i recently got a mannequin so i thought to do an updated post of my violet exact collection! 😁

(ignore that everything is SO wrinkled they’ve just been sitting in a box bc i recently moved house #violetharmonirl 🙈)

i am really specific about what i buy/would rather just save my money to by exacts so i haven’t really gone out of my way to buy alts over the years, but here are the few that i do have, the modcloth alt is my absolute favourite! 😊

i also wanted to use this post as an opportunity to remind new collectors to not feel discouraged if your collection is not as large as other people you see within the community.

it has taken me roughly five years to build my collection to what it is today and i couldn’t be happier, as i’ve taken the time to only purchase exacts in the specific size, colorway, price range & condition i’m looking for.

overconsumption is rampant in today’s society so i try to only buy exacts that i truly love & not just whatever is available at the time, as i prefer not to spend my money on things just for the sake of it/to keep up with other exact collectors collections.

i also try to ask myself when buying exacts “if it weren’t for violet would i still wear this” so that in future, i can still keep my exacts as a part of my wardrobe even if my love for violet dies out.

THIS!!!! i started smoking at 13 (fucking crazy i know) and wasn’t able to quit until last year. though the health of my lungs has improved greatly since and i’m not coughing shit up all the time anymore, i still have breathing complications that i’ll probably have to live with for the rest of my life (i smoked around half a pack a day every day for 4 years straight, hence why it affected my health so quickly) it’s not worth it guys i promise lol! i know in the moment you don’t think it’s all that bad and that you’ll be fine, but eventually you reach a point where your lungs become so fragile that even the tiniest bit of smoke will send you into a coughing fit that’ll leave you choking & gasping for air LOL (it was what made me quit for good) (it’s not worth getting so sick all over a silly little cigarette) so yeah 😁 #violetharmonfansquitsmokingcigaretteschallenge #smokingnotcool #youwilldie ❤️

(also i feel like i have to clarify that when i started smoking at 13 it wasn’t to be like violet, but because i don’t have the best home environment and was being enabled to do so by a parent lmao😭)

hey so this is a fucking horrible thing to do to somebody!!! i know most people in the violet harmon fandom struggle with mental health issues in some way or another, however behaviour like this is never justifiable. imagine how scary it’d feel having this happen to you, having your whole identity stripped of you. i can’t even imagine how much anxiety this would cause me. i feel for kaylynn deeply and hope that she is coping okay through all of this. i also hope for maddy/maddison to get well enough soon to realise the gravity of her actions and take accountability. in conclusion: just think before you do things and practice basic empathy guys. ❤️

i enjoy old things quite a lot, at the moment my main areas of interest are in: gothic architecture, silent film era (georges méliès films are my fav), skeleton keys, children’s books & toys from the 40s-70s, taxidermy, postcards, and vintage fashion/lingerie from the 40s-70s.

i also cosplay, i just don’t post it on the internet very much, my favourite anime are: kamisama kiss, vampire knight, nana, paradise kiss, love live, k-on, the future diary and chobits.

my main/oldest special interest is japanese fashion subcultures! (lolita, mori kei, fairy kei, dolly kei and cult party kei to be specific)

i don’t game regularly but my favourite games/game franchises are: american mcgees alice & madness returns, fran bow, sally face, little misfortune, stray, silent hill, elder scrolls, resident evil, skyrim, bloodborne, life is strange, the walking dead, the last of us and batman: arkham knight.
