THE MARCH OF THE WOMEN performance commissioned by Grace Exhibition Space for its “21st Suffragettes: International Performance Art by Women” Festival - May 2016

Drawing from the symbolic unison of the Suffragettes Women's march for freedom, Legacy Fatale premiered its Army of Women. In response to the recent resurgence of anti-feminist backlashes around the world most notoriously the neo-masculine movement of rape culture, Legacy Fatale has invited both women and men to follow their march, chanting the original Anthem of the 1911′s Suffragettes movement through the streets of Bushwick in a procession to Grace Exhibition space. This counter protest is tied to the political context of leadership in America. Exploring the question: Do we still need to keep marching? The following performance ‘The Lasso of Truth’ at Grace Exhibition Space leads to a final tableaux featuring a sound piece inviting the audience to take part in human peace transcending gender and races.

A celebration of the feminine and the divine, Legacy Fatale performs a DUO, invited by feminist blog “Slutist” Editor, Kristen Korvette to perform amongst a line-up of radical performance feminist artists, music meets dance meets burlesque.

We premiered our new duo, DARK VENUS, a ritual unfolding from obscure territories into spiritual ephemera, from dark into the light.

For Nancy Azara’s HAND/MADE Exhibition at the WOODSTOCK Byrdcliffe Guild, Legacy Fatale teamed up once again with transnational feminists Go!Push Pops.  An explorative women’s rituals was performed at the Kleinert/James Gallery Center, September 6th, 2015, NY. Titled a THOUSAND TIMES THY LIGHT, a spin on a classic Shakespeare poem, our collaborative performance cultivated the message of inner light through contact improvisation, instinctive motions and vocals, sparked by a pre-savage romp at Woodstock’s official drumming circle. Front page in the Woodstock Times memorialized this occasion.

LEGACY FATALE special tribute performance for a Queen. Countess LuAnn de Lesseps from the Real Housewives of New York came to visit our residence with Milk and Night curatorial, at SELECT fair Miami. We asked her to stand as an Amazon Queen and performed our tribal chanting dance, a procession honoring her female empowerment.
