It started with a joke.

When it comes to God, we really need to expect the unexpected :)

My mom had the chance to talk to her co-workers these past few days. One of them was now a head nurse in Hollywood. My mom always tell me stories about him. My mother said that a few years back, his friend had started a charity foundation in Ilocos which aims to help the people live a comfortable life. She also said that they were bestfriends way back, until now.

This year, mom said that her friend will be coming back here in the Philippines for a visit. My mom jokingly said to him, "Pasalubong ha! Kahit laptop lang. (Bring me home something! Maybe a laptop.)" We thought her friend would just laugh at my mom's joke but we were surprised by his reply - "Sige! Anong brand ba? Padalhan kita pagdating ko dyan. (Sure! What brand do you prefer? I will bring you home one.)" Then I was like, BOOM. What just happened. Hahaha.

After that, I also told my mom to tell him to pay my tuition for Prelims. Hahaha. Though my mom didn't really told him that, but she did tell him that I will be taking my Prelim exams. After that, he told my mom that if we would have any problems regarding my tuition fee, he would be more than willing to give assistance. And then he said something that really made my heart skip a beat. He promised my mom that he will be the one who will shoulder my tuition fee, not just for the Prelim exams, not just for this semester, but until I get that 3 letter acronym in my name, CPA :") That was really unexpected. Soooooo unexpected! I don't know what to say, I am really overwhelmed. <3

Then I was reminded of my prayer request for two years now, financial provision for my family. Then I thought, WOW, God just answered my prayer :') I didn't expect that through my mom's friend will He answer that. And I also didn't expect that His answer would be that BIG. Unexpectedly so BIG . Now, I have nothing to do but to be thankful because of God's faithfulness <3

God is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of - infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires thoughts or hopes.

- Ephesians 3:20

Let us always remind ourselves that God's ability to bless us is greater that what we could ever desire. No eye has seen, no ear has heard the depths of His love for us. So always believe God for more in our lives. God is our Father, one of His greatest desire is to bless us and provide for us. <3

"You do not have because you do not ask. When you ask, you do not receive because you have the wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures."

Always have that audacious faith to ask God for what you need. And as long as your desire is in line with God's plan for you and the people around you, He will certainly give it to you :) More than that, believe that God will give it to you. BELIEVE. :)
