I more or less oversee and keep the peace; you could call me a manager. I only truly intervene when it's absolutely necessary. Normally, my Arceus would be the one doing this, but after a horrid war, he was forced into a long slumber to regain his strength, so I've taken up the mantle. As for my niece and sister here, certain...circumstances don't allow them to partake in any of the duties I perfom.

Zuzu approached and stopped at a respectable distance before Celeste, Flora, and Kitsuki, then offered a bow. He held a hard expression on his face, wary of interacting at all, but he pushed through the feeling.

"Can I ask if this your home, or did you also receive an invitation?... What's home like for you?"

The trio return the bow, Celeste being the first to speak.

Ah, you're the second to ask if this is our home. It isn't. Like everyone else, we've been invited here from our homeworld. However, this island does bring some familiarity to me.

Flora perked up when she heard that.

Oh, so it's not just me! I also felt like I was back home when we got here!

You'd be correct. As I hold more power than most of my species, I must watch everything diligently. At least that was before, now that things are more peaceful I can be more lax. I am lucky enough to get a few moments to myself to wander and explore other worlds as well as spend time with my sister and niece. If I may ask what is your world like?

(ShayminCafe) Cherry eyed Celeste curiously as the Mew flitted about the lantern rite. "Interesting. I would not have thought a creature such as yourself would have the time to spare for an event such as this. Do you not have duties to attend to or have you obtained a substitute to cover for them in your leave of absence?"

My duties aren't so grand that I can't step away to spend time with my family. The legends and mythical creatures back home are more than capable of taking care of things if they do need my assistance. However, they need only to call my name, and I'll be there. So far everything seems quiet as usual.

Wo: "It is not every day that I get to meet someone like you..! Forgive me for any rudeness, but I have only read about your kind in books, so getting to meet you is a surprise..~ Have you been able to come to events like this before, or is this your first outing?"

The mew giggled at Wo's comment, bowing to the snail.

You're not being rude at all. To be honest, this is my first time meeting a member of your kind as well. From what I've understood, you're from Paldea, correct? As for outings, I typically roam between worlds and observe. This is my first time actually participating in an event with my family

Alyse sheepishly took the towels from Kris and Spot, though grateful for them. Before they could do anything else, they spotted a Pokemon they never thought they'd ever see in person:

Alyse dropped their towels on the ground in shock while Celeste's wind did its work. It was mind boggling to think they'd come across not one legendary, but two in a relatively short amount of time. Did it mean anything? Just how special was this place?

Before they could respond, more Pokemon approached with towels and wind:

Alyse looked around at each of them as they pitched in, with wide eyes. Their gaze lingered on the shaymin that addressed them- MORE legendaries. They had to process everything happening.

While Cherry flapped her wings, Alyse's hair fully dried and poofed up in volume.

"Oh... oh wow! Thank you for all the towels and the air... I mean the wind. Gusts?"

They bent down to pick up the towels they dropped, then gratefully added the ones from Fern and Shaythulu to their stack. Even though they were drier now, their clothes still had a sense of dampness on top of the sea salt that stuck to them. The towels would still come to use.

"I wasn't planning on taking a swim but someone fell off the dock and was having a hard time, so that's why I was drenched aha." They smiled embarrassingly. "Thank you for everything!"

Alyse turned to address Fern, though they felt a weight with so many eyes on them- especially the legends.

"You don't see a lot of pokemon that can speak a human language! I can actually understand pokespeak well enough, so whatever feels right for you will probably work with me," they said and smiled.

While the Pokémon were focused on them, Alyse took this as an opportunity to quietly admire them: Spot’s outfit and stripes, Cherry’s bat-like wings, Shaythulu’s ominousness. Fern’s shiny coat. Celeste’s heart shaped markings.

They wondered what regions everyone had come from.

"Oh my- a Mew?!- Ahem! H-G-Greetings! My name is Chunli, the h-host of this event! I didn't know an all knowing deity would visit my lousy event... w-what brings you here? Oof! the letter, I'm stupid..."

In an attempt to calm her down, Celeste's puts a paw on Chunli's shoulder.

Easy child, no need to be so tense around me. Please treat me as you would any other pokemon. As for this event I would hardly call this lousy, you put time and effort into organizing it and it's beautiful. My sister and her daughter are enjoying their time here so don't belittle your efforts.

