. "Since you are being nothing but squeaks and stupid, I guess I should be the one to lead you to the area now." You rolled your eyes. "I have a feeling you looked at a map." "No, I didn't."

As Shen started to lead you to the archery area, he turned to be the one who "squeaked" a lot now. He talked about theories, logics, his inventions, and such. It was quite a tell-tale for you, an interesting one, not sure how the other peacocks would react to this side of him. Were you just curious of him? Maybe.

Now, you two finally arrived at the archery area. And as expected, everyone was looking at you in discomfort, whispering at each other. You glanced at Lord Shen, seeing his annoyed but also ignorant face. They might questioned why you lent him your own set, silently being upset at you. However, they were still busy with their own archery set.

"..so?" Lord Shen finally asked. "So, umm.." your eyes travelled throughout the area, until you found a perfect place to settle down. "Are you going first, Lord Shen?" You asked him. Lord Shen looked at the bow. "Alri-" "Can't believe that you two manage to get a spot." You turned yourself to the voice, revealing Lord Yi who had just arrived. "Lord Yi, where were you?" "Anywhere except with you guys." Yi responded sinisterly, glancing at Shen. He returned the glance with a lot more serious glare. "Why are you here?!" Yi asked. "I don't understand what you want to ask." Shen responded. "Why don't you keep isolating yourself?!" Lord Shen glanced at him sharply as he continued to bother him. "Well, Lord Yi. Why are you still here?! We all have a target to aim." You cut their conversations, subtly asking Yi to mind his own business. Lord Yi only responded with a huff as he walked beside you, revealing that your spot was near each other, to the point of any conversations between you could be heard by each other.

"Just ignore him, Lord Shen." You said, as Lord Shen steadied himself. He looked at the target, who was far away from you both. Shen drew taut, his feathers wrapped tightly around the grip. He narrowed his eyes on the target. Slowly, he was about to release, but..

SNAP! Another arrow was shoot towards the target, much to both of your surprise. It missed the center point, though. However, Shen didn't let go of his grip, instead slowly lowering his bow as you two heard a laugh. Glancing at the other side, you saw Lord Yi smirking at you both. "What? I just wanted to teach him how to aim, okay?!" He said mockingly out loud, to the point that few other peacocks paid attention to you three. "I mean, I'm sure he barely go out of his room. Let alone training. We all know why, poor Lord." Lord Shen let out a small irritated huff at the mocking, was about to turn back to the target to ignore him before he looked back..

Seeing you made your way towards Lord Yi before you pulled his robe and glared at him. "Very childish of you, Lord Yi. Very childish of you." Surprisingly, Lord Yi was quite taken aback by your sudden mood change. As if he had never seen you, narrowing your eyes at him, pulling his robes and gripping it very tight, as if you were about to fight him. "Um, (Y/N)-" "You know, Lord Yi. It's quite brave of you to be boastful and demanding, refusing to follow the rules me and my family had provided for you. I already gave you a few warnings and now you pushed me too far." You said coldly to him. "O-but w-what are you doing?" He asked, a hint of tremble in his voice."What am I doing?!" You let out a fake laugh out loud, "I am only teaching this poor Lord who got ignored by the rest of his family because he. Has. No. Talents. Not even the ability to rule his land." You said, insulting the Lord in return, as he gulped in shame. "He can only demand." You said before letting go of his robe as he tried to stand up. "Now, I heard some merchants are allowed to enter the gatherings to offer some foods and jewelries. Why don't you just bury your depressed self there?" You insulted him, followed by few chuckles from nearby peacocks. Lord Yi looked at you, and Shen, back and forth. Before turned away in shame, picking up his arrows and bow.

