Her oath
Notes:These characters belong to masachi Kishimoto.
This is the first chapter of this multi chapter fic, the rest will be posted on ao3 under this link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/27701078/chapters/67795226#workskin
Summary:"Let me help you" "I cant" "Just tell me and let me help you" "I made a promise, i can't do it"Trouble for sarada as she gets pit to touble from a mission turn as bad as it can get, how Boruto can help him?
.
Sasuke got regular messages from his wife every couple of weeks, just stuff like checking up on him. Boruto knew that, knew that this is a regular time  for a message to arrived, but he couldn’t help but feel a deep sensation of dread deep in his stomach. The fact that the message in question came via the emergency messenger hawk dedicated to his aunt Sakura didn’t help quench his anxiety, specially after his master immediately summoned his susanoo for quick transportation.
His blond hair flew back, his travelling cloak flapping from the force of the wind, but he was unbothered, figure completely still, eyes focused on the man standing in front of him, who was entirely too focused on maintaining his susanoo and flying them to what Boruto was sure is the hidden leaf.
It took them half a day to get there, all the while Boruto couldn’t think of anything other than his childhood friend.
.
.
.
When they got to the gate of Konoha, and Sasuke had to land and enter by foot for security reasons, Boruto lost his patience.
‘’What’s wrong Sasuke-san?’’ He asked tentatively, not sure whether his master will answer or not, after all Boruto spent 2 years and a half   travelling with said man, he knows when he will answer or not.
Just as Boruto expected, his question was met with silence as they silently jogged into the village. He just followed the older man, who looked like he was heading to the village center, where most of Konoha’s important sectors like the hokage office and interrogation unit were present.
Boruto almost ran into his master’s back as he stopped abruptly, turning towards Boruto.
‘’Inform the hokage of our arrival.’’ He said, before turning away from him.
‘’Hey! At Least tell me why we’re here, we were supposed to stay on our trip for at least 6 months more dattebaseh!’’ Boruto said angrily, taking a step towards the black haired man.
Sasuke stayed quiet, taking a step forwards, away from Boruto, before he sighed.
‘’Clan matters.’’
And that was the last thing he told the blond boy before he sprinted away.

In that moment
She kissed him.
She actually kissed him.
Boruto still couldn’t wrap his mind around it, even almost 30 minutes after, even as he’s walking home in the empty streets of Konoha.
He was still replaying the moment in his mind when he arrived home, how she reached and grabbed him by the collar, pulled him down so his lips could meet his, that brief moment of confusion where both of them didn’t dare move a muscle before they suddenly just fitted against each other, their lips moving in sync until they were both out breath, how her ey-
‘’I thought your mission ended like 4 hours ago, at least that’s the time Sarada gave me her report.’’
Boruto jumped, hand reaching for his kunai before his mind registered that it was just his father. Boruto turned around to see Naruto sitting on the dining table, laptop in front of him and a stack of paperwork next to him and of course the obligatory empty cup ramen beside him and on the floor.
‘’Emm yeah but we hung out a bit afterwards, Sarada and I.’’ The young man answered, tying his best to hide his blush.
‘’I see...I trust you went to the hospital first though, what did you do in all this time though instead of resting?’’ Naruto asked, closing the laptop and putting it beside him, accidentally knocking over a tower of cup ramen.
‘’Oh man Hinata is gonna have my head when she wakes up dattebayo.’’ He exclaimed before crouching down to pick them up.
‘’You should go to sleep dad, I should too, as you said, I need to rest.’’
And before he could say anything, Boruto closed the door to his bedroom, heading directly to his bed.
.
.
.
‘’Your wounds are completely healed, just a few touch ups here and there and you’re already done.’’ The medic at Konoha hospital told him.
Boruto thanked him before exiting the hospital.
‘’So you okay or you ran away from the hospital against doctor’s orders again?’’ Sarada asked, her stride matching his as they walked in the busy streets of their home.
‘’Nah, that’s more your thing, at least you don’t have the fear that aunty Sakura will just drag you back to hospital unconscious if she has too.’’ he said.
‘’Yeah, instead she makes my room into a makeshift hospital and threatens to break both my legs if I get out to train.’’
Boruto snorted.
They walked in silence for a couple of minutes before Boruto spoke.
‘’So what did Dad say about the report?’’
‘’He was impressed that we finished the mission earlier than expected, but wasn’t at you getting injured and disobeying orders.’’ Sarada answered, to which Boruto only hummed in reply.
They kept walking until they were next to the original Ichiraku stand, Sarada got in and Boruto resisted an urge to facepalm.
‘’Out of all the foods, she just had to love ramen…’’’ he thought, making his way inside and sitting in his usual seat beside Sarada, who was beaming at the old man behind the stand while ordering their usual.
‘’’Your treat right?’’ Sarada said.
‘’Why is it always my treat?’’
‘’Cause I saved your ass this mission too, like I do with most missions, so you’re treat.’’
Boruto sighed, ‘’Fine, It’s good you don’t have an addiction on something actually expensive.’’
‘’Well you could always treat me to dessert after this…’’ Sarada said, leaning her head on her hands, gaze examining him and lips quirking up in a small smile.
He couldn’t say no, not when she’s looking at him like that, not when she risked her life to save his own just a day prior.
‘’Hmmm, if you’d let me walk you home after then it’s a deal.’’  He replied.
‘’But your house is like a thirty minute walk away from mine, you shouldn’t walk that much on your own in this state.’’ She said, hands almost reaching out to touch the bandaged wound on his stomach.
‘’Don’t worry, a talented ‘not medic’ patched me up well enough.’’ he said, chuckling when Sarada punched his arm.
It amused him to no end that his teammate would often refuse to say that she a medic, granted officially she isn’t, as she isn’t on the medic nin roster thus not required to stand back in battle situations, but the girl’s indignation whenever someone implies she is makes Boruto laugh every time.
‘’Ramens here!’’ She said excitedly, reaching excitedly for her chopsticks after  thanking the man.
Boruto found himself staring at her, digging into the bowl immediately, not even waiting for it to cool down.
He smirked before reaching for his own chopsticks and eating.