Loki@Kutsuki: You smell a lot like flowers. But not in like, a gardener's way, or a grass-type's way. Either someone's really into tea, or you live in a really bloomy meadow of some sort. Maybe both. You seem pretty relaxed, too. Are you having a good time so far?

The young mewtwo tilted her head at the first part of the shaymin's words, trying to figure what she meant.

Um...I was pickin flowers for my mama before I got here if that's what you mean...

Her confused expression turned to that of excitement when asked about the event.

Celeste approaches Rising Moon, bowing once she is close enough.

It's nice to see a lunala such as yourself so active outside their region, much less their universe. My lunala sadly limits herself to events in the region she watches over. With that being said do you normally participate in outings like this?

"Hm, I cannot recall last time I went to a festival or event like this..." she said in wonder before glancing to the mewtwo "I tend to stay in my realm and watch over or developed my universes when its needed, I tend to my duties non stop, I came here out of curiosity more than will of attending..."

If it were that simple you would have been home by now wouldn't you? Besides, there are unspoken rules in place that stop me from getting too involved. Luckily for you, he hasn't realized his newfound powers, if you're fortunate enough you may be able to subdue him easier. But as I stated before don't use this as an excuse, since you're participating in the gym challenge you'll encounter many pokemon and challengers alike. You'll need to form strategies based on your situation, which means getting to know your new teammates including that charmander perched on your shoulder. Treat pokemon as you would treat anyone else you want to befriend, learn their strengths and weaknesses, take heed of their thoughts and feelings, and know when to fall back and give them rest. Trust in your team as they trust in you, I'm sure you know that already.

”Heh, well you know someone had to be the hero,” the human tried to act nonchalant towards the praise, “just so happened I was the best one around to kick some FizzCo ass.” 

Scorch simply rolled her eyes from the humans shoulder, smacking him on the head with her tail. He quickly stoped his preening with a sharp Ow.

“Hey I thought you were supposed to be on my side,” he muttered towards the lizard only to get another eyeroll.

The petty argument was quickly cut off as they took notice of Celeste’s floating. “Hold on a-“ he held up an arm to shield his eyes as she began to glow brighter.

As the light died down he glanced towards the once dragonair only to see- “wait you’re one of those pink cat things too?!”

Flora rubbed the back of her head nervously.

Itttt's a bit complicated, not something I wanna discuss out in the open at the moment. It's nice to meet you though Rin, it's always a welcome sight seeing another mewtwo around! My sister says there's plenty of mews and mewtwos between different universes and I'm glad she's right!

Noticing the fellow two, Kutsuki dashes up to her much to the dismay of her mother Flora who was forced to catch up.

Flora: Kutsuki! What did I tell you about running off like that!?

Kutsuki: Mama look! Another mewtwo like us!

Flora: I can see that but that doesn't mean you can just bumrush them like that!

The older two rubs the back of her head, bowing.

Sorry bout that. You know how kids are...doesn't help that we're the only mewtwos back home. In any case I'm Flora and this is my daughter Kutsuki. I hope she hasn't startled you...

Rin had strayed a bit from Khione for just a moment to see what foods were available at the stalls. Unable to make up her mind, she decided to skip snacking for now. She was on her way back when something caught her attention, that something being Kutsuki.

Rin was caught off guard. She figured this universe had Mewtwos of its own, but she was surprised to see a child here.

But even more surprising to her was the child's mother trailing along behind. Rin had never entertained the thought of a parent Mewtwo. Aside from her father, who was not a Mewtwo, all she'd ever really known was battling.

After the initial shock left her, Rin spoke:

"It's nothing really," she said. "I suppose I can understand her being excited. It's not an every day sight.

In any case, my name is Rin. Pleased to meet you both."

She considered Flora's words for a moment. "The only Mewtwos?" The species must be quite rare on this world, Rin thought. It made sense -- the same was true of where she came from. Still, curiosity got the better of her: "Are you two not lab-grown then? I have never seen a parent and child Mewtwo duo before."

(asktheisle) Nat seems a little curious as he eyes Celeste-Mew were considered incredibly rare, and even rarer to see. Regardless he maintains a friendly demeanor in the Mew's presence.

"Y'know, I've heard stories that this island is connected to Mew somehow. Does it have any significance to you? Feel any different being here?"

I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel at home here. It wouldn't be a stretch to say this place parallels my island home where I live with my family. I wonder how many similarities they share
