Karma, a Steven Universe Future Animatic

i did this shit in 3 days holy fuck

In the occasion of Steven Finale, I wanted to do something after last weeks episode, as they hit me like no one other animated episodes has ever done before. No one ever made me understand better than steven that the lifelong consequences of untreated trauma can have on a person daiy life and personality. That’s why It made it so clear that even if the person we knowed all our life (Steven) always seemes so happy and optimistic, we might not know what really he’s been going through, and how much he actually needs help from others and from a  specialized figure.

I usually always pick my art to pieces but for once...I'm proud of myself

I'm so happy with how she look

I worked so hard on this piece, I work so hard on all the little details and trying to improve my shading

And I really think I came through 😭🙏

Updated Lucy in a fila hoodie

(Gotta hit a current trend while updating an OC lol)

I wasn't super set on her first update (the second slide) and her first design wasn't great. I really liked her hair style, but not the colors

So I decided to combine aspects from both designs and mesh them into this new one 😊

(Btw, her hair is only super long for the pic, it's normally to her mid back)

I really love the pose and how the shading

I'm overall pretty happy with the results and I really hope you all are too 😊

So let's unpack this

This was ORIGINALLY going to be a redraw of a pride pic I did last year

Then it changed into an "upgraded" version with different Oc's

Featuring Sophie and Violet who were going to be wearing their pride colors

But now it's almost August and I felt kinda dumb so their now just matching but still in a similar pose to the old pride picture TvT God help me

I'll do a pride pic of these besties I'm the future, but for now

I really hope you enjoy this 😭

(I'm not super pleased with how it turned out color wise but hopefully I'll do better next time I'm sad stressed go easy on me 🙏)

if you haven’t heard, tr*mp is refusing to help the postal service financially during this pandemic (and beyond) in an effort to starve it of funds/resources and kill it off so it can be privatized. also:

obviously this is not great, as tons of us rely on the USPS for all kinds of different reasons, and the privatization of this essential service would have a dramatic effect on the entire nation. namely: voting by mail would become nonexistent (❗️), and the cost of shipping mail and goods will change astronomically.

if this sounds terrible to you (and if you live in the us, then it should!), then text USPS to 50409 to sign the petition and instantly send a signed letter to your senators and representatives. it’s fast, easy, and it’s action that you can take right now.

the letter urges your senators to make the financial support of the USPS a priority, and outlines why the USPS is an essential service in our country that must be defended. here’s my letter:

don’t want to use the text service/send an electronic letter? mail a paper letter to your senator’s office.

you can also call your senators and house representatives at (202)224-3121 and urge them to support the USPS financially.

you can also buy a roll of stamps right now to help financially support the USPS on an individual level!

in conclusion: please take a minute to help support the USPS in any way you can. this is an important issue that affects all of us here in the US.