.
.
.
He couldn’t sleep, he was exhausted and he knew that the person not allowing him to sleep is the same person that will scold him tomorrow if he shows up tired.
But he just couldn’t shake off the feeling of her, just her being in his arms, close, exchanging warmth, hands on her waist. It’s like he never knew how much he wanted this until now, and he can’t stop wanting more, more of what time with her, to hear her voice more, to feel her.
He wanted more her in her entirety, even her stubbornness and bad temper, even her arrogant and sarcastic attitude, even her recklessness and bossy attitude.
I want her. Boruto thought, rising up from his bed at that admission. It was the first time he said something like that towards his teammate, or towards any girl.
.
.
.
 ‘’WHAT!?’’
‘’Baka stop yelling!’’ Sarada yelled in turn, blushing in embarrassment, it was the middle of the night so the shop was mostly empty except for them.
‘’You just told me that Kagura is getting married, you want me not to yell!’’
‘’Well kinda of surprise he took this long.’’ Sarada said, taking a bite from her dango.
‘’Hey what does that mean dattebaseh.’’
Sarada gave him a look, as if shiding him for not knowing before she spoke.
‘’Well he’s really handsome, plus he’s good with words, sweet, charming, a good ninja and a future country leader, most girls would dream of a guy like that.’’
‘’Do you?’’ He asked, not even second after she finished talking.
The question startled her, she didn’t know how to answer, the heat she felt on her neck made her even more nervous.
‘’No I don’t, never did.’’ She said, eyes locked on him as she saw something akin to relief on his face.
‘’That’s good.’’ He answered.
‘Dad’s rubbing off on him with the one word answer’ Sarada thought, annoyed in that unique way only Boruto managed to do.
‘’Why do you care?’’ Sarada asked.
Boruto stayed quiet for a minute, not knowing how to answer cause he genuinely didn’t know why he cared, this isn’t any of business, but the thought of Sarada crushing on Kagura, or any other guy made him go mad.
‘’I just do.’’ He admitted, seeing no use in denying it any further. He took a sip of his tea in an attempt to hide his blush.
Sarada just stared at him with a serious expression on her face, as if contemplating something important, before tearing her gaze from him and back towards her dango.
.
.
.
The blond boy rose up from his bed, put his shoes on and shot out from the window, waiting for tomorrow wasn’t an option, not when he unknowingly waited for who knows how long.
“Atleast 2 years.” Boruto thought, recalling all the times he’s lose it if someone did as much as lay one finger on her, or when a guy attempts to flirt with her, or the way he’d gravitate towards her instinctively.
.
.
.
‘’So… how’s Sumire?’’’ Sarada asked, after spending a while walking in silence.
‘’She’s fine, she’s spending all her time cooped up in that lab, she’s preparing for a promotion.’’
He didn’t know where they were heading, they just walked around the village, already passing by the road leading to her house, but neither of them cared to stop just then, he didn’t know why she didn’t stop, she did appear tired and in need of rest, but he knew that he didn’t want to say goodbye after what happened.
He thought she was done for, an attack that he was sure would have struck her in the chest if he had not intervened, she says she had a plan but he doesn’t believe it, so he broke orders and jumped in to take the blow instead of her, the blow landing on his stomach, which she managed to heal after taking the missing-nin down without too much hassle.
When Sarada didn’t comment, Boruto continued,
‘’She told me something strange a couple of weeks ago though.’’
‘’Hm?’’ Sarada acknowledged, tearing her gaze from the road in front of them towards Boruto, who she just noticed was looking at her this whole time.
‘’She asked me out.’’
‘’Oh.’’ She said, unable to find something else to say until a few seconds later, ‘’ Did you have
nice time then?’’
‘’Nah, didn’t go out, I told her that we were just friends.’’ He said, seeing what seemed like relief on Sarada’s face, but it faded as quickly as it appeared.
‘’I hope you didn’t just blurt that out…’’
‘’Give me some credit will you, I know how to lay girls down gently, unlike you who  strikes boys down like striking a rat.’’ He said, smirk appearing at his lips at the thought of the sheer amount of guys Sarada had let down in the 8 years they were on a team together.
Though he found himself wondering if she would turn him down too...
‘’Hey! I only do that cause they wouldn’t comprehend nicely, asshole guys need asshole ways to get it.’’
‘’Sure sure, though I can’t count the times friends of mine asked me how to ask you out, only to come to me a couple of days later telling me it’s my fault for giving them bad ways, you’re ruining my friendships Sarada.’’
She only pushed him lightly on his shoulder, muttering baka in a barely hearable voice before they continued on walking.
.
.
.
He knocked on her window door, deciding that knocking on the house door will get unwanted attention from his aunt and uncle, though he doubted they wouldn’t sense him here.
‘’It’s way past your bedtime you know.’’ A voice from above said.
‘’You’re younger than me, so that means you should sleep before me.’’ he retorted, climbing onto the roof to find Sarada laying there, staring at the sky in a very shikadai like manner.
‘’Ha Ha…’’ she exclaimed sarcastically, recalling a time where her classmates would call her the baby of the bunch.
Boruto layed next to her in silence, but unlike the usually comfortable silence that was present between them, this was heavy, layered with tension and unspoken words.
‘’So shouldn’t you be resting? You kinda had a life threatening injury a few hours ago.’’ She broke the silence.
‘’It wasn’t that serious, besides, I couldn’t sleep.’’
‘’Likewise then.’’
Boruto almost didn’t hear her answer, too focussed on the way her eyes shined in the moonlight, he didn’t know if she noticed him looking as her gaze was still on the sky.
Silence befell upon them once again, this time none of them breaking it as Boruto continued to admire her.
He felt like an idiot for not noticing sooner, he knew that he felt deeply for her, just didn’t know that he felt that way for her, and he’s sure she feels the same.
Has to feel the same.
.
.
.
‘’Thanks for walking me home, you didn’t have too.’’ Sarada said, laying a hand on Boruto’s shoulder in the way she always does.
‘’Yeah, can’t have a beautiful woman walking alone at 2 am.’’  Boruto said, realising what he just said a moment too late.
