It’s been so long since I’ve been on here. I have like no energy but I still wanna write, so I’m thinking I’ll remake. I want my blog to be as low maintenance as possible so I can really focus on the fun, so I’ll go selective and only really write what I feel like. I’ll reblog a post here once I did it and then I’ll go from there!

「 祐 介 」 🍜 [ talesofus ]
“My apologies. I must admit, I’m feeling quite tense about this.” Yusuke was used to guns in the sense that he could work an assault rifle in the Metaverse, and that was about it. A gun store was a whole other thing, but he must not dwell on it. He needed to get his head. He gripped the strap of his bag tightly, but his nerves were soon quelled by the thought of food. Yusuke rose a finger to his lips.
He could really go for some sushi, but his wallet was unsurprisingly light. Ah, could he take some of the Thieves’ funds? No, he knew the others would only get (rightfully) annoyed. If only he hadn’t spent the last of his money on that set of paints - though he would have done it all over again in a heartbeat. He shook off the thought.
At least Ryuji had the sense to stop yelling about Phantom Thieves business in public, though how it took this long for him to learn… Ah, it wasn’t worth thinking about. He placed a hand over his stomach reflectively. “Yes, food sounds like a good idea,” he chuckled. As much as his tastebuds craved the finer things, Yusuke must not tease himself like that. Instead, there was another place that offered reasonably-priced food. “The diner, then.” It was a quick walk from the station, and while they had all the time in the world, his stomach was demanding.
Good grief, he needed to eat more often. It was a thought that would be forgotten soon.
The diner wasn’t too busy, meaning they could sit down pretty quickly. (This also meant food would arrive quicker - thank goodness.) Yusuke picked up a menu and flipped through the pages. Ugh, what was the cheapest thing on here that wasn’t water? That would simply be depressing.
His teammate seemed to relax a bit at the prospect of food. Good. Couldn’t have him be all tense if they entered the shop, it’d only draw attention. Then again... someone like Yusuke was bound to draw attention in a store for gun enthusiasts. Ryuuji not so much, he knew that. Still, the thought of being in charge of their errands made him a little excited. He was gonna do a good job for their leader!
“ Sounds fine by me ”, he agreed, since he would’ve suggested the same. The diner was close by, served good food and the booths offered some privacy. Once they arrived at the place, he went ahead and chose a table in the back, their usual one. Ryuuji idly remembered how they’d come here way back after Yusuke’s first trip to the metaverse. That was... man, that was months ago, huh? Damn.
“ Geez, I ate lunch at home, but this is making me hungry all over again. ” Fuck it, he’d just go for a light snack. Some fries and soda were gonna satisfy his appetite for salt and fizz. Ryuuji threw the menu back on the table and leaned back, legs crossed widely and a hand on his seat.
“ Hey, don’t sweat it too much. If you spend a li'l more than you got, we’ll make it work somehow. B’sides! ” A grin spread on his lips. “ Ya gotta be prepared for the job, man! Can’t disappoint our guy. Oh, by the way... ” He leaned forward, with his brows knit together.
“ Ain’t he seemin’ kinda... off lately? Like... I dunno. I feel like something’s on his mind he won’t talk about. Didn’t get a chance to ask yet, though... ”
It was rare to see him genuinely worried. Maybe he was trying to confide in Yusuke here.

「 つ か さ 」 🥀 [ dreamtofbluebirds ]
Even if the light pollution was still bad here, it couldn’t be worse than in their home city right? He didn’t feel the need to reply outright to Amane’s chiding of him leaving the door open; if anything, the giggle proved he didn’t care. Feeling at perfect ease with the other mixed with a sense of obstinance to do exactly as he wished; it’s what made him passionate. …And problematic.
“Ooooh!” He looked up heavenward. “You’re right! They move so fast for being a couple kilometers above.”
“Oh! I know!” He turned from the window and pointed at his face. “You gotta smile REALLY wide! You’ll make the moon so jealous, it has to appear! Niiiiii!”
Alright, his scolding went ignored. Typical Tsukasa. He could just tell. Not that he was genuinely upset, but he’d still prefer if his brother didn’t do it. It only went to show how stubborn he was in his weird ways.
...then again, both of them were weird. Similar, yet different. Amane blinked in surprise at Tsukasa’s cheery suggestion, after which he giggled. So cute. As if to imitate him, he poked his cheeks and pulled up the corners of his mouth in a toothy grin.
“ Niiii~! ” He laughed, a little bashful. “ Haha... no matter how hard I smile, it won’t ever be as pretty as the moon. ” Because the moon was the most beautiful thing there was and Amane could only hope to be as bright someday.
“ Maybe you can make it work? ”, he teased his twin. Amane was feeling playful.

