Rook: Hello!
Harding: *hmmph*
Rook: …is something wrong?
Harding: Is something wrong? You told me that I was too small to be in the Veilguard!
Rook: I… don’t think I did
Harding: No? Because I clearly remember it happening. We were in the Skyhold war room, and Solas was there, and you said we were all out of cheese but there was clearly cheese there and then…. wait
Rook: keep going
Harding: say…is there a chance that you can meet people you know but it’s in a dream so it didnt actually happen
Rook: I don’t know, maybe you’re dreaming right now
Harding: don’t do this to me Rook

my desire to have a friendship like theirs reminded me that it's not just friendship and that I'm just gay
i fully believe neve comes back to the team even tho she fully could've just stayed in dock town was bc of bellara. i have no evidence for this. this is purely just vibes. anyway she misses her "girlfriend that doesn't know they're dating because clearly this is what normal friendships are like between women"

Lucanis deserved better. He had zero character growth. His story in Tevinter Nights was about how he became Caterina's puppet, obeying her every order, even at the cost of his own death. In the game, he never stood up against her. He folded and accepted the role of First Talon. A role he never even wanted.
Lucanis knows nothing about politics or how to be a leader. He will get assassinated or he should give up his position. In the game he tells us he is First Talon is name, but Caterina is still the boss. This makes Lucanis look like a very weak First Talon, who has zero control. Lucanis was right in Tevinter Nights about Illario being a better candidate to First Talon.
Caterina won in the end. She got what she wanted. There should have been an option for Lucanis to reject this promotion. To show everyone he is no longer Caterina's puppet.
Lucanis deserved better.

as a late-dog mom, I can attest that this account is true and factual.
There's this thing about how you shouldn't cuddle a foal when they're small because they turn into 1500 pound adults who still think they can sit in your lap and like. Davrin and Assan. Davrin knew that he shouldn't let Assan sleep in the bed with him and drape himself over Davrin's knee and he KNEW he shouldn't have let Assan keep doing that jumping thing when he was excited. Now he's got a teenage griffin who's taller than him on four legs who he periodically wakes up to crushing his ribcage. He's had to replace three chairs. He's going to have premature back problems, not from hauling around heavy weaponry all day but because Assan still LAUNCHES himself into Davrin's shoulders when excited. Assan does learn, eventually, though not before Davrin's bed snaps in two in the middle of the night, a romanced Rook possibly also a casualty--both of them waking up to a chaos of squawks, feathers, and their own tangled limbs.

Davrin: So should I worry about Spite hurting Rook since you two are a thing?
Lucanis: I already have my own worries, don’t start with me.
Emmrich: Oh I wouldn't have any worries Davrin. Spite is infatuated with Rook, though I understand setting boundaries since he wouldn't be familiar with human courting rituals.
Lucanis: Meirda, sometimes I forget you can hear him. Trust me, I'm working on that.
Davrin: No one at this table is normal.
Lucanis: Says the man who drank darkspawn blood, to kill said darkspawn.

Deliver Us Unto Darkness - Chapter 1 / ?? : Ghosts of the Chantry
Summary: Hazel, a former ordained sister turned exorcist, receives a bloodstained letter from her long-estranged ex-lover, summoning her back to the Harper’s Ford Chantry after a decade of silence. Disturbed by the message, she turns to her trusted friends, Rook and Neve, for counsel. Together, they decide to journey to the Chantry to uncover the truth. However, just before they depart, Neve is forced to withdraw and suggests that Lucanis accompany them instead. With unresolved emotions and an ominous mystery awaiting them, Hazel sets out for the Chantry, uncertain of what she will find.

Preview:
He tore feverishly at the leaves growing from the floorboards, stuffing them into his mouth as though they were the only thing keeping him grounded. The Chantry—once a haven of peace—was now a twisted labyrinth, pulsing with unseen watchers. The walls breathed. The Veil stirred. The Maker had long since turned away.
He ran, the weight of his past pressing against his chest like a phantom hand. Left, right, left again—was this the same hallway? Had he been here before? The corridors shifted, pulling him deeper into their embrace.
And then, the letter.
A name, whispered into the void. Hazel.
A choice, one he could no longer run from.
A shadow, waiting in the dark.
And the past, rising from the floorboards like roots to claim him once more.
