there were a lot of ships, a lot of crack ships before. different videos and edits with different themes and different anime/manga/manhua/manhwa and even donghua. I'm going back to the blue Exorcist fandom because a new season has come out and honestly i'm already tired of the fandom. All of Yukio's hate is produced more out of "he's mean to Rin😭😔" than any other personal reasons. Fuck off from him, he tried to commit suicide three times. He's 16 for fucks sake.

he is not a universal evil, he is not a bad person, he is just a teenage boy who is traumatized and broken. and there's no shit "but rin—" no, no rin anymore. For Yukio, this has always been a big trigger, he needs his own personal comfort and not the throwing of his brothers in his face.

And that's OKAY. just because Rin loves him doesn't mean that Yukio feels loved. It's terrible to blame people for like "you cant see how I love you, you ungrateful shit". Yukio had a purpose in life that was built to copy his father and his goals, Yukio lost everything when he found out the truth and his moral compass went astray. He is in terrible confusion, in fear and misunderstanding, he cannot explain his feelings and deal with them himself, he feels absolutely alone. his fake identity is starting to crack at the seams and it's physically painful because this "mask" has grown into his skin. even if he is surrounded by people who can help him, he does not see it, he does not feel safe and understands that he will not be understood at the level he wanted.

Seriously, he could have done a ton of shit and I'm still going to defend him because he's acting like this not because he's just an asshole, but because he's in pain and we all get angry when it hurts. especially if it hurts all the time. especially if you're tired, but you can't sleep it off because it's not your body that's tired. It's your soul.

In fact, sometimes jiang cheng appears in my head under the bright passionate label "jealous hysterical wife" as in some kind of comedic exaggerated cartoon 😭 and the posts on chengxian tag that i see literally confirm this??

"Female third party", "second female lead" , "widow", "nagging girlfriend", "grumpy wife". he's such a malewife in the most unhinged way but angst no comfort.

This might sound weird but a lot of the hate towards jiang cheng feels vaguely misogynistic because i feel like canon treats him as the female third party obstacle between lwj and wwx. Not only does he get compared to his mom by his looks and attitudes but he definitely also gets the treatment that female characters often do when they come in between a ship. But he just happens to be a man. Like reimagine canon with a female jc and the relationship between him and wwx would appear a whole lot more romantic. And lwjs disdain for him makes even more sense, outside the whole siege stuff.

Omfg, with the release of the new episode, i really feel sorry for izana and his slow&late realization he was never alone, but i still don't understand the whole hate on karen 😭 someone even wrote a comment "izana should have beaten her, not shin" like for what?? "Oh, Karen, how dare you not love this boy who came from nowhere, conceived by your husband and some prostitute from the Philippines, was dumped on you at a random moment after your husband was killed" 🤡

The whole story is dirty and sad, but it was the best choice to leave the children if she was morally decomposing and couldn't raise them. Emma was lucky because Karen gave her to the Sano family, place where she could be financially supported and enveloped in love. Izana was less lucky, but as if Karen could have done more. I saw the comment "she split emma and izana!1!!1 hOW dArE ShE" and people kind of actually expected her to bring some random ass kid to sano's like "get your biological relative and second child as a gift" to Sano's house.

OK, shinichiro was incredibly kind and family was ready to accept izana, but in reality you can't expect such things. especially karen.
