A letter to my parents
This a letter written in April 30, 1944. The letter was written with the purpose of being sent to his parents to let them know that he has moved to another place and for wishing them a great Easter.
He explained she was okay in the new place which is Anzio. He tries to convince his parents that they shouldn’t worry about how she was doing. In the letter, he sends regards to his aunt and advises them that he might go swimming in the Tyrennian Sea.
In my opinion, I think she could have written a more extensive letter to his parents by the reason I think he could have given more details about the situation in which he was.
If only he had written about he was feeling the story would have taken a different perspective.
I would have recommend it if the letter were written with more details and if he had showed more feelings at the time he was writing the letter. Despite the author didn’t write a lot, I like the letter because I have never read before a letter where a boy tried to convince his parents that he was actually fine during the war without his family. For me, it was really interesting reading a letter from a boy that has been separated from his family and how he was acting as if everything were normal.

SEMPTEMBER 2, 1939
Tumblr media
This is a piece of a well structured writing, whose author is Mr. Jean Prussing. It was written on September 2nd in 1939, that means one day after the beginning of World War II. The article talks about the beginning of something new, not only dark and mute but also feared and atrocious.
This poem it’s about the rise of fear, the emerge of something evil, a big struggle which is able to shatter emotions and aspirations of a person that is commonly known as “war”. Jean Prussing describes the war in a deeply way such as a shadow that emerges from the wall beneath the smoke caused by the flames.
As far as I am concerned I genuinely consider this poem as great piece of writing because the Jean Prussing describes in an excellent and scary way the beginning of World War II. In addition, the use of useful adjectives is a good way to attract readers attention and I think that the author did it very well and, personally, it worked.
In conclusion, I would rate this poem with 9.5/10. This personal grade is because all the aspects described above but the most important thing that needs to be considered is the use of adjectives to really understand how people thought these second War would be.

My Mothers’ Experience of WWII
|Memories of a young girl|
Written by Mrs. Pat Blain in 1960, this article talks about a woman who is telling her story about her life during World War II. She explains how her family survived the war and how much effort they needed to make to stay alive during war.
She had to be brave and show a strong personality by not giving up in front of her brothers and showing authority to them. She had to be really strong because she had to take care of her brothers and she had to work for helping her mom as a reason of her father’s absence.
I think she went through the worst moments of her life. To think that she saw how Nazis were taking out the people from their houses and how they were treated, it gives me the shivers. According to what she said in the article, she was a little girl when she passed through all these events during this period of time; I am sure that this trauma stayed in her for the rest of her life. Gas masks were given to all the people in the town for their own protection. I can assure that for her mom it must have been so difficult to afford taking care of her and her children and to have to go to work and look after a large family and cope with all the deprivations of war.
I would really recommend this article, she did a really good job explaining and telling her story during the war. The way the story is described makes you feel like if you were actually there living all the events she passed through. After reading this article, everybody will see the story of the World War II from a different perspective.

Germany
The “greatness” of the Third Reich
Would you like to be killed just because of your race? Well, we can assure you that you wouldn’t, not only because all the struggle going on around the major part of Europe but also Germany`s internal problems which were completely destroying little by little the German homeland.
The Nazi German government hated communists, Jewish, disabled and black people. As we all know, those people were sent to ghettos where the human rights were entirely trampled just because every person who was identified as “inhuman” would be judged and later slave on concentration camps.
It is pretty clear that on the ghettos the words “human rights” didn’t even exist, firstly because there wasn’t freedom, the people were constantly tortured, most of them died because of starvation or, sometimes, diseases.
All in all, we are sure that the Nazi Germany was horrible, not only because Germany started the WW2 but also because genocide was considered a good action. In addition, it is sad to think that human rights were considered as essentials in every human being after more than 6 million of innocent people were killed during the “greatness” of the Third Reich.

France
The Nazi “Scourge”
Do you really think that France was harassed by Germany? Many people know that The Nazi German government ruled over more than half of Europe, but only a few know what really happened with human rights in the occupied France.
As we are all aware WW2 was the most ruthless event recorded on human history just because many human rights were completely violated under the cruel regime of the Nazi Party. In fact, France was the exception. During the Nazi forces occupation, France and Germany knew how to get along with each other. But still many lives were lost due to the Nazi’s attrocities.
Despite many people think about the Nazi occupation as a destructive and violent act, it really wasn't that way. Most of the French people cooperated with the Nazi Party or they were just indifferent about that “struggle”. Of course, antisemitism was still active and almost 50% of the Jewish population were sent to ghettos and later killed.
In conclusion, we strongly believe that France wasn’t punished by the Nazi regime, on the contrary, both cooperated in an extraordinary way, compared to Poland or Germany itself!. In addition, human rights weren't ignored as much as many people believe. There was control all around the occupied French homeland.
