A sequel to Legally Married Morally Confused

After witness protection, fake marriage, and a totally casual real relationship that accidentally turned into forever love, Harry and Louis have finally moved into the Safe House for good.

They were hoping for peace. What they get is glitter. And group chats. And emotional crises disguised as trivia nights.

As Niall plans games night like it’s a military operation, Zayn reappears with unfinished business, and Liam spirals into an identity crisis so intense it might be solved by a mesh crop top, Harry and Louis try to hold it all together—with help from the dick drawer, a cricut machine, and each other.

There’s lap dances. There’s wedding vows. There’s a stolen ficus. And somewhere in between, they all learn how to be loud and proud—sometimes quietly.

Panic! At the Safe House is finally finished and posted in full! I won’t lie—this one came with a lot of pressure after the response to Legally Married, Morally Confused. I second-guessed every joke, every plot point, every watermelon.

This fic started as a cracky little side project and turned into something that’s genuinely really special to me. It’s messy and queer and chaotic and soft—and somehow still ends in a (hopefully nice) surprise with everyone exactly where they’re meant to be.

I worked like an animal the week I wrote this just to get it finished and uploaded. I couldn't get the whole thing out of my head fast enough. Sleep definitely took a backseat, and I think by the end of it, I was cutting a few corners in my storytelling craft just so I could deliver by the timeline. I'm still immensely proud of it, I think the story is compelling enough to make up for any grammatical errors and slight plotholes. These characters are definitely my favourite I've ever written. And the Nouis banter makes me laugh even when I reread my own work. Not only that, but it has a companion fic, a fictional book written by the characters in the story that not only further explains the Omega-Alphic Biology rules of the AU, but foreshadows events in the sequel which is currently under construction.

Forget about the gloves he has to wear at all times. He's here to expand his knowledge, write and down himself in books -- No matter how distracting 'Hallway Boy' may be-- The obnoxious, flirty frat wannabe determined to become the bane of Louis' existence. Or, a college AU set in San Francisco where two lost boys who seemingly have nothing in common find inspiration, each other, and themselves in the process.

KWGJ Says: A must-read I think. I'm confused why nobody really talks about this fic, unless it is a hidden gem? It's no longer on AO3, so download it now even if you don't feel like it, have it sitting in your dropbox for when AO3 in inevitably down again. It's such a beautifully told story, with some nice little easter eggs along the way. The characterisations are lovely, and the writing is wonderful. It's a treat to find something so well written that isn't overly hyped already. Also, as a bonus it has some really magnificent illustrations from Gina @twopoppies, so give it some love.

I really enjoyed this one. Louis agrees to fake a sex tape with Harry in order to force his coming out to the world. They both have massive crushes on each other, so of course awkwardness ensues. It is a sweet little read that will have you wanting to consume it all in one sitting. It says it's two chapters, but it's actually the same chapter repeated- the first with proper punctuation and grammar, the second without it. I, of course, enjoyed the first because it hurt my head to look at the second. And that, dear friends, is why the word count doesn't match up with the official fic word count.

To deal with the boredom that sets in a week into his stay, he starts working at the local apple orchard, owned by twenty six year old Harry Styles. Louis quickly finds himself falling in love with the orchard, and he finds a family in Harry's friends Niall, Liam, and Zayn. He also starts to fall in love with Harry. Falling in love with him turns out to be the easy part.

KWGJ Says: The apple orchard fic! If you want light and fluffy, with a 'can't put this down' vibe, then this is the fic for you. There is nothing bad about this, everything is there for the taking and I really enjoyed immersing myself in the world of apple farming. The writing makes it seem idyllic, so I have to keep reminding myself the real deal is not so picturesque, it's a lot of hard work! (I still seem to want to find love on an apple orchard though... don't tell my husband!)

Such a fan favourite for a reason, Escape introduces us to Jack McQueen, Harry's escort alter ego. Louis needs a buffer for a mega wedding getaway with his family, and attractive Jack is it. Great fic. The author has chosen a Mature tag warning for this fic, but trust me- there is some steamy smut in there to keep you satisfied. If you have never read Escapade, do you even like Larry fan fic?

But their simple plan goes awry when he learns that Harry, ex-boyfriend/ ex-love of Louis' life, will also be in attendance. (aka: fake! boyfriends with a twist ft. bromance, romance and cake!)

It's so sad that Bottomlinsons deleted their fics because they were a fantastic writer. Obviously, some very good people have managed to maintain treasures like this, so the link here takes you to a dropbox link.

Ok, so Liam and Louis are good mates, Karen accidentally mistakes Louis from Liam's boyfriend he broke up with 3 weeks ago, ergo Louis has to accompany Liam to his sister's wedding to keep the parents happy. Only... Harry is there. Harry, Louis' ex. Hilarity ensues. It's a good fic. Definitely not one to be missed. And, if you are like me, and you still have times of the week, day or month where you miss Liam, I find reading him in fics is a nice way to remember him, because let's be honest- he is never written as an asshole. Just as his usual lovely and helpful (albeit intense at times!) self.

That wasn’t fair at all, and Louis immediately felt his blood pressure rise again once more. “I’m running?” His eyebrows were almost touching his hairline but he could hardly control it. “I’m running?” His voice was growing louder and louder in the lift as he straightened his back up tall again. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me, right?” He pushed Harry’s hand away off his chin and he sat down and pulled his legs up to his chest. “Harry, we had planned our whole lives together, our futures. And that was shattered in an instant. I wasn’t the one who was running! I was waiting- I waited! I waited for a fucking long time. I waited for answers, for you to come back, for the other shoe to fucking drop,” he ran his hands through his hair, exasperated that he had broken his angry facade. Tears, hot and painful prickled behind his eyes. “I waited for the person who had called himself my soulmate to remember what we had and come back. So no, no my feet are not sore.” He scoffed, and struggled to stand.

KWGJ Says: It's been a while! I was ridiculously busy being a mum to my children over the summer holidays and have negelected my fandom love, but I am here today and back shamelessly spruiking on of my own. I was hesitant to share my own work on this page to begin with, and then realised it's my page, and I can do what I bloody well want!

A labour of love, this tale had been on my mind and never giving me release until I finally sat down to write it. The idea first sparked when I heard the song 'Face in the Crowd' by Freya Ridings. (Did you know her Dad is the voice of Daddy Pig?!) And then I of course waited until I was ridiculously busy before attempting to write it. I'm quite proud of it!

Of course, the scene I chose above to give a little gimpse into the story was inspired by the classic meme of the boys fighting.

Right here, on a Friday night in London, Louis has happened upon the biggest douchebag in the history of the world. Surely he should contact someone. A record-keeping organisation or something. “You think I want an autograph,” Louis repeats slowly. Maybe if the guy hears the words back clearly enough he’ll comprehend the level of asshole he’s throwing out into the universe. It doesn’t work, Mr. Douchebag of the Century just smirks and leans into Louis’ space, well more into his space, “Mmhmm, we’ll have to go up to my Penthouse. That’s where I keep my pens.” or A fic based on 24k Magic by Bruno Mars, in which Harry's a mess and famous, Louis is a mess and not, Liam and Zayn are probably hiding something, and Niall is a horrible flatmate.

I have to laugh at my notes some days. "Great angst. Great smut. Well written, I didn't want this fic to end." Well thanks, past me. I suppose it really does sum up most things I'm interested in when I choose a fic, so I can't be too angry with myself!
