Autumn/Winter Qblogger Fashion Challenge with Queensgate
Autumn/Winter Qblogger Fashion Challenge with Queensgate
With every new season, a new QBlogger challenge awaits me. So when I was invited to Carluccio’s in Peterborough for drinks and some nibbles to find out what our next task would be, I had to say yes.
After some lovely canapes from Carluccio’s new starter menu (I had a particular love for the chicken wrapped in parma ham and caramelised onion bruschetta) and a glass of wine, we all opened our…

A One Stop Shop For Beauty Essentials
A One Stop Shop For Beauty Essentials
I often overlook Poundland as a place to shop for my beauty essentials, mainly because of the failed ‘full face of Poundland makeup’ YouTube videos I’ve seen! It’s never been my first port of call when it comes to buying beauty products. However, I visited one of the stores in my hometown (to pick up snacks, naturally) and stumbled upon some goodies!
The first thing that caught my eye when I…

Masking Monday: Coco & Eve Like A Virgin Hair Masque
Masking Monday: Coco & Eve Like A Virgin Hair Masque
If there’s one thing I really take pride in, it’s definitely my hair. I love keeping it silky soft and de-frizzed, so if there’s anything in the haircare market that will help me achieve this, you best believe I’ll try it!
My best friend asked me if I wanted to try out the Coco & Eve Like A Virgin hair masqueand to be honest, I was a little skeptical at first because I had only seen this brand on…

Masking Monday: Derma v10 Clay Masks
Masking Monday: Derma v10 Clay Masks
Like almost every person, I love a good face mask. I also love an efficient, yet affordable face mask. So voila – take a look at these Derma v10 Clay Masks.
They have a striking resemblance to other reputable face masks, except they’re a fraction of the price! I received the Detoxifying Mask*, Purifying Mask* and the Brightening Mask* and couldn’t wait to try them out.
All three are very similar…

A dupe for YSL's Black Opium?
A dupe for YSL’s Black Opium?
Yves Saint Laurent’s Black Opium perfume is a holy grail in millions of girls’ lives and it’s clear to see (or smell) why! Not only does the bottle look pretty, but the scent itself is both sexy and elegant, with strong notes of coffee and vanilla.

For Valentine’s this year, myself and my boyfriend went to Birmingham for the weekend to go and watch PARTYNEXTDOOR perform at the O2 Academy (highly recommend).
At the ripe age of 22 (almost 23), I still haven’t found ‘my style‘. Like most girls out there, I love feeling all pretty in pink and heels, but don’t get me wrong, casual and comfortable is what I’m really about! When Tobi emailed me asking to collaborate, I couldn’t resist – it was my chance to really put myself out there and step out my comfort zone.
Fashion photos aren’t really my forte, nor am I photogenic! I’m still finding my own way of taking outfit shots for now (definitely one of my goals for 2019)!
Tobi is an online-only fashion boutique based in Los Angeles but they ship to over 150 countries worldwide! From dainty, elegant pieces to cute and casual, Tobi has an amazing range of clothes for a good price.
This Valentine’s I wore the Half Thought Sweater Dress* in Rose, paired with my favourite over the knee boots from New Look. The dress is exactly as I expected which is one of the biggest issues people face when ordering online.
As a shortie at only 5ft 3, finding dresses (in particular, jumper dresses) that don’t come below the knee is a pretty tough job! However, I found that this sweater dress came just above my knees – it didn’t meet my boots!
I tied a belt around my waist to bring the dress in a bit and rolled up the sleeves to make it look more fitted (and to show off my watch, of course) – just a personal preference! It also dons cold shoulders and a high neck collar which is perfect for the British weather!
What did you do for Valentine’s Day?! Tell me all about it!

