So I finished One Of Us Is Lying and I have some thoughts

*SPOILERS*

- Why doesn’t Nate have AND I QUOTE FROM THE BOOK ‘messy dark hair and ratty leather jacket’????

- Janae SHOULD have known what happened to Simon. Then her storyline would be more obvious.

- Also Maeve and Janae? No Janae and Addy all the way that was so random Maeve literally didn’t need to be in the show, what was her purpose? also her hair annoyed me

- Cooper & Keely’s relationship was so much healthier even though it was a fake dating relationship they were a nice dynamic

- JAKE DARING SIMON???? no. Simon I QUOTE AGAIN ‘hated my life and everything in it. So I decided to get the hell out. But not go quietly.’ Jake needed to be an accomplice to get Addy in the picture but NOT AS A DARE AND LET HIM DIE.

- Did they actually explain why Simon hated Bronwyn, Cooper and Nate? ‘ He knew Bronwyn cheated and it pissed him off.’ Cooper got him blacklisted from a party. Nate stole Keeley away … But that was never established.

- Nate causing Janae to OD? damn that was too much for me to handle

 - I wanted the car crash. Not the streakers.

- Vanessa? There were so many insignificant storylines.

-Where. Was. Ashton. She was amazing.

- Addy didnt have purple hair. Sadness.

- Why did Jake die. That wasn’t necessary and also they just? stood there? 

- Kris and Cooper >>>>>>>>>> also Coop and Addy’s friendship >>>

- Think the whole Cooper at lunch scene should have happened. 

- What happened to Nate & Bronwyn? Like yes B had her ‘I can’t go a few minutes without wanting to kiss you’ monologue but we needed more from them cause that scene when Nate is at her house at night? Perfection.

reo, isagi, and nagi as that scene between korra and mako “im with asami now” “yeah but when you’re with her, you’re thinking about me, aren’t you?” but instead of the korra the rizz bender, it’s the unbearably awkward scene that was actually in the show

the last two games (ubers & pxg) are gonna be so insane i can't wait

the way that i see it, from both anime visualization and overall themes, it's them being metaphorically locked into blue lock. they're chained to their resolves of becoming the best striker. in the anime, the chains snap around their necks when they were admitted into blue lock- simply meaning there was no going back now.

i think with the world class players such as kaiser and ness, it's a little different for them. kaiser's shackles are clear which i think means he's not necessarily locked in as the blue lockers are, but he does have similar resolve- to be the best. ness' chains have blue roses weaved into them which i think showcases his devotion to kaiser. and they look like any other blue locker's chains, but looking at his character, it means something different from theirs. ness is chained to bastard as he is their beating heart and the blue roses symbolizing his connection to kaiser.

ego has chains as well, which i think is pretty interesting. i think its showing how he's the connecting force between the blue lockers as he has multiple chains coming from him. it could also be him locked into HIS resolve of CREATING the best, rather than BEING the best.

oliver's a little harder to argue. he IS technically a part of blue lock now but his cover came out way before that. i guess it could be seen as, since he's pulling on his chains, he's fighting back against the authority that shut him down as a striker. bear with me, i never really thought about the symbolism for oliver's volume cover so i jus came up with this on a whim soooo

sae is also a little tricky cause his chains are glowing and decaying. the chain links closes to the collar thingie are decaying while the ones farther away are glowing. similar to oliver, i never really thought about sae's volume cover like this so this is all on a whim so bear with me. i think it could be connected to how sae's resolve to be a striker crumbed when he was away and he found a new resolve and dream elsewhere in another position. again, this was on a whim so if i completely missed the mark uuuhhhh you didnt see this

basically, from the way i personally see it, it really varies on the character that's being showcased.

blue lockers- being chained to blue lock and their resolves to become the best. there is no going back for them now.

kaiser- not necessarily being chained to blue lock specifically, but still chained to the same resolve of becoming the best

ness- chained to his team as he is their anchor, devotion to kaiser through visualization of the blue roses in the chains

ego- the connecting force between all blue lockers, the main hub, also chained down to his resolve of CREATING the best

oliver- fighting back against authority, becoming the best defender to crush all fowards

sae- decaying chains to represent his dying dream and the glowing chains for his new resolve and ideals

honestly i love watching an insane power scaler being a public menace cause his country sucks ass (blue lock)

uhhh blue lock ramble cause i've been sitting on this thought since we found out bm vs ubers was the next game so

blue lock neo egoist league and u20 game spoilers

this is gonna sound really stupid cause of how obvious it is but i'm really really happy ego merged u20 with blue lock, specifically because of oliver LIKKEEE it's what he wanted from the beginning :(

he wants these kids to grow and he's more than happy to help them. the reason why he turned away from being a striker was because of the adults that snubbed his potential. they didn't allow him to play the kind of soccer he wanted and it killed him.

he REFUSES to allow these kids to get snubbed and cut the same way he was. he pushes himself to his own limits to push blue lock back in return. he WANTS blue lock to beat him in his prime, or else, what do they have to show for this ridiculous project?? if they can't crush the best defender in the country, they have no shot in becoming the best in the world.

now that he is apart of blue lock with BLOOMING talent with niko as a defender and barou as a striker, he's seeing both paths. the path he took, and the path he did not.

niko's becoming a defender with the same resolve he had. to crush forwards.

and barou is getting told the same things he was. barou's physique is insane and he was a center piece of the team he played on before coming to blue lock. barou moved his team around like a tyrant and scored on his own, but oliver??? oliver was the one helping HIS team score.

now that oliver is able to play with niko and barou, i'm sure he's helping both of them evolve and bloom, even if they (barou) won't want it. i'm like 100% sure niko wouldn't hesitate to work with oliver because of how good his defense is and niko wants to become a defender ssoooo

barou definitely doesn't want his help though 💀 he's probably gonna have to go isagi on him and force it and manipulate him butttt we'll see

anyways yea i'm really happy oliver is technically a part of blue lock now and i'm glad he has an opportunity to actually extend a hand out to those who are blooming. pxg might have the most up and coming strikers but ubers most definitely has the most up and coming defenders.

i wish we could've seen more of the pxg vs ubers game considering how stacked both of them are and balancing each other out in defense and offense. considering they were both able to score on each other MULTIPLE TIMES (rin twice!?!) is actually insane

i reaallyy want oliver's full potential to be reached and i really hope he helps the rest of the blue lockers on ubers develop more both as defenders and strikers (since he has experience as a striker as well) it could be a very interesting dynamic (big bro oliver is REAL TO ME) and yeah i'm just really happy ollie's still around :,) i can't wait to see him again
