The EU is trying to pass stricter copyright laws, aka Article 13. The big companies will cater to the strictest laws and deal out the same thing everywhere, meaning wherever you are, your social media will follow the EU’s new rules. 

THIS AFFECTS THE ENTIRE INTERNET, and it is in its FINAL STAGES.

It means almost every YouTube channel/user of any social media using something that isn’t theirs is on the chopping block. This means the death of our fanart, fan theory videos, gaming channels, and most of all, our memes.

If you’re in Europe, talk to your MEPs. 

If you’re an enjoyer of the internet, spread the word.

TL;DR: Europe’s Article 13 is trying to kill memes and content creators AROUND THE GLOBE, and we’re running out of time. Spread the word.

To The Boy That Sees

Dear Seeing Boy,

I know you probably see me as a sister or a close friend, but I don't see you that way either. I see you as something more. I think I have developed feelings for you from the retreat. After getting to know you, I realized that you were the kind of person I want to be with. I know you won’t reciprocate these feelings, which is why I’m writing this letter. You were so sweet that I couldn’t help it. The way you were willing to run back and forth from the building to the cabins, and the way you carried me in your arms changed my entire perspective about you. I wish I could get to know you better, but I’m scared of revealing myself to you. I’m scared of pushing you away as I did with my ex. I don’t want things to be awkward with us. Stargazing with you was fun, and the way you offered to protect me when we found the deer was so nice of you. 

I’ve never been able to spend a day without thinking about you multiple times. I wonder what you’re doing, I wonder what you’re thinking, or how you’re feeling. I wonder how you felt when you held me in your arms, or when I rested on you. I’m curious as to how you felt when running back for me to retrieve something or just hanging out with me. I wonder what kinds of things you’re into, and whether we have the same interests.

You also make me miss the feeling of your warmth. I miss your jokes and your laugh. I miss how you’re willing to go the distance just for me, and you’re willing to exert yourself to make me happy. I miss your voice and how you’re willing to support me when I’m scared. I miss your willingness to help not just me, but others. However, I see you with some of my friends, and I become jealous. I don’t know why but I want to be the one that gets close to you. You make me feel things I haven’t felt since I was in love with my ex, and I’m not sure if this is good or not. However, I do want a chance with you, so I hope you find this letter and realize it’s you, but at the same time I hope you never find this and live your life in peaceful bliss and ignorance.

Article 13 has been approved by EU. It’s worse than Net Neutrality has ever been. I don’t even know if we will have any access to Tumblr, Pinterest, Ao3 or even Instagram. Memes are probably dead, just like reactions, fanfictions and gifsets. Everyone in EU is in danger that they will not have access to their favorite sites. But I haven’t seen a SINGLE post about it on my dash because Americans doesn’t give a damn.

Also, I’m in Europe and ngl, had no idea this was even an article up for debate let alone it being fucking passed.

To The Guy Who Caused This Mess

When you called it off, my heart just shut down. I went from being on top of the world to the bottom of hell when you said it. You’d think after 3 months I’d be over it, but I guess I’m not. Some nights I cry myself to sleep just thinking about you. You’re the one that always fills my thoughts, even after we were through. I want to get over you. Believe me, I don’t enjoy feeling this hurt. However, you also give me this feeling that’s so intoxicating, I can’t live without it. This feeling is also fucking with me. It makes me desperate for you. Desperate for us. Heck, I’m even crying as I type this goddamn letter. I try to think of all the negative aspects of you. The lack of empathy when I need it, you being an asshole, your big nose, everything. No matter how hard I try though, I still love you. I’ve been trying to lie to myself for you because I want you to be happy. I know you want me to move on right now but I can’t because you’ve hurt me too much. There are many things I wish you would do though to at least help me heal from the wounds you’ve inflicted.

1. Be more empathetic/understanding

2. Stop joking about wanting my crush

3. Bring up the girl from your dreams less

4. Stop bringing up the past

5. Respect when I don’t want to talk about something
