hiiya! as I have become used to being a second year at university and everything regaring my study abroad next semester has calmed down a bit, I’ve been able to spend some more time on my hobbies lately, which means I’m finally reading all the magazines (featuring Kenta of course) I’ve bought in the past year and am trying to translate them again! This short interview from June 2021, right before the first part of the Banana Fish stage play was happening (if I remember correctly?) was the first out of a lot of magazines I have chilling on my bookshelves, so if you’re interested in reading it, don’t hesitate to message me!

hello I haven’t posted on here in forever (I’m sorry, I’m planning on translating more kenta content from november on, as I’m currently working my way through a Japanese novel and am busy with my studies), but thanks to a very good friend of mine I was able to view a little of the As A live he did on August 13, which can’t be viewed outside of Japan bc Eplus hates foreigners, and I need to talk about Kenta’s speech about his dream for a second.

This man has ended me, as he’s been doing for the past 2,5 years, but he’s really done it this time. The first Kenta interview I ever laid my eyes on, was an interview from 2019 where Kenta was still part of AOX. He talked about his dream. He’s only had one dream ever since high school: becoming an artist. He’s mentioned this dream a few times in later magazines as well, but never really went into detail (at least, not in the magazines I’ve read).

Until now. In a 6 minute long speech (which really is long for Kenta, in my opinion he always struggles with talking for a long time by himself) he went into depth about this dream of his. He talked about how he always played soccer, not taking that too seriously and his fateful encounter with music, especially the guitar, in high school. He talked about how, by having organised this live, one of his dreams has come true: standing in front of people and singing the songs he’s written himself. He noticed how much he loves doing this and how he wants to create an even bigger live, with more songs. He’s aiming for that, using the experience he gets as an actor. And I will support him. Forever.
