     a goddess untouched by death would have promised salvation at his end. tell the mourning how he would find her and peace in the world beyond this failing one. ( a goddess untouched would be a liar ) instead she takes a spot in the filth beside her. there’s nothing of him here, not anymore. “ leave who? is there a body among the ashes? or is he what you carry in your hands? your heart? would you leave him forgotten among these ruins with yourself? rise. ”

     words that rise and unfurl, ready to be lashed out like scortching flares in a desperate and sorrowful anger ( it is not the same ! he should be here and it isn’t the same ! IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN ! ), but they die with a sharp intake upon her tongue, now that eyes land upon her, this beacon of calm and sudden hope amidst the destruction and wreckage. ❝ no... ❞ she murmurs instead, barely a sound as she sinks into the force that guides her up, up, ash falling from her legs, daylight settling upon dirtied cheeks. ❝ he will never be forgotten. i won’t let him be erased. ❞ oh with her last breath would she scream how he was their last hope’s savior ! cloth is pressed between thumb and fingers, clutched tight as gaze falls back to the woman, though ahsoka harbours the distinct feeling she’s so much MORE than that. ❝ who ——— who are you ?  ❞

     “ there is too much loss here. ” an obvious statement as glacean steps through the rubble. heels echo too-loud in the aftermath of destruction, the path it carves through the heart of the last-safe city ( safe no longer, for all the smoke billowing into the sky. she prays for rain, for healing wing ) “ to linger is to invite death. more than what is meant to come. rise, and i will keep you safe. ” / @kybersung

     ash tainted fingers curl into the strip of cloth, the royal blue awash with the warmth of sunlight and the heat of a FALLEN CITY, clinging to the last vestiges of a belonging she’s never known ( FOR HEARTH AND HOME ! ). young form is crumpled, withering, and even the sudden arrival of a stranger cannot pull her gaze away, cannot bring her to arise from the grime that stains her knees and the rubble that towers above her, the skeleton of a once beautiful city. cannot realize just who she is in the very presence of ! ❝ i can’t leave him... ❞ he’s already gone, she knows this. the idiot, the HERO.

WANNA HELP KIDS SEE BLACK PANTHER AND GET A SWEET PROMO AS WELL? NOW IT YOUR CHANCE! 

There are a number of gofundme and other charitable campaigns going around to help black kids around the globe to see black panther - sadly, many of these campaigns end soon and are far from their goals. As someone who cares very deeply about film and representation, and as a white person who wants to take action as an ally, I want to do something, so, I am. 

For the next 24 hours, I’m offering promo graphics to anyone who donates $15+ CAD , the price of a movie ticket, to a campaign to let kids go see black panther - just show me a screenshot to prove your donation ( you may black out whatever info you’d like to to protect your privacy ) and boom, i’ll make you a promo graphic. 

what’s more - i’ll run a tally of how much people donate, and at the end of the 24 hours, i will match the total amount in a donation of my own, up to ~$500 CAD, likely dispersed between 2 or 3 campaigns, or to 1 that’s close to its end but far from its goal. That’s a very loose ~ by the way - but I’m still a broke intern so I can’t promise it’ll be like 2000 bucks more.

REQUESTS WILL BE OPEN FROM 4 PM PACIFIC STANDARD TIME (gmt -8) ON FRIDAY, FEB 16th, TO 4 PM PST ON SATURDAY, FEB 17th.
