IT’S OKAY TO REPLY TO THREADS AND ASKS “LATE”.  THERE’S NO TIME LIMIT. 

Please DON’T stress yourself out thinking there is a time constraint on these things because there ISN’T.  Reply when you have muse, when you have time, when you’ve taken care of yourself!  But please don’t be afraid to take MONTHS to reply to something!  We all write at different paces!  We all have a life outside of rp!

Writing is a hobby!  It’s not a job, and you’re not obligated to reply to any one thread or ask for any reason!  

It’s okay if you forget about them or if you lose them, too!!  You’re HUMAN.  You’re not perfect, and no one should expect you to be!! 

THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO IS TAKE YOUR TIME.  Roleplaying is a hobby, and if you’re not having fun then it takes out all the joys and magical experiences that can be had!!  The relationships you can form between muses and the friends you can make as writers! 

Not feeling muse for one thread? that’s okay!! want to start another even though we already have 5 going on? THAT’S OKAY, TOO!!  Need to drop one? DON’T SWEAT IT!! YOU come FIRST.  As my rp partner, I want you to put yourself first above this site, above any relationships we’ve formed, any plots we’ve fleshed out! 

I want you to have FUN.  So PLEASE don’t stress! You’re okay, and there’s no such thing as replying ‘late’.  You reply on your own time.  The thread isn’t going anywhere!

I am always wanting to write Rated R material threads but I’m never sure of who would be comfortable doing so. Can roleplayers please reblog this post if you are fully comfortable writing mature subjects in your threads? { Blood, gore, murder, alcohol and drug use, hack&slash etc. } I’d like to find out by this post who IS comfortable with these types of roleplays rather than making someone uncomfortable just by asking. Thank you!

To start off how about some nesting hcs?

The places in which an omega can fit a nest is amazing at times. Some climb into the space beneath their bed, others in their closets, it's not uncommon for even an bathtub to be used.

Some wealthy omegas can afford whole rooms for just their nests.

Cooling pads, fans, air conditioning units, they're all popular additions to a nest. Omegas have higher body temperatures in general, and during heat it's damn near unbearable.

In some countries rush mats are used as flooring for nesting rooms. It's common in eastern countries, but is becoming increasingly popular elsewhere.

Some omegas nest with friends of family members. It's a great sign of trust and love between two omegas.

This isn't a hc really, but imagine little omega pillow fights 💛💛💛

There's a popular chain of stores, similar to Build-a-bear, where one can make specific stuffed animals and pillows for nests. They put a special strip of scented fabric in them, usually from an important person in the recipients life, but they can also just be nice scents. Also, little recorded messages from ones loved ones or alpha purrs are a great choice!

It's a popular courting gift for suitors to make their omega a pillow or plush while courting. A bit bold though if it's scented and you're not mates.

i am a slow roleplayer. not only do i get distracted easily, i get overwhelmed easily. sometimes i can’t talk and do drafts at the same time so i am sorry if i ignore your message. i am deliberate and methodical with every word choice. i like to spend my time on my writing and getting to that emotional level within myself to evoke a proper response with each reply. i’m not good at whipping out thread after thread. i never have been. i’m sorry if that’s the way you roleplay and i don’t match up, but i like to think the quality of the writing makes up for my lack of speed. thank you so much!

petition  to  kill  the  stigma  that  shipping  should  be  looked  down  on  or  considered  less  than  other  writing  subjects.  i  see  it  all  the  time  on  my  dash,  on  blogs,  in  tags,  “this  blog  isn’t  just  for  shipping!!”  or  “i  don’t  mean  just  romantic!!”  and  even  i  catch  myself  all  the  time  writing  apologies  for  reblogging  something  related  to  shipping  or  talking  about  shipping  on  my  own  blog,  like  it’s  something  to  be  ashamed  of.  and.  i  think  that’s  stupid.  i’ve  had  more  development  with  my  muses  through  their   relationships with  others  than  any  other  avenue  of  development.  ships  help  SO  MUCH  in  shaping  a  character’s  personality,  determining  how  they  act  in  situations  with  different  people.  like,  i  don’t  know  why  we  all  have  to  make  such  a  big  deal  about  shipping.  i  like  to  ship.  i  like  to  write  ships.  i  like  to  write  romantic  ships  and  i’m  not  sorry  about  it.  and  nobody should  make  you  feel  like  you  should  be sorry  about  it.

Character development doesn’t refer to character improvement in a moral or ethical respect. It refers to broadening the audience’s understanding of that character, giving the character a deeper background, clearer motivations, a unique voice.

Developing a character is about making them seem more like a real person, and real people are flawed. Real people make mistakes. They repeat mistakes. They do things other people don’t agree with. Real people are more than just ‘good’ or ‘bad’ and character development is about showing all of those other aspects of them.

Their interests and hobbies. The song that gets stuck in their head. The fact that their vacuum broke 3 months ago and they haven’t gotten it fixed yet. All of those details help build out the character and develop them more.

And yes, characters change as stories progress but that doesn’t mean they get ‘better’ in a strict moral sense. It means that their experiences change the way they interact in the world you’ve written for them. Just like real people do.

hi i just want everyone to know that i will never ever EVER be angry with anyone for not replying to my texts even though you’re visibly online and reblogging/posting. i understand that holding a conversation takes a lot more energy and effort than scrolling and posting and that’s 100% okay. take care of yourself first. the whole idea that you HAVE to reply to someone when you’re online is toxic and makes mentally ill people feel as though they are bad friends just because they can’t always reply within minutes.
