Unlike Pikachu, who live in social groups raising their young Pichu together, Raichu prefer a solitary lifestyle.

Raichu become agressive if they store too much electricity ; this doesn't mesh well with young Pichu, who can't control their electricity output and regularly zap other Pokemon on accident. To avoid conflict, a Pikachu exposed to a Thunder Stone will leave their birth group soon after evolving.

As they're bigger and stronger, Raichu can survive on their own, and they don't seem to miss their gregarious life too much. Nonetheless, it has been observed that Raichu encountering Pikachu or Pichu will rarely attack, and sometimes even join a new group if it's small enough and doesn't have many young Pokemon.

Remember my Flokédex ? It's a project I started back in 2018, in which I wanted to create my version of Pokedex entries in the format of a field journal.

It's been a long time since the last time I did an entry, but I still have many headcanons about Pokemon, and hope to share more of them.

An old drawing, but I still like it.

It's been eight years and this ship still has my soul in a vice grip. I want to see these two old men be toxic to each other in so many ways.

My work schedule has changed slightly since the end of summer. Unfortunately, that slight change leaves me even less time than before to write and draw. On top of that, I'm looking for lodging closer to my workplace, and it's taking me a lot of time and energy.

I don't have time to finish a piece each week like before, not unless I sacrifice personal time and force myself to rush things, both of which are a terrible idea.

I don't want to give up on drawing, writing and sharing either; not when I still have do many ideas, and have grown used to a regular posting schedule to keep me motivated.

So for now, I'll try a new schedule: from now on, I'll post something every two weeks.

So next drawing will be post on either Wednesday the 25th or Friday the 27th, and next writing will be posted on Sunday the 29th.

If I still can't maintain that rhythm of publication, I'll default to another one :

WIP on Wednesday each week

New fic/chapter once a month on a Sunday

New drawing once a month on a Friday or Saturday.

Hope you will be understanding ^^ believe me when I say I wish I could have the time to stick to the old schedule 8(

Rumor has it that Mario would make a frighteningly competent villain if he had any ounce of evil in it.

It's a good thing he doesn't. But does it mean he is above mischief and petty revenge? Certainly not, as Bowser is going to learn soon enough.

3 important pieces of information for this drawing :

The real Caesar truly loved his horse. I don't know how he called it, but Asterix!Caesar definitely would name his horse something cool like Olympus.

One of my fave headcanons with @calimera62 and @amethystsworld is Caesar teaming up with the Gauls for different reasons. In this particular scenario, he needs to conceal his identity even from his Roman peers...which isn't helped by how his two travelling companions (three if you count Dogmatix) are the loudest, clumsiest idiots he's ever met. Which means sometimes, drastic measures are needed. Like...

When it comes to Catloversshipping, they exist in a curious mix and match of the games and anime in which @isamajor and I pick and choose whatever I want to fit my headcanons.

And when it comes to Team Rocket, they either are always in missions far far away from Alola to the point of never interacting directly with Giovanni and Nanu, or they're right behind them trying to help the Boss "get that old geezer!"

Except they're so useless Nanu finds them hilarious and half-adopts them in his own distant, apparently uncaring way. They're like Team Skull but with the added bonus of pissing off Giovanni by ruining his dramatic boss moments, what's not to like?

Some studies I did over the last weeks.

My sister's birthday is coming up...and what better gift to your younger sibling than a fursona 😜?

Joke aside, there's a meaning for both the fox character, the sax, the overalls and a couple of other details I haven't drawn yet. But since all of it is pretty challenging (why did it have to be a sax of all instruments??), I'm training bit by bit until I can work on the real drawing.

(Please for real if you have any tips to draw anthro foxes or saxophone I'm all ears).

It started as a lineless experiment...but Posca and thin paper don't exactly mix (at least in my case), so screw it, let's go back to think lineart, the way I love them.

In any case, this week, I really, really wanted to draw one of my fave Pokemon of all time. When Sun & Moon were first announced, I knew I had to get the lion legendary 'Mon.

Because it was a beautiful, poetic description perfectly summarising what I love about the ship Asterix/Caesar...and the only thing missing was Getafix Knowing and Obelix being slightly confused but ultimately a very supportive best friend.