‘’You think I’m beautiful?’’’ She asked, lips quirking in a smile and he could have sworn he saw her blush but the night darkness made it hard to make sure.
He decided there is no use denying it.
‘’Well yeah, you’re kinda like the prettiest girl in our class, that’s like a class rule, kinda like how I’m the handsomest guy in our class.’’
‘’Wow, you managed to be sweet and ass at the same time.’’ She said, laughing at the silliness of what she just heard. A moment later her face turned serious again as her hand reached towards his stomach, right above his bandage.
‘’You should stop acting tough, I saw you wince many times on our way here.’’
‘’It stings a bit, nothing I can’t handle.’’
‘’Yeah but…’’ she stopped, as if considering thoroughly what to say, ‘’ you shouldn;t have done that, I ordered you to stay in your station.’’
‘’But you were in danger.’’ He said matter of factly.
‘’Yes but I could handle myself Boruto.’’ She said, angre starting to leak into her voice, but Boruto didn’t really mind it, he knew it was anger born out of concern.
‘’I’m sorry I had you worried but I swore to protect you remember?’’
Sarada didn’t reply immediately, remembering that moment all those years ago as if it was yesterday.
‘’You did, but I’m going to be the next hokage, that means I have to protect my family.’’
‘’But I swo-’’
‘’I don’t care what you swore, do you know what I felt like when I saw you laying in a pool of your own blood? Sword sticking out of you while you tried to grasp at life? I felt like-like…’’ she hesitated, words getting lost in her mouth.
‘’Sarada…’’’
‘’I felt like nothing would matter anymore, if you were to die, I can’t accept that as a possibility, that moment I was ready to give the world anything, anything if it meant that you’d live.’’
Boruto knew it was an exaggeration, knew that Sarada’s biggest love will always be the village, knew she’d give her life for it any day, but at that moment he knew that what she felt for him was way bigger than what he assumed. And he would be lying to say that he experienced something different than pure ecstasy at hearing her words.
Why? At that moment he didn’t know, he just knew that he was happy with her words, even though she was scolding him.
‘’Sarada.’’ He muttered, his hand laying on her shoulders gently, he leaned down a bit so they were eye to eye before speaking.
‘’I’m sorry.’’
He was sorry, not for what he did, he knew Sarada would have done the same thing and she knows it too,  but for the feelings of worry and helplessness he made her feel. He still remembered waking up to a tearful Sarada, holding him close to her in a hug that was bone crushing but also at the time comforting.
‘’But I'd do what I did again and again, as long as I have, because I-...’’  he didn’t know where his words were coming from,  they were genuine, honest, but he knew for a fact that he never thought of the words he was going to say next.
‘’I love you.’’
.
.
.
‘’You left in a hurry earlier.’’ She said, her eyes finally leaving the sky to look at him.
‘’The lights turned on, and I was scared your dad will catch us and-’’
‘’Kick your ass for ruining his daughter’s innocence?’’ Sarada said, sarcasm dripping from her voice.
‘’No dattebaseh! He’s just a dad, it would have been awkward for him to see us…’’ his words faded, not daring to say the word as only the recollection sent blood gushing into his cheeks.
‘’Don’t worry, he was just in the kitchen.’’ she interrupted, as if giving him a way to run from the phrase he started.
Boruto didn’t answer, he just sat up and leaned on his arm, not breaking eye contact for one moment as he got closer to her.
‘’I meant what I said.’’ He exclaimed, eye still peering down at her, noticing the faint blush on her cheeks.
‘’I meant it too.’’ she replied, her hand grasping at his.
Boruto barely noticed, his gaze still focussed on her beautiful black orbs, then on her lips, then he found himself leaning down, to do what he realised should have done a long time ago.
Their lips met for the second time today and it felt like the world froze over, like they were the only two people in the world in that moment, like no one could separate them apart.

Uncharted
Disclaimer: these characters don’t belong to me, they belong to the Naruto series created by Masashi Kishimoto.
(I’m baaacckkkk)
Summary: At 20 years old, Sarada had done everything she ever dreamed of, conquered all her demons, went to hell and back, but there is one more territory that she left uncharted...till now. (Borusara, Sasusaku)
Sarada had fought aliens, she had protected the village singlehandedly from it’s biggest threat yet, she created a jutsu even her dad’s genius have deemed impossible to achieve, she even managed to see what was under Kakashi’s mask, a feat she is proud of but refuses to admit to anyone what was the price.
Kakashi had already promised to take that secret to his grave, not that she’d ever admit that she was a fan of the Icha Icha series, and possessed a first edition copy of the book that kicked off the series, which she spent three S ranked missions worth of ryo on, only to be traded a few months later with Kakashi.
Totally worth it. Sarada thought
But something as silly as-
Sarada felt her cheeks burn up, not able to even think of what happened without turning completely red.
And now here she is, standing outside her mother’s office for what seemed like hours, attempting to knock for the hundredth time but stopping at the final moment cause she had no idea what to tell her mom.
Sakura had always been Sarada’s best friend, well adult best friend, she always listened to her, giving advice when she asked. To a younger Sarada her mother appeared the wisest, having an answer to everything. Now a 20 year old, Sarada knows that is far from the truth, and that there are many subjects her mother still falters in, nonetheless, she is still a third of the strongest shinobi team ever.
Come on, just do it already, shanaro!
So Sarada took a deep breath and raised her fist to knock, this time determined to do it, until the door flew open in front of her, revealing her mother, with a questioning look on her face.
‘’You’ve been standing outside my door for more than five minutes Sarada.’’ Sakura said, looking at her daughter up and down, accessing for damages, but she couldn’t find anything unusual, other than her reddening face.
‘’I-well I wanted t-to Talk.’’ Sarada stuttered out, mentally berating herself for stuttering like that.
Why do I feel like I've been caught with my hand in a cookie jar?
Confusion was apparent on Sakura’s face as she stepped aside, making way for her red in the neck daughter to pass through before closing the door behind her.
‘’Last time I saw you in this state you asked me if i was pregnant.’’ Sakura said in an attempt to help her daughter relax.
