Many of you know that my LEGO train modeling is split between "normal" trains, and the Railway Series books on which Thomas the Tank Engine was based.
I've been overhauling my character models recently and embarked on a twofold project I'm excited about. Firstly, the painting of wheels - IRL the flanges are unpainted metal which is a look I wanted to replicate. Many thanks to Breckland Bricks for custom printing a batch in Light Bluish Grey for me to experiment with.
Furthermore, the number one question I get from kids at shows is "where are the faces?" So I've commissioned @seaswine to sculpt faces for the characters, styled on the original book illustrations, and I must say I'm delighted with the result! :D

Like, she came up with the concept of Amaya being a little woman and considering Disney referencing the typically goofy and fantastical portrayal in the Seven Dwarves, it'd be lovely to see more of them included as actual humans in their films
