So I was trying to conceive of my Grillby OC (blue) in a mermaid-AU and I came across the Glaucus Atlanticus slug, then immediately thought of your slug OCs 🥰🥰🥰 I was wondering if you had ever drawn a design for this specific species? (Inserted slug tax 💙🩵💙)

I’ve had my eye on these guys since practically the start of my sea slug kick. It’s such a recognizable species! I’ve had vague ideas on how a design of them might look, but never sat down to really get into it ‘til now.

I mostly looked at Atlanticus, but Glaucus bennettae also gave some good inspo with the bold dark back without the countershading. I thought mainly of two different ways I could turn the fins into hair, and used them on the two middle designs. I also thought it would work well as a beard shape, so I tried it on the left-most design.

It was fun to try and make a bunch of designs off the same type of slug tho! Definitely an exercise I want to do again. Thank you for giving me an excuse to draw more slugs ✨