It was 8 years ago when Sarada confronted her parents with the deduction that her mother was pregnant, after noticing that she came home from the hospital early most days, even earlier than the time she arrived home from her daily missions or training sessions and her usually energetic mother was always a bit tired at those times too, her dad changing Boruto’s training schedule to be home at that time didn’t help her assumptions either, thinking he needed that time to take care of her and be by her mother’s side.
Of course Sarada got the fright of her life when Sakura thought that she was saying she gained weight before she explained her reasons for thinking she was pregnant, in which an amused Sasuke intervened that they just decided to dedicate some time to be spent alone. It wasn’t till a couple years later that Sarada caught on to what they meant.
Sarada shuddered at the thought.
‘’Hey I had sufficient reasons to believe so!’’ Sarada blurted out.
‘’Just like you had sufficient reasons to believe I wasn’t your mother.’’ Sakura responded.
She loved her daughter to bits, but detective work was not her forte.
Sarada had the decency to not respond to that, changing the subject instead.
‘’So...something happened…’’ she started, trailing off.
‘’Hm?’’ Sakura leaned forward in her chair, leaning her head on her hands as she gave a small smile to Sarada, a silent way to remind her that she can tell her anything.
‘’Between Boruto and I…’’ Sarada finally continued, fidgeting her hands and gazing at the floor, but she still took glances at her mom, enough to see her look of confusion turn into one of understanding, and maybe even a bit of smugness.
You sure you and Boruto are just friends…? Sarada could almost hear her mother utter that question again, she used to ask her that as far back as the academy days and Sarada of course vehemently denied.
‘’I see…,’’ Sakura said, raising up from her seat behind the desk to sit in front of Sarada on the guest chairs, ‘’Want to tell me what happened?’’
Sarada shook her head, to which Sakura sighed but couldn’t help the small smile that made its way to her lips.
Sometimes she’s just like Sasuke…
‘’Okay then, how do you feel about whatever it is that happened?’’
‘’Confused.’’ Sarada answered immediately. Her eyes were not daring to lift from the floor.
‘’Other than that?’’ Sakura prodded, reaching for her daughter's damaged hand before continuing, ‘’happy? Sad? Mad?’’
Sarada took a moment before answering, “ Happy,...and kinda scared and maybe relieved too…”, her gaze lifting only slightly to meet her mom’s comforting green eyes, then moved to their intertwined hands, getting a flashback to a time a month back. She could still feel the burning pain on her arm, Shizune-san was trying her best to heal it, damage it has suffered being extensive, so extensive an ugly burn scar was still apparent across her arm, while Sakura was holding her hand tightly, kinda like she is now.
‘’Yes?’’
‘’I was relieved cause I thought that he feels the same way.’’ Sarada admitted, knowing fully well the weight of what she just admitted for the first time.
Sakura smiled at her daughter’s words, opening her mouth to say something before someone interrupted.
‘’Sakura- Sama!” Sakura’s assistant barged into the office.
‘’How many times to I have to tell you to fucking knock you dumbass!” Sakura yelled, standing up and glaring at him.
Immediately, he took a couple of steps back, sweat trickling down his face as Sakura continued to glare at him.
Sarada almost pitied the poor man, her mother had a glare that would make her dad cower, other than the fact that that same man was subject to her father’s glare the many times he interrupted their time at home for hospital emergencies.
‘’I’m sorry Sakura sama! But the Suna delegate is here to check up on your joint medic training program, he said he came early because it’s predicted a sand storm will come in the coming hours..’’ He said, taking more steps backwards.
Sakura took a deep breath before she shot Sarada an apologetic look.
‘’I’m sorry Sarada, we’ll continue this talk tonight okay?’’ Sakura said, leaning down to plant a kiss on her daughter’s forehead and poking it as she leant away, but not before whispering something in her ear.
Sarada watched as her mother left the office, leaving her alone with her thoughts.
What the hell does follow your heart supposed to mean?! Mom’s as cryptic as always, shanaro!
.
.
.
Sarada got out of her mother’s office then straight to her favorite sweets shop, planning on  mulling over what her mother told her while sipping through a cup of tea along with her fav dango.
But nothing is that easy in Sarada’s life, cause as soon as she stepped into the sweets shop she found her father at the counter.
Great, this is a new level of bad luck, what are the odds that I’d encounter Sasuke fucking Uchiha in a sweets shop.
But nonetheless, Sarada found herself smiling as she walked towards him, feeling the same joy she always felt when she saw him for the first time after a mission.
Of course his missions are a lot shorter, even so he still makes an effort to keep in contact, even using the cellphone Sakura got him all those years ago when he couldn’t send a hawk.
‘’Welcome home Papa.’’ Sarada said, beaming upwards at Sasuke, who offered a faint smile that wouldn’t be noticeable to anyone but her in this shop.
‘’Sarada.’’ He acknowledged, before turning to the lady at the counter and telling her to double his order and add two cups of tea to go, which they took for free.
‘’Anything for our hero.’’ The shop lady said, looking at Sarada fondly, who thanked her awkwardly, it’s been a month and she still hasn’t gotten used to this treatment from the village people.
A month since she felt truly alone on the battlefield, a month since she had felt like she was the only hope for hundreds of people, people which she swore she will protect and love since she was eleven, a month since she almost lost her arm, and a month since she saw the reason for her recent confusion.
As usual, her father doesn’t like to sit in public very much when has an option of going to a quiet place, which is where they were heading after his order was done and passing by an onigiri shop.
When they arrived at their usual destination, the forest in the Uchiha compound where Sasuke had taught Sarada the chidori and many other things, Sarada sat down on the ground and Sasuke followed after taking off his cloak.
This place used to frighten her, as a kid and as a teen, she knew no one will ever dare come here, this place somehow maintained its frightening aura even after being destroyed in pain’s attack, she knew that she shouldn’t be frightened of this place, because if circumstances were different, she would have lived here.
But she learned to feel at ease here, after her father took her to dock where his father taught him fire jutsu, where he taught her it too, then he showed her his childhood home, which somehow remained intact then finally took her to this forest, where he told her all kinds of stories about her uncle.
