Idkk if this has been asked or said b4 but is ur Cassandra still an alien at all? Or are they just a silly freak of nature >:)

first time ask! but YES cassandra is in fact still an alien in our version. i mean theyre ALSO a freak of nature but dats a whole other thing. They don't take very kindly to their alien form, or penilians in general, so they dont really "turn alien" willingly

ive drawn penilians a few times however! Heres an older doodle of a high-ranking penilian (+grub) & a much more recent propaganda-esque one depicting a young penilian child soldier

oMG please to the hcs and fun facts,, do you guys brainstorm or have designs of hs goth punks?? like before they decided to NOT go thru with it

OKAY I kno this is an old ask . I kept considering whether I should put together a voice claim video (since the please here is in ref 2 this post) BUT i just ended up deciding against it FOR NOW.... but when it comes to voice-specific hcs there's a couple main ones i like taking into consideration

>Pico speaks in a philly accent, Darnell rarely raises his voice and (this is just canon, actually) uses aave a bunch, and Nene sounds bubbly and nasally, but lacks an accent due to her being later-gen japanese-korean (still speaks both languages!)

>Cassandra has strange talking mannerisms, and their alien accent gets consistently mistaken as vaguely centric-european

>Hanzo has probably picked up pronounciations and cadences from both their japanese and mexican families

>Cyclops has a remarkably masculine gruff voice, and Alucard is a Beautiful Smooth Baritone who also never yells, or has much of an expressive voice in general

>Piconjo speaks weird, period. hard 2 explain my mental image but he's got strange mannerisms, similar to Cass, & his speaking cadence can sometimes feel "artificial". Zed is just a normal guy that speaks with know-it-all airs a lot

About the hs designs thing which also ties into hcs... yes! I was recently working on drawing design comparisons for everyone (gpunx & pico-nene-darnell) between their 14-15 yr old selves and their early 20s selves which i need to keep up on!

if ur interested in any specific hcs JUST LMK and i'll TRY to reply in a reasonable amount of time. I can never decide wat 2 talk abt without a prompt Xº0

batman villains are funny bc they all end up in arkham over and over so its just like

Yet another trip out of the province had — I can never manage to leave any art done for when I'm gone, and then I never have time to draw while I'm there! Before getting expiremented on by his father, what did Alucard look like? (Hair, eyes, skin) And which parent does he resemble the most? Ever thought about that?

VERY interesting question and you're in luck because I have (somewhat) thought about it.

SO Alucard’s father began experimenting on him from a fairly young age, so his mutations started to happen when he was a child. In our AU his father is white and his mother is black, and Alucard tends to take after his mother (and specifically he looks the most like his aunt, his mothers younger sister).

I was talking about this with @kuzuuzuu and we remembered a while back he'd drawn what Alucard would look like if he'd never been experimented on, so he decided to give that doodle a quick update:

His skin didn’t lighten or really lose pigmentation as a result of his mutation, it just took on a much colder purple/blue. His eyes did lighten from dark brown to pale lilac, and he’s very sensitive to light as a result (hence the sunglasses, though he also wears them for cosmetic reasons and cuz he knows his eyes might look unsettling to some people). His hair didn't change much but it does have a bluer undertone post-mutation as well.

Fun fact his blood is also more purple/cold toned darker red than normal human blood.

So I have read Effigy and noticed that Alucard is the only one who calls Cyclops "Cyril" why is that?

Short answer: because he’s gay

Long answer: because he’s gay and it’s a subtle way that he shows affection and closeness with Cyclops. Nicknames can be intimate or they can represent distance or even a persona. I like to think that Cyclops’ nickname is representative of his outer tough guy persona, the side most people interact with, while Cyril is like the softer side of his personality. Most people call him Cyclops but Alucard isn’t most people to him.
