i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.
#so many peoples response to this is that it is still annoying#like obviously??#it can still be annoying or overstimulating without it being the child’s fault#genuinely if you are someone who is actively bothered all the time by children in public rationally thinking about their experience helps#coming from someone who is overstimulated easily and isn’t thrilled by children screaming in public#but i’m never angry at the child?? and taking a second to process and empathising with what’s happening actually makes it easier#making the child or stimulus that is bothering you your enemy is never a good idea trust me#anyway peace and love hope everyone can learn to be more tolerant and kind to the human beings around you

for a while i got emily henry and colleen hoover mixed up in my brain so was confused whenever i heard people saying good things about beach read and put off reading it but i just finished it emily henry i’m so sorry queen that one was really on me
#obviously when i started reading it i had realised that she was in fact a different woman to colleen hoover#but i still went in knowing nothing about her (still know nothing other than reading the book) so i thought it still could have been bad#anyway i loved it#not a perfect book but still very enjoyable and spent the entire day today thinking about it before i had time to read

having a health issue that is affected by medical misogyny sucks because not only is there not enough research but absolutely every single doctor i talk to has a different opinion and absolutely none of them help me in any way
#to be fair at least half of them have been nice and sympathetic#but i don’t want sympathy i want to have an actual decent quality of life#i just have no idea what to even think tbh#one doctor says na you don’t have PCOS the next says yeah you probs do the one after that says idk bestie#i want to screammmmm#anyway i asked to be referred to a gynaecologist maybe they will know what they are talking about but likely not#:)#btw if you have been diagnosed with either PCOS/PMS/PMDD pls send me an ask with advice or anything#i’m in the pits

my biggest shock of 2024 is that i have been consistently reading again and also enjoying it…insert adventure time ‘i’m me again, feels like it’s been years’ audio
#i have read 7 books this year#that is more than the last 3 years combined for me#honestly it’s mostly driven by the fact my sister gave me her old e-reader#and i finally fully get the e-reader life#it’s so convenient

at the age of 22 the first place i have ever been recognised as a regular at is the local community gardens where i have never actually seen anyone under the age of 40 at…love this for me
#you go to a community garden every week to stop yourself from jumping off a cliff due to seasonal depression#and then suddenly the local senior gardeners know who you are#life comes at you fast#i am actually not upset at this at all#especially because i am in my gardening era hardcore now#also i am literally planning to become a member of the local gardens lmao#they give you the code to get in any day of the week for only £12 a year what a steal

2 months later and i have finished my merlin rewatch. over a month of that time was spent watching season 5 because i forgot how bad and hard to get through it was
thinking of regressing to my 10 year old self and rewatching all of bbc merlin
