How was the immigration process? Was it long and daunting? Did it pass faster than you expected?

It was long, expensive, and VERY stressful. I will not sugarcoat it. It was hell... At first, it dragged because of all of the paperwork we had to do. Then, when the day came for our interview it passed by and it was a breeze! Just make sure you follow instructions from USCIS and you will be fine. :)

remember the time you said your dad warmed up to carlos after meeting him on skype? what about after meeting him in person - did they go grab a beer and sit around talking about guy stuff? XD

Well, they seemed get along fine. My Dad was a bit apprehensive still because of Carlos’ eyesight. He has low vision. So, my Dad had ignorant misconceptions about him and thought I would have to take care of Carlos all his life or whatever. Of course he is capable of taking care of himself even with his low vision. :)

it's been so loooong welcome back! what else happened while you were gone? ilu and i hope you had a wonderful 2017! guess what? my beautiful bb (the one i've told you about a couple times wrt football) ... well it's not about football this time ... while you were away she had a baby boy if you wanna know :D

We got it!

We got the green card! The interview went perfectly! :) Carlos received his green card ON the 18th on our wedding anniversary! If that is not fate I don’t know what is!

Wedding // October 18th, 2017

Sorry that I have been MIA again! D: I just wanted to give you guys a nice picture from our wedding! Things are going well. We sent in our papers, got them approved, got a notice to do the biometrics appointment (fingerprints, pictures, etc.), and now we are waiting for Carlos’ work permit. :D And then, after that we will get a notification in the mail about going for an interview as a couple! We are so close to being done with all of this! ^_^

I challenged Carlos to beat my fastest time in Solitaire which used to be 2:15... I just beat my best time and sent this screenshot to him... I am laughing so hard because he is like, "FFFFFFFUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKK! 😂

Update 04/07/17

So, yes we are still together and going strong. :) Carlos is about to defend his thesis in May and then he will be coming back VERY soon after that. SO YAYYYYYY! I hope you guys are excited because we are! Thanks to those who stuck by us. ^_^
