Have to post this cuz i have noone to tell this to rn, huge big fat TMI, sorry for the cursing and shitty spelling im just angry rn

Ok wtf, ive slowly realised my older siblings a bigoted bitch. Like ive grown up, developed a conscious and a set of morals at some fucking point then i realise the madness that he spouts, like what can i even do????

Ive tried to talk to him sometimes and hes the favriote fucking child so my mums not doing anything, but any time u critisize him for saying stupid stuff he just like “omg ur falling for the rage bait u fuckin idiot” and its just soooooo frustrating cuz i cant do shit and at the same time it feels like i havebt done nearly enough to fix it but how do i even fix it???? And it feels awful watching him get worse and worse, but he wont listen to me cuz im just his littke fucking sister. Someone older, probably that he respects( most likely a man cuz hes misogunistic now???) needs to help him out of it but like who?????

And i also wanna bash a chair across his head,again really sorry for the cursing and spelling im just angry rn cuz hes being worse than usual on the ps5 today

Just went on a crazy book week, i finished so many books i started a while ago, and these r my notes of the invisible life of addie larue and id give it a 4 star

-Likes:

- Luc/darkness and addies interactions/relationship

- Poetic at times

- Portrayal of henrys depression and anxiety and his struggles of finding his space and calling in life

- Interesting commentary on media, life, time, human interaction, ect.

- Really liked the ending

- Like the concept of Henry and addies relationship not being love/true love/soulmates(only insta-love I’ve liked)

- Addie is very self absorbed(her world, her narrative, her story) very enclosed??

- She is also small minded in the ways she wished to leave her mark(if she can't leave small marks she cannot comprehend bigger ones, esp how luc formed the curse yet lets her have her small wins, its to make her smaller in her own mind)

- Details of both curses and how they interacted with each other and the tragedy of it

-Dislikes/criticisms:

- Stronger characterisation for all characters(except luc but especially Robbie and Beatrice)

- At times repetitive and a tad bland but overall enjoyable, kinda showed the push and pull and Addie and luc

- BIGGEST ISSUE-So very Eurocentric

- Addie is very self absorbed(linked to the Eurocentric point)

- Didn't always love the romance aspect to luc and Addie(possibly due to him loosing his shadowy/godly nature in those scenes)but I liked it in the long run

Im a rinezha truther as much as the next guy but my god, they would never fucking be together, like ever. We already know post and during the war that they wouldnt of worked out and the sadness of it is that they only couldve back in sinegard when things were happy and cutesy.

But it absolutly fucking wasnt, without the war, they never wouldve been on the same side, not even for a second, they wouldnt of had even a semblance of common ground. Especially if u remmeber the fact that nezha “was”(and im saying that loosely) a classist prick and rin never stood for his bs, and he would be a billion times worse if he just continue living under the thumb of his father, carrying his pride of the yin name and probably rising teh ranks through nepotism. Their “rivalry”(again, loosely, he was a cunt, is a cunt) wouldve escalated much much futher and nezhas ideals wouldve probably rarely ever been challenged.

And at the end of the day, that just adds to the tradgedy of the fact, of it all. There is no past, way, or lifetime they wouldve ended up together. But thats just my two cents.

P.s. Omg i just finished listening to season one of the magnus archives,chills litteral chills i love this soooo gd much.

Just watched a video review of ppl discussing jade city and bero, despite my hatred of his actions and all round personality, he is a really good literary device and metaphor for the lower class and the masses.

Theres never gonna be a story about ppl in power in peace, no matter how grabd they look from below. Whether its a diplomacy and theyre easily replacable and betrayed by the plethora of others in power or a dictorship ,losing power due to cruelty or jealousy. There is never a moment of resolute peace because they dont truely hold the power-the masses do.

Bero is a personification of that,a personification of the decisions that regular ppl make that can breed doubt and highlight vulnerabilities in the higher classes facades in seconds. He is integral to the world, creating endless instability in the green bone society, driving the plot forward and showing the results and effects of the harmful ideologies the clans continuously perpetuate.

(Still hope he fucks off and dies tho)