You turned back to Lord Shen, who seemed to be..distracted? "Oh, Lord Shen. Did that just disturb you?" You asked him nicely, and the change of your tone snapped him out of his thoughts. You walked towards him as he cleared his throat. "Ah, no. I'm not." He said, a little stuttering as he looked away. You sighed, "..well, I guess I was. How about we take a walk somewhere else?" He glanced at you in a curious way. "But, I thought the archery-" "It's okay if you don't want to do it." You explained, before whispering, "Let's just say my parents were also forcing me to ask you to join us." Lord Shen nodded a bit. "Alright," He said, before his eyes traveled back towards Lord Yi.

"..You're okay with waiting for a few seconds?" He asked you. "Eh?" You backed away as he pulled out three arrows, once again stood up and steadying himself. He whispered, "This is for you," "Wait, wait Lord Shen--what?!" You asked, confused and surprised that he decided to shoot three arrows at once. This also caught the attention of few peacocks nearby, including Lord Yi. Not wanting to wait longer, he drew his arrows, narrowing towards the target, and released them. And to your surprise,

One of them hit the target. Two of them missed. But they kind of made a symmetrical line from the point they hit. Just as you gasped in shock, the target board fell towards the ground as well.

Lord Shen smirked in triumph, glancing at Lord Yi who was also shocked by the sight, before he looked back at you. "It falls. Will that make you mad?" He asked to you. You laughed. "No, why would I?" You smiled at him. And surprisingly, he reciprocated that smile. But before you could react further, he already grabbed the archery set and walked away. "Great, these things are mine now." He said. You processed his words for a few seconds before hurrying towards him. "Okayyy..! So you are now a Master at archery. And you demand my archery set I LENT you?!" You asked him, but he didn't respond and instead closing his eyes in prideful way. "What are you going to demand next, the archery zone?!" You shot him an annoyed look. He stopped on his tracks, looking at you in seriousness. You almost backed away because of this. "..and what does this mean?!" "Hmm.." Lord Shen looked away. "Yes." He said shortly. "Oh, great. And I thought you want me." You muttered, before was met with his glare once again. "What is wrong with you-" "Nothing!" He said as he turned back on the tracks. "You know, I don't need to show you the tracks anymore since you can go on your own. But you don't want to admit you need a company." You teased him as he was still refusing to look at you. "So, what are we going to do now? Are you going to show me another thing you're an expert at?" You said, before he finally looked at you. A tiny smile formed on his beak. "Hmm..well.."

"You are not going to believe this. But I brought some fireworks."

Okayy did you guys survive reading the long paragraphs? I apologize, I was having a writer's block and I really wanted them to interact a lot before Y/N defended her newfound boyfriend colleague. I'm kind of careful when writing Shen, because he is such a complex character. I will be open to critics and suggestion though :D

The relationship starts off as childhood friends, although you’re a human, your best friend is a panda gone by the name of Po.

You both are very close, like tight knot close, your friendship would best be described as best friends forever. Despite the difference in species, growing up together was a blast and you had the best memories you will cherish always.

You both shared everything together, each other’s homes and even each other’s parents. Po’s dad had become a father figure to you in many ways throughout your life. From the time of just being kids, you would have sleepovers and those were some of your favorite memories.

A lot of the time, you would help out Mr. Ping with the restaurant, along with Po. The more time you spent doing that, the more you grow fond of the restaurant, Mr. Ping, and of course, Po. Along the way, you’ve gotten to know more of the citizens of the Valley of Peace and made new friends. It didn’t take very long for them to notice your close friendship with Po, because every time they see you, no matter where you might be, you were never without Po. The two of you, human and panda, were basically inseparable. By the time Po started getting interested in kung fu, you started to realize that you were catching feelings for him, your best friend. At first, you didn’t know how to handle it other than keep it to yourself in which you did. You did exactly that, keeping your feelings and emotions bottled inside.

In the beginning, you didn’t see anything wrong with that. But you would soon come to your senses and realize what a huge mistake that was because of how much it changed you. It changed you, and those around you noticed. You started distancing yourself, and at first, it seemed to go unnoticed. You would still be found helping Mr. Ping and Po at the restaurant, but after Po had become Dragon Warrior, your distancing only grew and it started getting noticed.

