Day: Friday, April 26th / 27th* Time: 7:05 PM EST

"You two could at least say hello," Wymack says, somewhat aggrieved. "There's no point," Kevin says. "All they are is a distraction." "It's called a support network. Look it up." "Thea is watching from South tonight," Kevin says, looking to the elevated VIP box. It is too far away and too high up for Neil to make out any faces, but there is a small crowd gathered at the windowed walls already. Knowing the Court is here to watch them play sends a chill through Neil's veins. Kevin drags his stare back to Wymack's face and says, "and my father comes to all of my games. That is enough." On Wymack's other side, Abby's gaze softens. Wymack's jaw works for a moment before he can say in an even tone, "Your mother would be proud of you." "Not just of me," Kevin says in a rare bout of humanity.

thinking about Neil’s first game with the foxes against the jackals and how ‘the fractured mess of a team pulled it together on the court’ and how the twins are so in sync on the court to be a weapon, how dan is ferocious with her leadership to pull the team together, how Kevin simply says get him off me about gorilla and Matt delivers straight away, how Andrew is already the best goal keeper in the ncaa without even breaking a sweat—

One of my most favorite headcanons I have for Andrew is that at the start of aftg he and Aaron have buzz cuts. The reason being someone had a thing for pulling Andrew’s hair when he was younger so he got rid of the weakness before it could be used against him again. Once he starts to really make progress in his healing journey though, he lets it grow out a little longer each time before he shaves it all off again and eventually, by the time he goes pro, he’s got himself a nice head of what I can only describe as sports hair. Just long enough that curls bunch just under the back of his helmet. It’s a little mulletie and is so blond and so thick and wavy. Andrew still buzzes it from time to time, whether it be impulsively or just because, but long hair Andrew becomes quite the media start.

Bonus: The reason Aaron didn’t fight Andrew on this one particular thing is because 1 his hair was already super short to begin with and 2 the reason for that was so Tilda had a harder time grabbing onto it. Aaron, too, grows his hair out eventually, but once it’s long it stays that way and he does this many years before Andrew.

Anyway, this was just a long way of me saying Andrew starts growing his hair out when he truly begins to heal. Okay. Love you, bye.

AFTG HC: Neil doesn’t get shotgun because him and Andrew are a ‘thing’. He gets front seat because if Andrew has to hear Aaron whine about Neil poking him one more time, Andrew swears to God he will turn this car around!

"Fuck him," Kevin says, sliding a little further down the door. "Fuck all of them. Waste of time to be angry. They should be afraid." "Hell hath no fury," Andrew says.

New year, new obsession 🦊

I'm glad I looked past the first sentences of aftg, which really made me want to just close the book and never open it again. After a while, I somehow fell in love with that mess 💓

No specific scene or anything, just thought about how I imagine Andrew, Aaron and Kevin could look like (kind of at least)
