I worked closely with hosts and editors to expand on and polish the podcast’s look in time for the summer premiere of its second season.  This involved both updating and reimagining existing assets as well as generating new imagery keeping with the aesthetic of the show.  Deliverables included cover art, intro and outro cards, social media cutdowns, chapter headings, and borders.

‘Between 2 Layers’ is a podcast on all things web3 gaming.   Hosted by Robbie Ferguson and Carly Reilly, Between 2 Layers tackles the ever changing web3 landscape and highlights the best of rapidly expanding web3 gaming universe.

Immutable is a global leader in gaming on a mission to bring digital ownership to every player by making it safe and easy to build great web3 games.

Chapter Headers

Phase two of the project involved creating new title cards for the show’s various segments.  I created a toned down version of the intro’s transition so as not to distract from the colorful backgrounds provided by the client. 

The various graphic elements seek to add to the playful but high tech energy of the podcast.  The outlines, fills, and blurs drive a deeper connection between the text and the background while implying layers and physical depth, once again speaking to the title of the show.  

Video Borders

In the final phase of the project,  I retooled assets from the intro animation to create glowing borders to overlay varying numbers of video feeds. This effect is often used on guests of the podcast and gaming demos.

For over 50 years, Texas Monthly has graced the Lone Star State with vivid storytelling and expert advice.  In celebration of their 50th anniversary, Texas Monthly collaborated with Arts and Labor to ask its readership what exactly they love about this complex and magical place.  

Made in collaboration with art directors, Victoria Andres and Celine Lassus, this Valentine’s Day special puts the voices of real Texans front and center to express their love for state and all it has to offer.

Hi All! <3

I made this blog because I'm in a bottleneck of finishing new projects before getting the chance to add them to my site. I'm also porting everything from Cargo to Readymag (it's gonna be epic). I'm hoping to throw images, process shots, scans, inspiration, and musings in here and just linking to the posts on my main site when applicable. Yay!

I know putting your portfolio on Tumblr of all places is a liiiittle unorthodox.. but hear me out: Levity. Authenticity. Nostalgia. FUN!