Po becoming Dragon Warrior wasn’t the reason why you stopped coming around as some might think. Truthfully, it was because you started catching feelings for Po as mentioned earlier. Because you were human and he was panda, you didn’t want to become the talk of the town if you ended up getting together. You didn’t want to hear any gossip, rumors, or anything negative that would involve the two of you. When you stopped coming around the restaurant, you would tell Mr. Ping it was only because you weren’t feeling very well and that you didn’t want him or Po to catch whatever was making you unwell. Although Mr. Ping seemed to believe you, he knew better but he didn’t want to pry at the same time. Any time Po would come back to the noodle shop, he would only be greeted by his dad and not see you there.

Po didn’t think much of it at first when his dad would mention you were just unwell but after another visit and still no you, he knew something was amiss.

It’s true that some of the villagers might find a friendship between a human and a panda a little weird, Po can’t help but feel there’s something more to your sudden distance than that. Just that thought alone makes him become worried about you. He is not only worried, but he can’t help but feel hurt even as he doesn’t know what’s wrong and the fact that you can’t seem to approach him about it on your own, makes it worse.

While wandering around the valley, Po overhears a small group of villagers talking about you being different at the noodle shop on the days you are there. That was when he decided that he was going to approach you and find out what was going on with you suddenly changing. Before doing so, Po first confides in his dad about the situation, about how he should approach you about it. Because Mr. Ping is like a father figure to you, he knows how you feel about Po. You didn’t tell him in detail at all, but you dropped hints around him as you felt comfortable to do so. Although Mr. Ping would very much like to tell Po about what was really going on with you, he thought this was a matter meant to be dealt with between you two. He wanted Po to become more independent of himself now that he was the Dragon Warrior, and goes onto allow for him to figure it out for himself.

Though it takes time, Po soon comes around and catches you at the right time. You were just leaving the noodle shop right as Po was walking in with the furious five for a meal. You smile and nod at them in acknowledgment as you try to walk by, but Po stops you.

“Can I talk to you for a minute?” he asks.

“Of course.”

You can’t help but feel nervous, as Po leads you in the kitchen for more privacy.

“What’s going on? How come you’re never around anymore?”

You knew this was a confrontation, and Po had every right. But at the same time, you didn’t want him to know the whole truth and tried twisting it.

But of course, he caught you.

“I’ve been unwell-“

“We both know that isn’t all. You know you can tell me anything, right? You really can, and I’ll listen.”

Of course you knew that.

“I know.”

“Tell me. Whats going on?”

You were hesitant to answer, until he gently took hold of your hands with another response.

A response of encouragement.

“I want you to know that I’ll always be here for you. So please, tell me.”

After a deep breath and a nod, you comply and answered him honestly.

“I think I might be in love with you.”

The confession came out as a whisper.

Hi! I hope you are doing well! This is my first time in a very long time to make a request, so I was a bit shy and nervous to ask at first xd. But anyway, I wanted to know if you could use prompts 3 and 9 for a female human reader. Who's extremely close with Po, like im talking these two are legit BESTIES, sleepovers every night, hangouts every day, sparring together, you never see one without the other until the reader starts to catch some feelings for him and distances herself from him because she doesn't want for either of them to become a target of bullying since she is a human and Po is a Panda, and plus Po has his reputation to upkeep and many of the villagers already find their friendship kind of weird because she's not an animal. Po gets worried for her, hurt even, because he doesn't know what's wrong at first until he overhears a group of villagers talking about her being different at the noodle shop, he even confides in his dad on how to approach the situation, which then leads to him confronting her. His dad also knows how the reader feels about Po because he is also like a father to her and she feels comfortable with telling him anything, so instead of telling Po what's wrong fully he allows for him to figure it out for himself when he does go to talk with her. This could be a mixture of angst and fluff, I trust that you will cook with this one. I absolutely love your work!! Have a great rest of your day!!❤️❤️❤️

