[A poem about love that's not meant to be I can't help but feel something is missing]
Two Worlds Apart
He is the sun, and she the moon
He was her yin-she was his yang
To one another, they were the same
With fleeing fathers and kin turned cruel
Each found in the other what home never gave
Their hearts together rethreaded
what their homes fractured
They spoke through night and day
They spoke through the night and day,
They found wild joy in one another's smile
Sharing quiet laughter in the spaces between words
Unburdened by their fate, free to be what they were
Yet, in the midst of it, the truth lingered in the air-
They were two worlds apart
Impossible to come together
Their rifts were written everywhere-
from deep within, to the stars in bold,
undeniable strokes.
Unraveled by the very stars that ruled the sky,
etched laws not their own.
What wasn't possible, could not be forced-
The fate the stars forged had torn them apart
She turned from his light
Knowing her path curved
toward another night-born soul
His orbit defied all the stars,
Chasing her fleeing form from afar,
Yet time dragged at his course-
Every pulse of light screamed against the void,
The sun, shattered by love's burning flame,
Fought the truth but in the end
Veered to another light born soul
For fate could not be swayed
Both now searching for their halves,
But the moon, in silence accepted the cost,
Her heart fractured, yet still whole.
She understood fate in her very core
She carried her love like the night carried the stars
Unseen, but ethereal.

Growing Up..
Growing up was my dream as a child
I would get to do whatever I want
Enjoy life more they said
Become an adult and be free
I'm growing up now
But so far I don't see it
I don't see what's so great
I always thought life would be easier
But it only seems to get harder
School is becoming a heavy burden
A heavy chore unlike before, when it was fun
Time is only pulling my soul down
Down to the depths of my own hell
Unbearable sometimes even more
I hate growing but I can't get it behind me
It's like an overbearing shadow
Taking more than his share
Reminding me of all I lost
Slowly creeping its way up to my heart
Until it will swallow me up
And then i'll be at peace..gone

Struggle of sleep
I struggle with sleeping
I struggle with darkness
The nightmares haunt me
They drive me
They control me
I hate the night
An ignorant reminder
Of my weaknesses
I barely sleep
My heart ever relaxes
Always heavy on my chest
The screams haunt me
darkness becomes my vision
Its endless torment
That scares my very soul
I can't sleep..

The Hollow Mirror
look at my reflection
And nothing stares back at me
I thought people had eyes
That see and link
But mine art as empty fog
As shallow as the ocean
As dark as earth's core
But I try to love myself
I struggle with such
I wish I was like my father
A bright man loved by many
But unjustly fate took him
It stole my shine,
My smile with him
My happiness...my life

The fairies journey
A beautiful entity a fairy
She lives in the depths of the forest
Alone and not fairly sane
Her beauty shone through the trees
Her golden eyes-whimsical wings
She drifted like an empty orb
No purpose nor path to tread
She was trapped
But her heart yearned for something
Her heart reached for the unreachable
She flew day and night
Hoping-searching for a meaning
Darkness seemed to be her only path
Only the shadow of night to guide
Fate spoke his voice a torch in the dark
Yet fate had plans unknown to her
Fate had no eyes nor body
But it led her through the forest
Her wings flapping helplessly
Until light creaked at the end
The trees at journey's end
Glowed strange to her
She crossed to the light
Her eyes brightening of amethyst
Her feathers unsheding the dark
A heavy shackle unbound by fate
A radiant glow shadowed her steps
The once unreachable now lay at her feet
She ran through the new forest
Colors unknown to her shining
The grass embraced her feet curling forth
Her lips curling up into a foergin smile
Overjoyed-etranced-as if in a fairytale
At last her soul tasted peace

