The fact that Quinn doesn’t care if Finn cheats on her with other girls, but she can’t stand the idea of him cheating on her with Rachel is very telling ... she really hates the idea of finchel being together and not because of her feelings for Finn.

If she really cared about him, she wouldn’t want him to cheat on her with ANY girl, but for some reason the only girl he isn’t allowed to get near to is Rachel.

if blaine won a tony in the interviews that evening youd have blaine gushing about how he trained and method acted and tweezed his eyebrows or whatever else the role required as his costars affectionately bullied him in the background. and kurt would be giving a separate interview 10 ft away, holding the tony close to his chest, and melodramatically joke of all the things he had to “sacrifice for Blaine’s dream” like one (1) singular pilates class and a couples massage that had accidentally autorenewed

What was your inspiration for the fic/art you submitted to the zine?

Personally, Vampire!Aus are one of my favorite categories of fic to consume (I’m a massive twihard) but, at the time when prompts were sent out, I had yet to actually write anything vampire related outside of some vignettes or sloppy blurbs that have since been buried in my notes app. The zine seemed like the perfect opportunity to give myself a reason to sit down and write what I had been wanting to explore. But, also practically, I was looking for a brain break from Klueless, my current long fic project, and I wanted to write something more in line with the “innocent” unrequited love feeling that was done so beautifully in glee season 2. I wanted to subvert that feeling in no surprise by making Blaine the one to be nervous to a more sure-of-himself (and a little older) version of Kurt out as a little writing exercise (and I’m a sucker for a smitten Blaine Anderson)

2. What was your process like choosing which fic/art to contribute and/or completing new fic and/or art exclusively for the zine?

My writing and editing strategy is not at all efficient. I’m a perfectionist and I tend to write and edit as I go, which can prevent me from moving on from sections until I deem them “good enough even when I know I’m going to need to edit them later anyway. I can be too hard on myself. Unfortunately, in the period in my life when I was writing this fic, my dad was in the hospital and then actually lived with me afterwards while he was recovering. My days were entirely devoted to taking care of him, going to his doctors appointments and rehab visits, and mustering up the energy to go to work… And taking care of myself was on the backburner. I ended up taking a long break in between starting and finishing this fic because of this. I had such bad writers block and, coupled with my tendency to be hard on myself during editing phases, I was not in a good place mentally. While I don’t know if it’s my best work, I am really proud of myself for completing it because of the time of my life this fic represents and my ability to create something that was solely for me during a time of my life that was largely devoted to another person. It’s forever going to be a personal achievement of mine!

3. What was your experience like participating in the creation of and contributing to the zine?

Everyone was so kind. I was able to get an extension to finish this fic, which I’m very grateful for because “no surprise” would not exist without it. I was less involved with the entire process/promotion than I wanted to be given how my life was going, but it was still so wonderful to be apart of this. I have loved reading everyone’s work inside, and having a new, physical memento for the klaine fandom has been so surreal. To have art/fic be professionally printed??? And the fact that I’m in it??? It’s so unbelievably cool!!

4. Can we expect future submissions to subsequent Klaine fanzines?

I hope so ! I haven’t written much in the past few months, but I’m eager to get back into writing now that life has settled. I still have ideas collecting dust in my drafts that need to see the light of day…

What was your inspiration for the fic/art you submitted to the zine?

I love illustrating stories so much, trying to capture the key, or most moving, most evocative moments I feel while reading.

2. What was your process like choosing which fic/art to contribute and/or completing new fic and/or art exclusively for the zine?

There were so many stories I wanted to illustrate and since I didn't know which the other artists would want to choose, I waited until their choice was made to draw for the remaining ones. I really like challenges. I find that often, creativity is born from constraint. And I'm really happy I did it that way, because on my own, I don't know if I would ever have drawn Klaine super old, or on the verge of dying... and I really like what came out of this attempt. It pushed me to think more, to try more, dig deeper in my emotions.

3. What was your experience like participating in the creation of and contributing to the zine?

It was an incredible adventure. It was really cool to work with other artists, to struggle with the cover to fit all our characters, to build the bookmark, to see as the days went by the pages of the zine become dressed with stories and drawings. And after waiting to receive it by mail, the excitement!! And finally.... savoring it, page after page, in order, very slowly.

4. Can we expect future submissions to subsequent Klaine fanzines?

I love challenges...so I don't know how I could resist participating at least a little?

Wanted to write a new parents!Klaine for a long time

There was no process. I was about to write the fic anyway. Fortunately the slot for new parents!klaine was open.

3. What was your experience like participating in the creation of and contributing to the zine?

It was so fun and I'm proud of everyone who participated. Now I can have a permanent batch of klaine shipper 🤣 Collaborating with 2-3 beta readers help me connect with more people. It was difficult for me to complete the fic within time and word limit but it gave me immense pleasure.

4. Can we expect future submissions to subsequent Klaine fanzines?

Maybe. I'm quite busy from now on. I may try to contribute to future ones.