• You were welcomed in the Jade Palace after Shifu found you alone on the streets in the Valley of Peace

• After Shifu brought you to Oogway, you then had a place to stay, a place to call home

• Opgway had become an important role model in your life, and you had given him the most respect almost out of anyone who ever crossed paths with him

• Oogway saw something in you that even you didn’t know you had, or know that it was there. Because of that, you quickly had become part of the furious five

• Not only was it Oogway that saw something much strength, wisdom, and potential within you, Shifu and the five saw it as well. That being said, everyone had become certain that Oogway would choose you as the Dragon Warrior, without a shadow of the doubt, they truly believed that

• The title of Dragon Warrior didn’t matter to you at all. All you ever wanted to do was was continue to protect the Valley of Peace and everyone there

• Not only were you the strongest one of the five, but you were the most humble and kind. So when Po unexpectedly become Dragon Warrior, you were the only one who was really nice and supportive to him the beginning of it all

• Not only were you humble and kind, you were a well organized person. In fact, being kept organized was one of your strengths. Not only did Oogway and Shifu admired that about you, but so did Tigress

• One night, you were heading back inside the Jade Palace when you walk by the Sacred Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom that’s of at least over 1000 years old, you hear Shifu as he speaks with master Oogway

• You stay out of sight as you continue to witness master Oogway handing over his long staff that’s made of wood of a peach tree to Shifu, now understanding that it was his time to go

• “You must continue your journey without me.” Oogway says

• “Wh-wha-what are you- master! You can’t leave me!”

• “You must believe.”

• “Mastee!”

• You watch as Master Oogway ascends before heading the rest of the way back before to the palace you’re seen

• There, you’re in the kitchen. Right as Po delivers his noodles for dinner to everyone but Tigress is stubborn and refuses a dish

• You were clearly out of breath as you sit in the empty chair

• Everyone begins to compliment Po, until they told you that you have to try it and you agreed, and it tasted heavenly

• “What’s up, (Y/n)? You’re breathing like you’ve been running from something without a break, did something happen?” Viper asks.

• You weren’t just about to tell them what you saw, so you shrugged it off as a late night run to stay on top of your training and they believed you

• When Po started jokingly impersonate Master Shifu, you cracked a small smile and prevented a laugh while everyone else was laughing. Laughing until Shifu showed up

• Everyone fell silent

• “Ears? Not working for ya?” Po says

• “It’s Shifu!” you whisper yell at him

• “Of course it’s Shifu, who else do you think I was- oh! Master Shifu!”

• A very unhappy Shifu walks in

• “You think this is funny?! Tai Lung has escaped from prison and is on his way here, right now, and you’re acting like children! And it is up to you to stop him!” Shifu says to Po

• “what?” Po panicked

• “Tai Lung escaped and it is up to you to stop him!” Shifu addresses to Po

• “And here I thought you had no sense of humor!” Po jokes.

• Until he saw the look Shifu was giving him, than he quieted down

• “Are you serious?”

• “Master, please! Let us stop Tai Lung! This is what you’ve trained us for!”

• “What about Oogway? He stopped him before and he can do it again.” Po says

• “He can, but can’t anymore.”

• “I could easily make sure that this ends peacefully-“ you start

• “No! It is not your destiny to stop Tai Lung! It is his!”

• Except Po wasn’t there

• “Where’d he go?”

• Seeing Shifu confronting Po to stay, you take the opportunity to follow Tigress along with the rest of the five

• “Tigress!” you shout

• “Don’t try and stop me!”

• “We’re not trying to stop you!” Viper says

• “What?”

• “We’re coming with you!” you declared, as Monkey gives a thumbs up

• This is what Oogway would have wanted after all, right?