It wasn’t until she was 16 did she learn the whole truth, no thanks to her parents of course, she couldn’t blame them though, they are her parents, it’s their job to protect her, and the anguish she felt then rivals only the anguish of losing a loved one.
‘’I would have guessed that Boruto would have found you.’’ Sasuke said suddenly, in his usual monotone.
Sarada’s head snapped up, dango stick she was intently enjoying almost fell from her hand.
‘’Wha-why why would he find me?’’
Sasuke only looked at her with a look bordering on confusion.
‘’Isn’t that what he always does when he gets home from a mission?’’ Sasuke replied, gaze examining his daughter.
Sarada took a moment before she managed to muster a reply.
‘’Oh.’’
She could feel her cheeks turning red.
‘’Do you have a fever?’’He asked, which decreased Sarada’s mortification a bit cause at least her father is too clueless to notice this.
‘’Boruto might be under the weather too, his face was the same color as yours when we arrived home.’’
‘’What!? Really!?’’ Sarada exclaimed, her dango stick layed forgotten on the ground.
‘’I met up with him about a day away from Konoha, said he was on his way home from an important mission.’’ Sasuke said, a smirk still apparent on his face.
‘’Ohh,’’ Again that was all Sarada managed to say before continuing moments later,’’ He had to go on a mission a couple of days after that creep attacked Konoha.’’
Sasuke’s smirk again, this time out of pride rather than amusement, his daughter, the future of the Uchiha clan, stood up to an alien who wanted to destroy Konoha in vengeance of he and Naruto’s previous actions, both of them weren’t there, Sarada being the only thing that stood against them as Boruto went to free them from Kawaki’s seal.
‘’I know, though that doesn’t explain why his face turned to the same shade as yours right now when your name got brought up.’’ Sasuke said in a matter of fact way, almost sounding genuine.
But Sarada knew her father, knew that amused glint in his eyes, the way he smirks when he knows he’s on to something. She used to enjoy it when he was like that with her mother back when she was still getting used to him, but soon after he started teasing her too, even uniting with her mother against her, which often left Sarada a mumbling mess.
Sarada sighed, resigned to the fact that her father knew something was going on, focussing instead on the extent of his knowledge.
‘’Not funny papa.’’Sarada said, in the straightest tone she could manage.
‘’Hm.’’ Sasuke looked at Sarada’s half hearted glare, lips shaped into a pout and arms crossed, and suddenly all he could see was a younger version of Sakura.
She’s just like Sakura. He thought.
‘’You’ve been upset since I saw you.’’ Sasuke remarked, getting straight to the point.
At that Sarada’s shoulder slackened and her gaze went downwards for a few moments, but Sasuke didn’t pressure her, knowing that just like him, she needs time before talking.
A minute later she started to talk.
‘’Before Boruto went after Kawaki and I went to confront that creepy god like thing, we were together, and…,’’ Sarada took a breath before she continued her phrase, ‘’...We had a moment.’’ She admitted.
Sasuke raised his eyebrow slightly in an expression Sarada knows is curiosity, but as usual, he waited for her to continue instead of asking.
Other than the difficulty she faced when talking about this subject, she now has another difficulty in which she doesn’t know how her father would react to this particular thing.
Atleast with Mama I could predict her reaction…
Sasuke cleared his throat to get attention, taking the final bite from his onigiri pack.
Sarada seemed to get a bit of courage and looked at him, her mouth opening to say something but a moment later she reverted to her previous state, which is a blushing mess.
Sasuke sighed.
Definitely takes after her mother…
‘’Do you mean an intimate moment?’’ Sasuke asked, to which Sarada’s eyes widened, but she nodded.
‘’How intimate?’’
‘’Emmm…’’
‘’Sarada.’’
‘’He kissed me, and I kissed him back and before he left I poked his forehead like you do to Mama!’’
Sarada finally admitted for the first time since that day.
She could still feel it, still feel  his lips on hers, still feel his skin’s warmth on her fingers, the feeling of pure passion and fire she felt when he looked at her, when he made her promise that she’ll be okay.
That was the last time she saw him, she knew from her mother that he stayed by her bedside the two first days of her unconsciousness, but he had to leave for an important mission, though he wouldn’t leave without making Sakura promise to write him a letter informing him of Sarada’s state.
Sarada woke up a week after he left, two days later, her father went on his mission.
‘’And why are you upset?’’ Her father’s voice took her out of her stupor.
‘’Cause this feels weird, I always knew I loved him, but I don’t know when it progressed to being in love with him, I expected love to be a strong feeling, but not like this, not this scary...not …’’ Sarada struggled for a moment as tears fell from her eyes, ‘’...intense and deep and passionate and-and...I’m scared cause this is the first time I feel like this, I’m scared cause this might ruin us, scared of feeling something so strong but....’’
Sasuke only stared at her, almost knowing what she would say next.
‘’I love him Papa.’’
Sasuke’s gaze softened, as he stood up from his seat and went towards his sniffling daughter.
‘’You should go find him.’’ Sasuke said, wiping the tears off of Sarada’s face, he waited till she nodded before he poked her forehead and smiled at her, he then leaned down to pick the dango box.
Sarada knew where to find him, it was nearing evening, and he knew where she would be normally at this time, and he would be waiting for her there, like he always did.
‘’Thank you Papa,’’ Sarada said, before straightening up and taking a step away from her father towards her destination, but she suddenly stopped and looked at Sasuke again, ‘’ Tell Mama I’m sorry, I know she likes her dango warm.’’
Sasuke grunted, clear annoyance at being caught red handed, but he smiled again looking at the Uchiha symbol of his daughter’s back, sheer pride taking over him at what his daughter has become.
.
.
.
As she expected he was there, standing on the hokage mountain, on the empty space near lord seventh, where she would normally spend her evenings.
He sensed her coming, but didn’t turn around till she was about next to him.
‘’Hello hero.’’
‘’Hey Bo.’’
They stood in silence, each sneaking glances at the other before their eyes finally met, they both blushed a deep shade of red and looked onwards again.
Sarada didn’t know what to do, what to say, so she decided to just act like she would normally.
‘’You stink.’’ She remarked.
