Something small and fluffy catches his attention. Louis looks for it in alarm, sharp blue eyes flitting around until he hears slight purring.

There, curled on top of a pillow on the cream couch is a small cat. A kitten, perhaps, with silky white fur and a pink nose. It stares at him curiously as it lounges on its back.

When Harry returns, he watches the two of them wordlessly until the kitten catches wind of him. Then, she stretches onto her paws, prowling towards him. Perched on the edge of the couch, Harry carries her carefully in his arms, fingers gliding over her pristine coat as she nuzzles into him. He's changed, out of his trousers and in a new robe. Louis wonders what he's got on underneath, then burns when the cat yowls loudly, almost like she knows what he's thinking of.

Surprisingly, Harry breaks the silence. "This is Sylvia."

"Sylvia?"

What an odd name for a cat.

"Yeah," Harry nods, fingers rubbing under her chin. "Named after Plath. The writer."

Eventually, there's nowhere else for Harry to turn. Rigid and poised like a statue, he stands at the edge of the treeline, overlooking the lake like the night before. Deja vu of some sort comes to mind.

"Harry, god," Louis takes in his clothes. Tan trousers resting upon prim black loafers, uncreased and brand new. Hours ago, they probably still had the tag on. What really makes Louis frown is his blouse. Garish, it is. Muted lilac, not grey but could be. Plissé chiffon that hangs loose off his arms, and rests upon his waist. The layers so thin, Louis can see the pale expanse of his skin underneath, if he were to touch he'd feel the heat radiating from his ribs; could press his palms over the jutted backbones and watch the blood drip. Louis can see the dark colouring of his nipples in the right lighting. It's absurd. The wind is no friend.

Louis wonders if this is how Harry gets his fun, playing with his life on the line. Dressing something so morbid in beautiful clothes; dressing for death. Does he count the days till the cold creeps in and cuts off air?

"What are you wearing? You'll catch your death in that!"

"Maybe I want to."

Harry's savior complex has often led him to rather questionable situations, but this might take the cake. When a miscalculated decision leads to an accidental courtship with the sweetest, most gentle alpha, Harry is torn between breaking the alpha's heart and telling the truth. Yes, Louis does seem to give unorthodox courting gifts, but he is rather endearing and Harry is just an omega, after all.

When he is not around and Harry needs to feel more grounded, steady on his own feet, he thinks of Louis. It's probably not healthy to rely on someone this heavily, but it's better than nothing. It's what he has right now. And, right now, it's working.

Is thinking about that feeling, the feeling of being real, being alive, that he whispers – without thinking – those two words. — "Hurt me."

Harry needs to feel something, even if it's pain. Louis gives what he needs.

He walked back into the office as Louis growled.  He was busy cleaning his glasses as he stormed after him. “You’re a jealous prick, you know that?” Liam made an odd whimpering sound as he stood and exited the room.  “Now you’ve done it.” Harry muttered, dumping more files on the desk.  “Me? You’re the one –” “I’m not letting other men kiss me.” “Jesus, it was a peck on the cheek.” Louis wasn’t even annoyed over the argument, in fact, it was kind of turning him on. Which was infuriating.

Hi everyone, @cc-horan28 and I are looking for our next saviour. Aka, the person crazy enough to be our beta.

The fic is almost finished, almost 60,000 words, at the moment we'd have to reread the first 100 pages. Someone who can check the grammar and warn us if there's something missing in the plot, or serious plot holes. But above all, correct the spelling mistakes.

Quick word on the story: Harry is a witch, Louis is his familiar, but refuses to tell him. This is the story of how they find each other.

Warning: there's going to be some smut at some point, it'll be Dom Harry. I'd also like to point out that the story will depict a Louis who has been bullied and who lacks self-esteem.

Oh, and we need someone who might be available like now... coz’ the deadline is the Mid August