• Being related to a king from over 1,000 years ago gave you a lot of good in life as well as bad

• Although you weren’t a direct descendant, you’ve always been treated as if you had come from a family of rich royalty

• Everyone in Gongmen City treats you with great respect and to those who have never met you before, wanna meet you

• For example, when Lord Shen had dominated Gongmen City, word got out to him about you and after learning of your relations to a king, he knew that meant you were a noble individual and since you were just that, he knew you were ranked higher than him as a noble

• At first, Lord Shen thought he should hate you, or even despise you just for being ranked higher than him as a noble. But when you were brought to him by the wolves, he saw different and even had a change of heart and mind

• Up until the moment you were brought to him, Lord Shen only had plans to use you to his advantage, but there was something about you that got through to him and ever since, he did nothing but treat you like a queen, telling you that you deserve all the respect from everyone around you

• Lord Shen had not only treated you like a queen, but also as if you were on his side when you really weren’t

• Lord Shen knows you were one of the good guys and continuously carry the hope that he could convince you to convert, to trade sides

• But you weren’t budging

• “It’s just not in my blood. It’s not in my blood to let myself fall into your reign of darkness.” you’d say

• “We shall see.” he replied, almost with confidence

• In times ahead, you easily noticed that you were getting through to him in the way you wanted as he seemingly was less cold and you took that to your advantage

• You wanted to follow your own plan to either escape from his grasp, or until you have him fully see things in your perspective. It was a slow burning process, but you were getting there

• After about three months since you were brought to his palace, you could see you getting the better of him and thanks to that, Lord Shen was becoming as someone who is a pleasure to be around

• Soon enough, you’ve found yourself voluntarily going everywhere with him. Not by orders, but by your own free will, you were beginning to like him, believe it or not

• The more time spent together, the more you know each other and because you know so much about each other by now, Shen has become more open to you and trusted you enough to share bits and pieces of the darkest times in his past

• All you did was listen to him as he spoke any of it, now knowing he was once good and finding yourself trusting the peacock just as much as

• While you were wandering around looking for Lord Shen, you follow the sound of the soothsayers voice and as you peaked from behind, not wanting to give your presence away at that moment, you listen in a

• “Are you certain it is the panda who is a fool? You had just destroyed your ancestral homeshed, Shen.”

• “A trivial sacrifice, when all of China is my reward.”

• “The cup you choose to fill has no bottom. It is time to stop this madness.”

• “Why on earth would I do that?”

• It was at that point you made your presence known, with an answer of your own. Your answer doesn’t give the soothsayer the chance to give her response. With your response, you hope it would be the right answer. Which was that you agree with the soothsayer

• “Because it’s the right thing to do and you know it. It’s what I would do.”

• With this response, you know that you have Shen under your thumb as you see a change in his demeanor. You see it in his eyes that your response struck a nerve in him, you see that he was actually putting some thought into your words. You thought maybe he was truly considering to follow through what you would do

• “She’s really gotten to me.” Shen thought before letting out a sigh

• Not much longer after thinking exactly that, Shen turns to you and agrees

• After the madness had come to its end, Shen got to know more of you and your noble life

• Finding out you were not directly a descendant of a king from 1,000 years ago amazed him and that got you even more respect from him

• Even more so to learn that your family history acted out of genuine kindness, compassion, respect, and passion to help those in need instead of focusing on yourself or your reputation

• That part in your family is what inspired you to help Shen see the good in things rather than the negative, you helped him to have a change of heart and to come back to the light. You were proud of that accomplishment

• Beyond all else, you were proud to be who you are

• Shifu had known you long before since you moved into the Jade Palace

• After being found on the streets one day by the five, they sensed you were in some kind of danger and they took you back with them to the Palace

• At the time, you knew only very little of Kung fu and once you accepted the invitation to move into the Jade Palace, Shifu agrees to train you and just like any beginner, you were clumsy at it in the process of your training, but that was to be expected by the both of you

