I think it hasn't quite fully hit me just how rare witnessing a full eclipse really is.

We just happened to hear the path of totality was passing over us. Making plans to see it was just as simple as taking a bus and hanging out

And now it won't happen again in this location, for centuries

What are the chances of that happening? Within our time at school? With these people?? With these chances???

(also considering how a lot of my thesis ideas have been based around solar eclipses... I feel like this is a universal sign to go through these ideas now LOL)

Twitter is falling apart, but unfortunately it's the only platform where that most artists are active in! I'm not sure whats our next move for us is at this point. Where would we even go from here??

Hahahaha

I went to the ppl working in customer service and we talked but about school and stuff. One of the associates there told the customer service manager that I drew a lot, and they asked to see my work

I showed them the clean up shots I did for someone's thesis film. They really liked it!

And then the associate + manager proceeded to ask me something along the lines of "why are you still working here if you already found something for you?"

I told them it was just to get the non-art experience, just real world experience (and money too, honestly, but ofc I'm not gonna say that with customers watching nearby the customer service department lol)

But idk I felt very touched by that question

Its like this place was saying "you can be bigger than this, and you are"

We talked a little more and the manager joked saying that when I make or help with some animated film one day, they could tell their kids that they knew the person behind it

Idk. It's feeding into my ego a little bit, but I think it's okay to be proud of what I'm capable of, even just a little bit

I should really be more active on here!! I keep talking about wanting a blog for myself and then I never say anything!!

This year I didn't make myself a good schedule and a lot of things are all over the place :( I don't blame myself though, I've had a lot on my plate this year, so much that I believe I've earned the workaholic title fair and square

Once this semester ends I'm organizing my time again >:( saying hello again to the silly schedule apps and calendars and weekly agendas it'll be so great

Yesterday I roughed out some beatboards for a project

And when I finished to review all the notes, for a split second my mind went "yes. This has excellent rhythm and flow you're a genius."

It's probably not the best XDD, and I know I've still got a lot to learn

But I'm glad I can feel confident in what I'm doing, my younger self would be very flabbergasted at the thought of complimenting myself once
