Hey everybody!

My queue has officially run out.

In the past two months I have started a brand new full time career AND bought my first ever house! My life has gotten crazy and I am incredibly busy. Between work and figuring out moving logistics I have not had a lot of time for anything, let alone the internet.

I just wanted to pop in here and say that I am still here. I will still be checking this blog and responding to my messages and stuff. I am not officially leaving, just taking a break while I get my life sorted out. I may occasionally post if I see something right when I pop in but expect activity to slow to a stop for a while.

But either way if anyone wants to chat or has questions I will still see them :)

Cave fish time!!

Cryptotora thamicola or the waterfall climbing cave fish are extremely rare, found in only eight caves on the border of Thailand and Myanmar. Like most cave fish they are blind and pigmentless but what makes them special is there ability to cling to walls and climb up flowing water.

I found this newborn / stillborn whitetail fawn on the edge of the woods the other day after seeing some vultures flying around. It was fresh then and had been partially eaten, most likely by the resident pack of coyotes—I'd heard them having a fit the night before like they were after something. Checked on it again today and found the skull already mostly clean.

Tiniest little deer skull I've ever seen. Took a few photos then left it with the rest of the remains to go back to nature. <3