• Growing up, you were taught to never give up on anything just because it’s hard or challenging, you stick with it and that includes never giving up on yourself. Not giving up on yourself is the golden rule. Even knowing Shifu as well as you did, not once did he hesitate to not go easy on you in the slightest. But you don’t mind as you get a thrill out of the toughest of challenges

• The more you train, the more you see how much you have improved and Shifu sees that as well

• It’s honestly more challenging than it looks

• Every improvement you’ve made gets praised and complimented, you can’t help but feel proud of yourself the more you get that is what gives you the motivation to keep going without looking back

• If you feel you made any mistakes, Shifu is kind and gentle about it towards you and helps you see through that something good comes out of any mistakes

• After a while of training, Shifu becomes a little more open about his past. What he tells you is more than what he tells everyone else

• You’re the one he feels closest to, enough that he put his complete trust and faith in you more than anyone else

• Because of Shifu’s training, you discovered the hidden talents you never knew that you had and they come in handy during battles with foes

• Even though you’re well trained, Shifu often feels that it’s his responsibility to having protect you at all costs, that is how strong your bond is

• One of the many things you do together, is meditate. Just like Po, he wanted to introduce you to inner peace as a next step up in your training

• Of course, you agreed and after watching him demonstrate it, it only fueled your urge to wanting to learning how to find your inner peace more

• When you first had come to live in the Jade Palace, Shifu made sure that everyone knew that they were to respect you just as they respected him. If you were disrespected in anyway, it would cause a conflict

• Being the kind and gentle soul you are, you didn’t feel that would be necessary. All you really wanted was to be treated in a way that the rest of them would want to be treated

• Given the fact that Shifu hardly wears a smile on his face, you made it a mission to get him to crack a smile in some way. After telling the five about wanting to make him smile, they liked the idea and supported it, even giving you ideas on how you could do just that

• You went with Po’s idea first, and that was to set up a prank and wait until he falls into it. You weren’t entirely onboard with the idea, but once you saw the idea for a prank was harmless, you gave in

• Everyone was now in on it

• When Shifu eventually falls for it, you confessed it was your idea, taking the blame for Po and everyone else

• Shifu wasn’t pleased

• Shifu scolding you was obviously just a show while in his mind, he found your idea for a prank amusing

• “You think this is funny?!” he scolds.

• “Lighten up, Shifu. We were just having a little fun.” you joke.

• Later on, you got a taste of your own medicine as Shifu got revenge by pulling his own prank on you

• At first, you were upset but quickly got over it when you realized what this was about

• After Shifu had a little bit of his own fun, the little prank war had come to an end and not once did you see a smile on his face, a smile you wanted to see, a smile you thought you’d never see

• That was until you cracked a cheesy joke at the table as you were all sharing a meal together

• “Why did the picture go to jail?”

• “Why?” everyone says in unison

• “Because it was framed!”

• It was one of the dumbest, corny jokes you know and for some reason, everyone found it hilarious.

• Looking around, your eyes scan over everyone and land on Shifu. That’s when you notice something different about him, something no one would expect, something that made you feel nothing but pleased as you’ve felt you had conquered your mission

• There on his face, was the smallest smile ever seen before and he was smiling because of you

• Shifu always felt there was just something about you that made any room light up once you walk in

• It was a pleasant feeling

• A feeling he wanted to last forever

• He decided that even though he can’t force it on you, he decided that he had to keep you forever

• Underneath the seemingly cold demeanor, there is a softer side of Tigress that almost never shows, and you’re the only one by far who has experienced seeing that side of her and to wasn’t easy, what it took was to gain her trust and confidence to know you could really be trusted

• What she really needed was a listening ear and a little comfort but because she’s stubborn, she won’t admit and thought she never would

• That is until she met you. Like everyone else, she would she started off by giving you a little bit of the cold shoulder and not to mention the fact that she seems to be very dismissive of everyone, but especially towards you

