Autumn sighed as she walked through the streets of Yongen-Jaya aimlessly. She didn’t had a destination in mind. She often had a lot on her mind. She found that activities like walking or parkour helped calm her racing thoughts.

Those said thoughts were interrupted by the hungry growl of her stomach. The second year student had skipped breakfast that morning. She started to look around for a place to eat.

“Oh, well, thank you for your concern,” She said, caught a bit off guard. “I’m alright though.” She was used to being alone or ignored by most people. It was normal for her. Her only friend, Louis, went to a different high school than her. Kosei, she believed. As for her family, her dad was often overworked and stressed. She didn’t want to put any additional burdens on him. And her mom, well, Autumn didn’t have the best relationship with her mother. She nagged Autumn over every little thing and didn’t approve of a lot of Autumn’s hobbies or interests. Autumn often felt like she had to walk on eggshells when talking to her.

Autumn snapped out of her train of thought and turned to look at the blond boy. She recognized him, having seen him around school before. Sakamoto, if she remembered correctly. She knew that they were in the same year, different classes though. According to rumors, apparently he was a delinquent, though honestly, she never really put too much faith into rumors nor did she care if he really was a delinquent or not.

“I don’t believe so,” she replied. “You’ve probably seen me around school though.”

She was somewhat surprised that he approached her. Most of her peers tended to either ignore her or avoid her due to her seemingly cold and intimidating aura. It wasn’t her fault she had a resting bitch face.

“I’m Sterling Autumn.” She knew her name probably sounded strange to him, given the fact she wasn’t born in Japan. Her family had moved to Japan from the States five years due to her dad’s work.