Review: Marc Jacobs Highliner
Want to invest in a high-end liner? You should check these out!
I’m not really a high-end makeup kinda girl but when Influenster contacted me asking if I’d like to receive a Marc Jacobs Voxbox, I couldn’t say no!
Tumblr media
I received 2 Marc Jacobs Matte Highliner Gel Crayon Eyeliners* in the shades ‘Pink of Me’ and ‘Earthquake’, which are priced at £20 each.
Of course, the price is probably enough to make some of us fall off our chairs, however, I can hand on heart say

November Favourites
I have a lot of beauty products I’ve been loving this month so I’m going to keep it as short and sweet as possible for you!
First is the Wonderland Studio Finish Primer (£15) which I was recently sent to review and I absolutely love it – so much that I’ve often been wearing it aloneon days where I don’t have makeup on – it makes my skin have an even, non-oily finish! Definitely a dupe for another…

QBloggers: Festive Feasting with Queensgate
At the end of November, I was lucky enough to be invited to an event hosted by my local shopping centre, Queensgate.
Of course, the event involved tasting foods from a variety of shops and restaurants in Peterborough – and who says no to food?!
The amount that was there was pretty overwhelming, ranging from chocolate to burgers and even glittery prosecco! So without further ado, here are some of…

Christmas Gift Guide: Mums' Edition
Christmas Gift Guide: Mums’ Edition
As Christmas is fast approaching (eek) I thought I’d pull together one of my favourite kinds of gift guide – for mums (and nans!).
We all think mums are easy to buy for however with so many products on the market these days, that can prove quite difficult so I’ve whittled down three of my favourites for you!
Tumblr media
First on my list is the L’Occitane Almond Voyage Collection* (£19) which includes the…

Review: Wonderland Makeup
If I’m honest, for a little while now I’ve felt like I’ve fallen out of love with makeup. The thought of waking up an hour earlier when it’s cold and dark outside is daunting! However, that doesn’t mean I stop wearing it.
So, when Wonderland Makeupcontacted me asking to review a few of their products, I thought it was the perfect opportunity for me to enjoy experimenting with new makeup again.…

Hey guys!
I’m pretty sure you’ve seen this product all over social media lately – so naturally, I had to go out and try it for myself.
The Maybelline Tattoo Brow is available in the UK in three different shades: light brown, medium brown and dark brown. Unfortunately when I went into my local Superdrug the only shade available was medium brown (however this is a pretty good match for me) and it cost £12.99.
Now you’re probably thinking that’s a pretty steep price for a drugstore eyebrow product, but it is a brow tint that can last up to three days so for me, the price is worth it.
Here’s my eyebrows before:

My brows during:
Tumblr media
The consistency of the product is quite thick but fairly easy to work with. I found that using a bit of pressure when applying the tint works better as it will tint all the hairs underneath too! It is recommended that you leave the product on for 20 minutes (or until it’s completely dry) if you only want it to last a day or so. I personally put this product on first before doing the rest of my face!
You can also leave the product on for at least two hours if you want it to last for 3 days!
The result:
You can see in the above photos that the Maybelline Tattoo Brow filled in all of my sparse areas and made them look slightly fuller and darker! This is perfect for anyone who likes a natural looking brow, although if you like a more dramatic brow this could work for you too, but it doesn’t give that natural fading effect (definitely could be achieved with the use of a pencil though).
Tumblr media
I left the product on my brows for about 30-45 minutes and it definitely lasted 2 whole days! I suppose the longevity depends on how you clean your face and the products you use etc.
All in all I do think this a product I will continue to use and repurchase! You can get yours here or from your local Maybelline stockist.
Have you used this product before? What do you think?!

Thinking about commuting to university?
Thinking about commuting to university?
Hey guys,
Grab yourself a cuppa and some snacks because this is a loooong one!
Now I’m fully aware that this post is coming a bit late, seeing as everyone is already moving or going to university however I believe it’s quite a controversial subject.
If you didn’t know, I graduated this year and I commuted for two out of the three years of my course duration.
Everybody thinks the worst when it…