「 ??? 」 🥀 [ ahogedetective ]
After he says that, Shuichi stays completely quiet. He wasn’t sure what to expect, if it does work, so he braced himself. “!” He gasps when he hears that voice echo through the room, feeling that slight chill when he further saw no one in the stall. “A…Ah…?”
And just as he was about to turn around-“?!” He hears that whispered into his ear. That, along with the hand he feels suddenly cup his shoulder, and especially seeing Hanako right in his face, makes him jump badly.
“Gaaah?!” He yelps, body quickly turning around and practically slams his back against the pilaster of the stall. "Wh-?!“ While Hanako laughed at him, Shuichi just stares wide-eyed, a hand to his chest to help calm his rapidly racing heart.
"H…Hanako…san…?” He finally says, once he’s calmed down enough. “Oh…I…. N-No, I was just: I’ve always heard rumors about you, so I wanted to… see for myself if they were really true. Though…” He eyes him up and down, looking very puzzled. “…Is this what Hanako-san actually looks like? Because I thought… you were supposed to be a young girl with a bob cut and red skirt. But your appearance looks completely different from that: and you’re a boy…”
“ Ahaha... are you alright? ”
Giving humans a good spook was simply the best. Hanako indeed enjoyed the act of scaring people, all the more since it was part of the job. Even he had to make himself a name, after all! People rarely managed to summon him. How many jobs had he taken during his time here? One, two...
“ You got it. You’re talking to the Hanako-san of the toilet! You can call me Hanako-kun, though. ” Throughout being considered carefully by the detective, his floating silhouette sank until his feet made contact with the ground. With his arms behind his back and an oddly bright smile on his lips, he waited patiently for the other to voice his confusion.
“ That’s right. I am a boy ”, he giggled with a dismissive gesture of his hand. “ Besides, that stuff is out of fashion nowadays. And I’m a fashionable, up-to-date spirit!”
He jumped backwards, only to make a perfect landing atop the toilet’s tank. With his left index, Hanako drew circles in the air, before he poked his own cheek.
“ I’m the real deal, don’t you worry. But, I’m a very busy apparition. Are you sure that’s the only reason why you called me? If there’s nothing I can help you with, I must be going. ” He offered Saihara an amused smirk, his trusty Hakujoudai floating by his side.
“ I’m listening. ”