Boruto almost fell off the edge, he expected anything, anything but this.
‘’Excuse me! I just got back from a month long mission, dattebaseh!’’
‘’Well you could have stopped by your house and took a shower shanaro!.’’ she responded, turning her body so her eyes could meet his.
‘’I’m sorry! I was left  hanging last time I was in the village so kinda wanted to see what was up with that!’’
‘’I would have waited till the end of time, a shower is nothing!.’’ Sarada didn’t realise what she said until she saw Boruto’s expression turn from annoyance to confusion to shyness.
And then he was staring at her again, giving her the same look he gave that day a month ago, and then she felt it again, that intensity, passion, like a fire was burning inside her heart.
From the way he was looking at her, she knew he felt it too.
He took her hand in his, fingers reaching up to trace the scar on her arm, eyes never leaving hers as his other hand caressed her cheek.
‘’I’m sorry I had to go.’’ he muttered finally, in that soft tone he always used with her, just with her and no one else.
‘’It’s okay, you have your hero duties too.’’ she replied, a pure deep sense of satisfaction travelled through her body when his fingers descended from her arm to her hand, extending it, accessing the damage there.
That’s right, it was in bandages last time he saw me…
Sarada suddenly pushed her hand forward and put it over his heart, feeling an immediate sense of comfort at the thumping sensation she felt, his hand was still over hers,  pure blue eyes she loves so much looking deep into her soul, making her feel like they were the only two people in the world, just them, in this frozen moment in time.
In a sudden bout of courage, she circled her arms around his neck and pulled him down to her height, as one of his hands travelled towards her waist, the other still on her cheek, eyes never breaking apart except when their faces were inches apart, and then it happened, their lips met for the second time, time froze for the second time, they were connected for the second time.
A few seconds later they pulled apart, Sarada immediately buried her head in his chest, hiding her blush as he leaned his head on her shoulder.
The wind picked up, small pecks of water descended on them, but they both refused to pull apart, having waited too long for this.
Though a few minutes later they were drenched from head to toe and they had to pull apart.
Stupid rain! Sarada thought.
‘’You kept nagging about me taking a shower and look what happened.’’ Boruto teased, still close to Sarada, closer than he used to stand, his grasping Sarada’s, tangling their fingers together.
‘’Way to ruin the moment baka.’’ Sarada said, tossing him a glare, to which he laughed before looking into her eyes.
‘’I love you Sarada Uchiha.’’ he said, feeling like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders as he has been trying to say these five words since forever.
She looked at him, deep into his eyes, and she couldn’t help keep her sharingan at bay as it appeared out of instinct, upon feeling a strong emotion.
‘’I love you Boruto Uzumaki.’’
.
.
.
Sarada leaned her back against the door of her family home, a smile spreading across her face at what just happened, hands still in the pockets of the jacket he gave her, fingers still tingling from his touch, lips still warm from his, the soft thumps of his heart still in her ears.
It wasn’t until a couple of minutes of sitting there did she realise that the lights of the living room were on, which was weird since it was the middle of night, both her parents would be asleep by now, her mother for her morning shift and her father for his early morning report.
She walked quietly towards the lit room, afraid to wake her parents in case they were asleep on the couch again, which till this day she can’t comprehend how two full grown adults fit on their tiny couch.
To her surprise they were both awake and sitting on the couch, tea cups in hand and looking expectantly at her, both sprouting devious grins, Sasuke to a lesser extent of course.
‘’What!?’’ Sarada asked, looking between the two.
‘’Nice jacket.’’ Sakura remarked, grin turning into a full smile.
Sarada blushed and looked at the floor.
‘’Yeah yeah...’’ Sarada said, cheeks turning red fir what must have been the millionth time today before turning her body towards the stairs, but before she was out of sight she said something.
‘’Thank you.’’

Hellooo... so uhhh... do you ship ot3 BoruSaraMitsu? If you do, do you have a small fic for this particular shipper's heart and desires? I'm just really curious tho sorry in advance. Thank you veryyy much for reading this humble ask :D
Title: Fairy Tales
Rating: K
Genre: Friendship / Humor
Beta read by: @sandpancakecat
A/N: Not shippy as you have expected, darling. Definitely not small also, at 3,574 words. But definitely fluffy and funny friendship shenanigans.
Dedicated to the people who always screamat me for not sleeping, eating, and taking care of myself. Thank you for alwaysbeing there for me and coming to my aid. It’s been a bad week for us, but we always stay present for each other and I’m so thankful for that. I’ve been writing this fic for nearly 2 weeks, all for you @shikastemari @lazymilkshakecolor @double–u :)
Genin babies!
He tookin a ragged breath and gripped on tighter to his sword. The knight’s blond hairstuck on to his forehead, as sweat ran down his temples. The sight before himseemed akin to a nightmare. The tall grey walls were in shambles, and brightorange flames licked at the torn crests and flags, bearing the sigil of hishouse. He could not believe his eyes. As a boy, he thought his home to beimpregnable, but now, it was all starting to crumble and break, much like hisheart and spirits.
Theknight swallowed, seeking relief from a thirst he hadn’t noticed, but his mouthwas dry, and he found no reprieve. Hesitantly, he took a step forward, hisboots crunching the gravel under his feet. He did not want to look down, as hefeared he may see someone he knew lifeless on the ground. There was one personon his mind who he wished to see–to save–and hoped with all his heart thatthey were okay.
“Myprincess…” he uttered.
Sarada leaned in closer, her nose nearlybrushing the page as she continued to read. She was finally getting to the good parts! The slight romance in the bookwas well written, but far too slow paced. And the dilemma the knight had justdidn’t seem strong enough to drive the kind of character development that heneeded. The dragon’s story was interesting enough, and she liked the hint ofmagic that was sprinkled around the plot.

Shining Through - SasuSaku, BoruSara
Rating: T
Genre: Fluff / Family / Humor
Beta-read by: @sandpancakecat
A/N: I live for a judgy Papasuke and teasing Mamakura. Happens during Hot Pink (fic in my masterpost). Happens in the designer/model AU, wherein Sasuke & Boruto are designers and Sakura and Sarada are models. ^^
—
The blood rushed to his face, and he wasn’t too sure if it was because of the wine, or the boy that his daughter had brought to dinner. The cool air kissed his cheeks and Sasuke let out the breath he didn’t realize he was holding. Beside him, his wife giggled.