The Cries Of The Weak
In the shallow fallow
Whither anon bodies lay;
N'ay, morrow aye, sorrow
Men went whither arrows
A dull rapier now lies blood-red
Heartless knave! Take heed:
Thine 'eart is impure
Thou art big and mighty
Wherefore, are thine eyes dull?
Eyes art as empty as the fog,
Thine heart is most weak
Heavy steps fill the hamlet;
Screeching doors screaming souls.
Pure injustice hither and thither,
Thine hallow only strikes the meek.
Thou mak'st sorrow reality.
Whither once children played now rubblle lies;
The bright sun but gruesome dark.
Wherefore, dost thou feign thy strength?
Forsooth, dark fate shalt pursue thee
A pox upon thee, Foul knave!
Thy time shalt come unto an end;
Thy deeds shall comst back and strike thee low.
Pure agony and despair shall strike thine heart
Peace shall take place, though scars shall last.

Mother
My mother never hit me
She believed violence was
Never the choice
I look at her admiring her
But I can't forget
I can't forget her stubbornness
She could never be wrong
Even when she was wrong
The world was wrong
And she only was right
My mother truly was there

Gleam Under The Eclipse
The sun, so bold, so mighty
She is the brightest star by far.
Her life is most bright;
She make'th reality life.
She dost dance of bright gold,
A free spirit with almost no dread.
Thou doth no breaks
The lonely shadow.
Colorless, with no apperant life,
The moon strikes yet cannot strive,
An empty orb he only but a mere witness.
the moon lives a mournfull life;
Devoid of any feeling.
the dark moon envies her life'th;
He watche'th from the shadows side,
Pale and not remotely sane.
He is covered in her shine,
From her gold beams to her tear streams.
Be not fear'd; 'tis but a foreign gleam.
'Tis but a contorted lie,
A twisted heart.
She can see but cannot feel;
He cannot see but can feel.
Her heart is most drowned,
His heart yet to exist.
A pale peck catches her gleam;
She feels her own sorrow, once unseen.
Be fear'd, her heart rebounds,
A cold shiver strikes down her spine.
His pain nearly seeming too blunt,
She feels extremely in vain.
Her mask seemingly faltering,
Cracks slowly take their own place.
The moon seeks her gleam;
He cannot help but see through her scheme.
His heart maybe takes a beat?
Or so it seems.
The moon reeks of hidden reach,
His inner veil almost now too frail.

Oh Little Rain
Oh little drops, little drops.
the sound she mak'th is too distracting.
Bold echos ring in our ears,
She giveth and taketh
The little flops like silent rocks,
Drops fall fast, Loud they sound,
With almost no echo.
She mockth us with her wrath
Blocks of loud rage.
She hallows'th like a raging storm,
She feedth the lows and strikes the highs,
The weakly birds doth travel and travel,
They seek but shelter,
But only are giv'n her cold rage.
Whilst the crops strive and thrive,
Her rage is of amaze to them,
Her rage stirreth their roots to life,
Blessing and feeding the needy.
The rain simply liveth, choosing no sides,
She destructeth and restructeth,
Causing both gain and pain.
The birds flee for life,
Whilst the crops get fed,
They feed on her thriving rage.

Fear
The fear ignites me
Wherever I run
Whereever I go
The feeling follows me
It haunts me
It burdens my very soul
There is no escape
dark and malicious-brutal vile
It's heavy arms cling onto me
It whispers to me
Words and thoughts collide
It's own shadow becoming mine
Yet my shivering soul
Runs in the dark
It runs as fast
No escape remains
No light no hope
Yet I still run,
For fear gives chase

Father's Memory
What is a father?
That question stings
Leaving many pondering
A figure almost a blur to me
His memory clinging onto me
It leaves me in awe
My father was a great man
He gave-sheltered many
Yet his presence, a fleeting ghost
Day after day waiting
The slow walking clock
Becoming my only friend
But the time never came
His memory now burdens
I grow without a father
I live without his soul
A piece of me unrightfully stolen
Yet my heart yearns for him
It aches whispering his name
His death took too much
Leaving me adrift in despair
He truly was a great man