「 来 栖 」 ⚖️ [ musaeon ]
Akira merely watches from where he stands, watching Akechi. He can’t say he knew what to expect when he asked the other to join him for this, but he’s not disappointed in how this is going. He wasn’t sure if the detective would’ve accepted his offer, but they were running out of games to play with each other. Darts and billiards were fun and all, but they needed to keep things interesting with each other, and new games were a part of that.
He did have to say Akechi was doing better than what he expected. Sure, he knew that the two of them had a competition of sorts going on between them (rivals, his mind goes and that’s not too far from the truth he thinks) so he expected him to take this seriously. Of course Akira was going to take it seriously as well, a small smile graces his lips as the detective picks up a spare and turns to face him. His own hand comes up to catch the other’s in a high five, the smile turning into a small smirk at the statement.
“Hopefully you will be, but from the look of it I’d say you already are. It’ll be tough to top that.” Still, he’s up for the challenge, even if he can’t match the other right away. He’s got time to catch up after all. Akira moves to stand in front of the lane, ball in hand, before answering Akechi’s question.
“I did back home. Nothing serious just casually. Spent a summer a few years back going once a week to play.” With that he sighs lightly, before throwing the ball, letting it leave his grip to knock down eight of the ten pins. He waits before throwing the next one, looking to make sure he can throw it right to pick up the spare and sure enough, he does. Akira turns back to him, a small smirk on his face before raising his hand up for a high five.
“Your turn now, detective. Think you can keep up?”
Anything was engaging if it was with Kurusu, really. Well, perhaps that was because he had a talent of making ordinary things exciting, aided by his competitive spirit. It was pleasant to be around someone who could keep up with him, a rare instance. Perhaps this was what lead him to believe they were rivals of sorts, though he had never stated it out loud and wasn’t planning to. Putting a label on their bond might turn things a little too personal... at least for now.
A satisfied smile lingered on his lips.
“ I’m glad to hear you say that. Though I’m sure you’ll make it a challenge, as always.” Standing a few steps away, he watched curiously as Kurusu got into position. That was... interesting, to say the least. He didn’t expect that sort of stance from him. Akechi idly wondered what kind of people he might have played with, but soon gave Kurusu another high five. The raven-haired boy was only a step behind and if he wasn’t careful, he’d catch up to him any moment.
“ Well, I’ll try my best. Your past practice seems to have paid off though, I have to admit. ”
He walked past the other and readied himself for his next throw. Akechi’s back was straight and he took a deep breath. A fleeting thought threatened to worm its way in to disrupt his focus, but he shook it off and walked forward with confident steps. He was rewarded with the satisfying clatter of a strike. Something was amiss, however. The movement of his wrist had been a bit too rash. His perfectionism didn’t allow for even minor slip-ups.
“ ...you’re in a good mood today, Kurusu-kun ”, Akechi noted. He was curious for the reason and it showed in that he spoke a little more casually. “ Did something happen?”

Things were dire. With society crumbling around them and their leader officially dead, they could afford slip-ups less than ever before. Akira still took a buncha tasks on but during the last meeting they had insisted on carrying some of the burden. It was safer that way. Besides, Ryuuji had been to Untouchable before and knew the guy, so it’d be a little easier to get some equipment out of him. He shuddered at the thought of having someone like Ann try, no thanks.
“ Yo ”, he greeted the artist, hands shoved into the pockets of his pants and a surprisingly calm look on his face. It was gonna be different with just the two of them. Yusuke’s expression was so stern, though. God. “ Dude, don’t look at me like that. You’re makin’ me all tense. ”
Ryuuji scratched the back of his head and was about to reply, when the growling of Yusuke’s stomach made itself known. The blond snorted and playfully smacked the other boy’s back perhaps with a little too much force.
“ No way dude! You’re gonna draw way too much attention if your stomach’s grumblin’ that loud. Let’s grab some food first, aight? ” He passed on saying ‘ my treat. ’ Knowing the artist, he’d end up thinking Ryuuji was the richest guy on earth. Which by the way, he wasn’t!
“ We got time left. Ain’t gonna hit the, uh, boat today, after all. ”
@lazyparallelworld // Yusuke & Ryuji !
Yusuke was starting to appreciate just how much Akira did for the team. Especially now, when it was down to Ryuji and Yusuke to make the preparations for Shido’s palace. Akira couldn’t afford to be seen, and no one would bat an eyelid at someone like Ryuji trying to buy model guns. Yusuke was there because someone had to be, and between the student president, the recluse, Okumura’s daughter and the part time model, Yusuke would draw the least attention. At least, he hoped not.
They were due to meet up after school in Shibuya. Somehow, doing this made what they were doing - or rather, had been doing - feel more concrete. More criminal. More shady. Nothing had changed, and yet…
Ryuji’s hair stuck out among the crowd, the shocking streak of blond contrasting against the brown and black hair of most folk. Yusuke nodded at him as they came together. ❝ Are we ready? ❞ This was oddly exhilarating for him, like they were really committing crimes. He supposed they already were. He gave Ryuji a little smile. ❝ Let us be off, then. ❞ His stomach growled in that moment, but Yusuke chose to ignore it. He was fine. Besides, they had a job to do. He could eat later, if he remembered.
