You’re Lestibournes? I thought you were American
Tumblr media
I guess I am? Unless there's another Lestibournes I don't know on tumblr...🤔🤔. But yeah, I'm not american, I just talk in english so more people can understand me :) I've been learning it for a long time too, and it's a nice way to practice!

Amity attacked Fennus on rooftop, that's the best ending this book could’ve gotten.

The girls kissed, I think I can die in peace now. Really, everyone was rooting for them (Calamity, the gnome who played chess, and most importantly MYSELF and really every reader). It took them time, but I love them for realizing their love for each other.

STILL SOME SIGNIFICANT LEGENDS AND LATTES SPOILERS
Well, I guess having the cafe burning down couldn't be all horrible. I mean, at least Thimble got himself a new super cool oven... Jokes appart, the whole friend group building the cafe back together was really cute. It took them a lot of hard work, but not only did they manage to do it, it was even better than before! And apparently the scalvert stone was supposed to atract people together, not luck in a new buisness. So I hope Fennus is highly disappointed in his results.

Ok yeah, the coolest thing about Legends and lattes are definitely the side characters. It's just such a diverse cast of fun people interacting together. First, the Madrigal, an old lady who runs the local gang. There's also Thimble and Calamity, who I've already talked about. But Pendry, the shy bard who plays modern music, or even Hem, the student who used to only go there to work on his investigations but is slowly getting friendlier and more open to new flavours, or even the gnome who plays chess by (or with?) himslf just add a little something to the story.

Viv's friends came to visit her!!! Well, they came to help her sort the Madrigal things out, but they spent a nice afternoon together. Also the Madrigal is apparently an old lady, which was so unexpected but so fun. And the solution for Viv not wanting to pay her is just a weekly pastry shipment. This woman just wanted some sweets.

Oh, I don't think we can trust this Fennus guy. He gives off pretty bad vibes, and I don't like that passive-aggressive attitude he has going on. Viv also has the Madrigal thing to take care off (those guys are so annoying!), and now she has to deal with him? I don't know how she does this, cause if I were her I would've chosen violence as a solution a long time ago.

Okok, there's a huge cat arround the cafe, and it's now apparently kinda Viv's pet? It has its own corner to sleep in and everything. I think this girl atracts the most interesting people/ animals arround her, and I think that's really cool. She needs nice friends to relax with rather than people to kill.

I read some more of Legends & lattes and I have to talk about my favourite character so far. I know I said I liked Cal last time, but the cutest character has been introduced and I think it has surpassed him. I'm talking about Thimble, the little lovely mouse who bakes cinnamon rolls and loves coffee so deeply. He's just too cute. Every time he appears he makes me so happy, and I love how he carries big bags of flour by himself even tho they're big and concentrates on his work. He doesn't talk much as he's very shy, but every little interaction just marks a huge difference. Love him.

Ok, a bit of a change on topic since I had to leave the series I was reading unfinished (not for long, hopefully). But I've started a new book! It's Legends & Lattes, which I had heard lots of things about, but had never really got to read until now. For the moment, it looks simple, the main character is interesting and the story is promising (a cafe in a fantasy world!!). A character I do like a lot already is Cal (his name reminds me of Kal from stormlight, iykyk, but has nothing to do with him). He's fun and hardworking, he doesn't talk much, but he's nice. I don't think I have anything else to say about it for the moment, but I'll post some more about it as I read it.

I just finished the Shadow and Bone TV show for the 6th time or something like that (who's even counting at this point?), and it's still as fun as the first one. I had started it some time ago and had to stop for a while because I just had my university entrance exams (which went great for anyone who cares) and today I watched the last two episodes, but I wanted to highlight a few particular things. The first one is Nikolai, I just love how his character is portrayed on the show and how his actor plays him. He's one of the best characters in the Grishaverse and I just love it anytime he appears on screen. Secondly, the scene where Kaz and Inej are talking in the chappel on the last episode, when Inej asks him what he wants and he answers with "to die buried under the weight of my gold". We already know that line from the books, but the acting is just everything!!! The way he stops, thinks, tries to say something else and then decides to say that fucking phrase, and how his face changes from a hopeful and purely in love expresion to an "I don't fucking care, I'm so cool and have no feelings" face, is maddening, but also so 17 year old like. Finally, and there's spoilers for Rule of wolves here, I still think it was rude to kill David this early. I think it's rude to kill him period (my favourite character after Wylan), but let him and Genya be happy, at least for a little while! Oh, and I love how Jesper's always checking on Wylan and seeing if he's ok on the background. It's just lovely.