“Don’t pretend like this is a big surprise for you, Sasuke-kun.” Sakura leaned back on the balcony’s railing and teased her husband further. “It was bound to happen.”
Sasuke scowled. “I don’t see what she sees in him. He talks while his mouth is full.”
Sakura laughed. “Darling, Sarada has been talking about him for weeks.” She gave him a sly look, “And don’t you dare tell me you actually thought she was with Chocho in the Maldives two weeks ago.”
His frown deepened. It’s not that he didn’t know… it was more like he would have rather believed Sarada was just with a friend. He opened his mouth to defend himself, but Sakura beat him to it.
“I know you like him. I see you reading his features on magazines and checking out his collection online.” Sakura eyed him, a sly smile on her face.
“Hn.” He thought she wasn’t paying attention when he picked up that magazine in Sai’s office… “It doesn’t change the fact that he lacks grace.”
“You sound like a finishing school instructor.”
“Sakura.” He loved his wife, but she really needs to cut him some slack. It was hard enough that he was slightly hit, but recalling the tender look on his daughter’s face as she looked at Boruto made his heart clench. She might have looked like Sasuke, but the way her lips curled upward and her eyes sparkled made Sarada look just like—he felt a warm hand touch the crook of his elbow and he looked at her, breathless, “Sakura.”
Her green eyes captured the light, her fair skin glowing under the night sky, lips curled up in a smile. Sasuke just knew. There was no denying his daughter’s feelings.
“His feelings for her really shine through, Sasuke-kun.”
As do Sarada’s. He thought, but didn’t have the heart to say it out loud. He didn’t need to, anyway. The way his wife moved closer and squeezed his arm was assuring enough.
“She does talk about him a lot…” Sasuke mused. “But I remember she finds him annoying.”
Perhaps he was still in denial. Sakura giggled.
“You used to say that about me all the time, darling.”
Sasuke smirked. “Don’t I still say that?”
Sakura gasped. “Sasuke-kun!”
He pulled her close to him for a quick embrace, burying her face in his chest. She struggled and peeled herself away, puffing her cheeks at him. She looked so cute.
“See?” He poked her forehead. “Annoying.”
She held onto her forehead and blushed. Sasuke then took her other hand in his and lead her back into the restaurant. Sakura grinned and quickly fell in step with her husband.
As they were approaching, Sasuke spotted Boruto and Sarada facing each other, and she suddenly took his hands in hers. Sakura seemed to have seen it too, as she gave Sasuke’s hand a squeeze. Sakura was getting giddy just watching them from afar.
The two were laughing now, and when they stopped, they gazed into each other’s eyes.
Sasuke looked away, feeling like he was intruding on a private moment.
Sakura, on the other hand, thought differently. “See! They really like each other.”
They do. He thought. But still couldn’t get himself to admit it. Sarada was his daughter, and he only wanted her to be happy. If being with this boy would do that for her, then he would support her all the way.
“I just want them to see how much I adore you.” Boruto kissed Sarada’s knuckles, and Sasuke had to hold Sakura back by tightening his hold on her hand, but he should have known better. Sakura’s grip was always so much stronger.
Sasuke tried to hold back his flinch when his wife commented, “It’s hard not to when you’re looking at her that way.”
Although Sasuke probably felt as embarrassed as the young adults did, he couldn’t help but smirk at their tomato red faces. The way Sakura easily changed the topic to her dessert was awe-inspiring, but it didn’t help Boruto and Sarada’s red faces at all.
Sasuke sat down and watched the two, amused at their reaction. They were still both so young and had so much to learn. He wanted to be with Sarada all the way to help her and support her, but the way Boruto would talk about her, and anticipate her needs—she wasn’t even done drinking, yet he was already calling for a waiter to get her more water—Sasuke knew that Sarada was in good hands. It was the little things.
Boruto was reckless, rebellious, and a bold new talent in the industry, but it’s those traits that will also surely get him far.
His heart softened when he noticed Sarada’s arm move slightly closer to Boruto, and his arm did as well. He knew their hands were laced together under the table. Sarada taking on some of Sakura’s habits made his heart melt. Boruto’s a lucky man.
When it was time to go, he anticipated Boruto to invite them somewhere else in order to continue the conversation, as he was so enthralled listening to Sakura’s breakout story. Sasuke was sure he was curious, and would probably want to know more. He was surprised when he didn’t offer it, and even called him sir.
He looked at his outstretched hand and smirked. Sasuke shook Boruto’s hand and said, sincerely, “It was nice to finally meet the annoying boy Sarada talks about all the time.”
Sarada stomped and reprimanded him for throwing her under the bus. He smirked and Sakura couldn’t hold back a laugh. They both wished them good night and got into the car, leaving their daughter blushing like crazy.
Boruto and Sarada watched them pull away from the restaurant. He then looked at Sarada and grinned that she was still red.
“Oh, shut up,” she sulked.
He laughed and held her hand. “You talk about me all the time, huh?”
“I tell them how annoying you are.”
“Saradaaaa!”
If only he knew that was how Uchihas show their affection.

"Would you kindly teach me how to please you? As per my resume, I'm a quick learner" Any ship ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Title: Please Me
Rating: T
Genre: Romance / Humor
A/N: Model / Designer AU for BoruSara. Changed up the writing style a bit. Can you guess what I did differently? They’re in their early 20s here.
“C’est terrible!” Boruto threw his hands up in the air, only to run it down his face. He kept his hands on his cheeks as his eyes scanned the multi-colored silks that were spread out before him. It was horrible. Truly, fucking horrible.
None of them were the shade of red that he wanted. They looked off from the photos that were sent to him. If Sarada wasn’t around Asia at this time, he would have never even thought of coming over to inspect them before having the fabric shipped.
