Thanks for the interest!! I’m still working out details with a friend for this and setting up a blog and stuff. Right now there are a couple of projects running as well but I’ll definitely update here as soon as we get anything up!

Kuroaka Fic recs

So I figured that since I’ve gone through most of the tag, I might as well make a list of my favourites for this blog? I also just threw in my really casual thoughts on each fic so here we go:

Twice the Coincidence by PrinceCat Rating: T // Words: 5583 This was probably the first Kuroaka fic I’ve read? Basically, Kuroo texts the wrong number but Akaashi can’t bear to tell them. It’s a really cute read, and there’s some nice side-character interactions too.

Just like a smoking gun by Meliae Rating: T // Words: 8338 I really love this fic - it’s an atheletics au where Kuroo is just so smitten for Akaashi. There’s nice, gradual build-up, with a mix of tension and hope. Generally I love the way meliae writes, and I’d really recommend checking out their other works too!

closest in closets by keptein Rating: T // Words: 1405 Kuroaka makeout in a closet. I love the way their dynamic is written and how they’re constantly challenging each other for control. Honestly, it’s just such a charming fic.

Party Animals by notallballs Rating: T // Words: 5204 Akaashi and Kuroo flirt passive-aggressively at a party, when they’re both just losers and it’s amazing. Really, this fic was wild and took turns that I didn’t expect, but in good ways, definitely.

When Time Stands Still by 1tskillingm3 Rating: T // Words: 11637 A magic au that I really enjoyed even though I thought I didn’t like magic aus (I was wrong). Akaashi’s magic is so interesting, and I love how Kuroo is just drawn to them. 

Close Distance by ideallyqualia Rating: T // Words: 1782 Akaashi overthinks his relationship with Kuroo. I love the concept; it’s a light read, beautifully descriptive and very thoughtful.

fumble by whatisausername Rating: E // Words: 4991 Note that there’s cheating in this fic, though neither the author nor I condone cheating or think that drinking excuses it. Anyway, it’s basically smut or PWP...really sinful and good fiction.

deux ex by downmoon Rating: T // Words: 12544 This is a dystopian au with lots of angst, and graphic violence. It gets really angsty, and doesn’t end on a great note. If you’re into it, though, it’s a great read with wonderful worldbuilding and storytelling. This really left an impact on me, so it’s here.

Yes, plugging my own fic is gross but; Distance by Lusethxii Rating: M // Words: 11238 This is a fic that I’m actually pretty proud of, because it actually came close to the concept I had for it. Akaashi meets Kuroo, a stranger outside the convenience store, whom he soon finds himself helplessly drawn to. It’s mostly bittersweet, but if you read it do let me know what you think!

I may change or update this list, but currently these are the fics that come to mind. If your fic is on this list and you would like me to remove it for any reason, please let me know. Also, I’m always up for talking about these fics or just general fic discussions!