• For example, when you would ask her a question, she would only ever give you a brief response. Weather it would be in a single word, or a single sentence and it would be very curt as well. For the longest time, you never thought you’d see the day she’d become even the slightest vulnerable until you did

• It had been a long day for Tigress, it left her stress and frustration. Training was the cause of it, training with Shifu and the others. Tigress was pushed to her limits and made the smallest mistakes that she saw as fatal mistakes, mistakes that couldn’t be fixed when that was really the furthest thing from the truth

• On that night, Tigress was wandering in the halls and kept going until she reached the kitchen which is where you happened to be

• Like Tigress, you thought everyone was turned in for the night, until her sudden appearance took you by surprise

• Tigress was just as surprised to see you as you were her, but at the same time, you greeted her with a warm smile, a greeting in which you always give when she approaches you, a smile you hoped to get back from her one day in return

• Tigress looks at you suspiciously and notices that you’re putting something together to eat and drink

• A conversation starts

• “What are you still doing up?” Tigress asks you

• You can’t help but chuckle as she sounded like your mom saying that

• “I could ask you the same thing. But since you asked first, I couldn’t sleep and decided to get a late night snack. Why are you up?”

• “Couldn’t sleep, either. When I can’t sleep, I often wander the halls until I feel tired enough to retire back to my room.”

• “Long day?” you ask.

• “You could say that, yes.”

• “What happened?”

• Even though you had a hunch on why, you still just had to ask and you weren’t expecting her response to be so warm, and you were right to expect that

• “That’s not any of your concern.” she snaps

• “Okay, I get it. You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to or if it makes you uncomfortable to talk about. But just so you know, if you ever do want to talk about it or whatever else, my ears are always open to listen.”

• After receiving your response, Tigress felt a bit of guilt tripping her and immediately wants to apologize because you didn’t deserve that

• “I made some noodles, do you want some? I made enough for two.”

• Tigress agrees and accepts your offer. Out of nowhere, she speaks up.

• “If you truly want to know what happened, I can tell you a little. Just not the full story.”

• “Of course, I’d like to know. But don’t feel you have to, if you don’t want to talk about it, I completely understand and respect that. I really don’t mean to pry, I just wanted to help my friend to feel better and make it so the events are no longer a burden on your shoulders or to have you worrying about them.”

• Tigress stares back at you with a hint of adoration and admiration in her eyes

• “Only if you want to.” you reminded her

• That’s what got her to crack, she tells you everything anyways and by the end of it, you reach over and place a comforting hand on her shoulder

• “I feel like a failure. I couldn’t seem to stay in focus today and it cost me a few fatal mistakes.”

• You begin to comfort her with words you know your way around of

• “You’re not a failure, Tigress. You’re not doomed just because a few mistakes were made. Mild mistakes might I add, those mistakes were nowhere near fatal. I promise they weren’t. It could’ve been anyone of us. The way I look at any of my past mistakes is as a lesson from the past. Forget the mistake but always remember the lesson and learn from it.”

• “Really?”

• “Really. Because dammit Tigress, you’re the best fighter/warrior I know. Out of everyone here, you’re truly the best one.”

• Silence returns, but it’s a different kind of silence. The kind that leaves you with a sense of comfort and security

• While no more was said, you could have sworn that Tigress had just given you a small smile, the kind of smile that provides a link to her softer side coming out. To you, that was victory because that tells you she seems to feel better about everything than how she felt only moments ago

• “Thank you, (Y/n). I really needed that.”

• “Absolutely! Just feel free to come to me if you need someone to listen to whatever is on your mind.”

•After sharing the emotional moment, Tigress had become less cold and dismissive of you. In fact, she was quickly warming up to you and you both become close and together form a strong friendship

• Tigress really needed that comfort for a long time, even long before this. For the first time, Tigress allowed herself to let someone give her that comfort and some peace of mind