He gasped again in horror when he ran a finger down the edge. He started cursing in French and spewing out all of his worries that the material wasn’t going to make his show in time. It wasn’t even about how much it cost, it was his reputation on the line. How could he allow such dull colors into his line? This was the silk he ordered to have dyed for his final piece.
The poor assistants cowered at the corner, not understating a word, or perhaps they did, which is why they chose to stay away. Their boss wasn’t around, as Boruto’s visit was so short notice. He started pacing around, flipping through the samples and looking at the other textiles available in the room. It was unacceptable, none of them fit the look he was going for in his collection.
One of the assistants tried to calm him down, but as she spoke in a foreign tongue, it only irritated Boruto further. He chose to ignore her but was still muttering all possible solutions he could think of to salvage the situation.
Sarada sighed and stood from the couch she was sitting on. She had enough watching Boruto throw his drama queen fit and really wasn’t happy with all of the things Boruto was saying. She understood that he was a perfectionist when it came to his work, but she had never seen him so worked up over a bunch of cloth. Much less behave this childish with an audience. Well, it’s not like he hasn’t done that in their youth, but he did improve holding himself back… somewhat.
Besides, he had plenty of time, and surely this supplier wasn’t the only one in the whole of Vietnam who could provide what he needed.
She approached him and waved the assistants off, signaling them to leave them alone. All of them looked too relieved to be excused and scurried away quickly, closing the door behind.
Now they were alone.
Boruto has his hands planted on the table, head hung over the fabric choices, furiously thinking of solutions and worrying at the same time.
Sarada knew it was silly to ask, but she couldn’t help herself, “What’s so vile with the fabrics, Boruto? What did it ever do to you for you to say such cruel things to it?” She couldn’t hide the smile that formed on her lips and she stopped to stand right next to him. She was so close that she could feel his warmth—or perhaps his wrath—emanating from his body.
“They just—it just—“ Boruto’s eyes were wide and he still refused to stop looking at the offensive colored cloth. “They don’t… please me!”
Sarada wanted to laugh. They don’t please him? Perhaps she could fix that.
A light giggle escaped her lips and she leaned closer to him, a mischievous glint in her dark eyes. “They’re silks, Boruto. What did you expect?”
He whipped his head to look at her, still distressed. But as soon as he saw the look in her eye and the way her body was angled towards him, he swallowed and felt the heat rise to his cheeks, not out of anger, but of another completely different nature. Boruto did not respond. He had forgotten how when Sarada came even closer and brushed her soft lips on his jaw.
“Is it really so bad?” She purred.
Boruto gasped, as her lips traced up his jaw, coming dangerously close to his earlobe. “It—it just doesn’t know how to cooperate. The colors came out too pale.”
She whispered seductively. “Doesn’t know how? Perhaps you could teach me how to please you instead, then.” She licked his earlobe and gave it a light nip, making him cough to hide his moan. His hands came up to her hips, keeping her close. She pulled away a bit and rested her hands on his chest. Sarada smirked when she saw how red his face was. It was so much fun teasing him. “As per my resume, I’m a fast learner.”
She winked at him and his jaw slacked. She laughed and attempted to pull away. But Boruto wasn’t having it. He wasn’t going to allow her to leave him hanging like this. In one quick move, he lifted her to sit on the table, and he made his way between her legs. She let out a gasp but didn’t protest when his hand came up her back, and one found its way to her chin.
“Really now? A fast learner?” Boruto’s voice was husky, and his usually clear, blue eyes clouded over with want. To hell with the silks and the show. He wanted Sarada, and he wanted her now. He leaned into her and peppered her neck with kisses.
“Boruto.” Sarada meant to reprimand him, but the way her eyes shut and her voice came out as a breathy sigh, he definitely missed the point.
“It pleases me when you say my name like that.”
“Really?” She laughed. “I don’t even have to try, do I?”
Boruto pulled back and winked at her. He was going to swoop down to capture her lips but stopped midway, leaving Sarada hanging, eyes still closed and ready for his kiss.
After a few seconds, she opened her eyes and pouted at him. But it melted away as she noticed the look in his eyes, wide and full of wonder. She adored that look. “Boruto?”
He didn’t respond, instead, reached over to something behind her and held it up close to her cheek. “Beautiful,” he whispered. “Why didn’t I see it before? It looks perfect with your complexion.”
She blinked, and heat filled her cheeks. The way Boruto looked at her with such amazement unleashed butterflies in her stomach.
He grinned, and Sarada felt her heart flutter. Boruto looked so handsome when he was smiling like this. She wished he look at her like this forever. He held her cheek and she leaned into his warm touch, Sarada couldn’t help but smile at him as well. He put the cloth down and leaned in until their foreheads were touching. “You certainly are my muse.”
Sarada giggled. “I guess this means the cloth pleases you now?”
Boruto laughed and brushed his lips with hers for a tender moment before pulling away and told her, “It only does because of you.”
A few months later in Milan, Sarada modeled Boruto’s final piece, a lovely red gown. It was shocking to most critiques as the color was nowhere near as bright as the others, and yet, it stood out the most.
The crowd went wild when Boruto walked down the runway, praising him for such a beautiful collection. Sarada clapped as she watched him approach, and was surprised when he took her hand and made her walk with him to the front of the crowd to bow together.
Playfully, Sarada asked him, “Did we please you?”
He turned to face her, kissed her hand and didn’t mind as all of the cameras flashed. Boruto smiled at Sarada and gave her that same look of wonder he did at that tiny workspace in Vietnam that made her heart flutter. “Always.”

It’s so sad and infuriating that there are people who are just determined to find something to bitch about with every Captain Marvel trailer/TV spot. First she isn’t showing enough emotion in early trailers where we barely saw anything and Carol is clearly trying to remember who she is, then she’s ridiculous for screaming back at the Skrull (which was hilarious and 100% in character for Carol) and showing more of her personality.
Like just say you’re sexist and have an impossibly high standard for female characters.

Just an observation
…But the arm that held Sakura.
Tumblr media
Was the arm that reconciled.
Tumblr media
It became the arm that returned affection.
Tumblr media
It regained the lost love called family .
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And so the arm that held love was the arm Sasuke got to keep.
